Comunism, Socialism sounds like utopia in concept. In practice, reality, it ends up being an oppressive form of government. There are always people who think they are more equal than others and they always seek power in government. By giving control of your life to the government you put yourself under their thumb. The republican form of government seeks to keep the power in the hands of the individual and not in the hands of the government.

Yes, the Trudeau video was amazing. A politician using Logic! A shame he was a socialist. I think this is what Ayn Rand meant when she said the left was the only intellectual power in politics at the time. I think she had respect for them for that, though being 100% against their position.
