i have a simian line on the left. i am a creative person, i can pop idea whenever, wherever and in any situation, especially in crunch time. and for some reason if i am focus on things that i like, thanks GOD i can be success. when i was in 7th grade i didnt pass my class twice, i thought i am dumb but find out later in years, i love to experiment not to remember. i like to pay attention on people behavior and also always curious. curiousity that gain my careers

i have a line on my hand which was a full horizontal. my life has been a mess, some people find me odd because of rumors but the truth is i have a bad social skill. i can't talk to people while looking at their eyes. i am a irresponsible guy and i pass my classes al the time but barely.. i tell myself everyday how did all this bad stuff happen to me i looked for religious reasons and tried praying witch find not work. until i found out my line is different from other people.

My whole life I always saw the line as a, sort of a doll stitch of my creation. But until 2 weeks ago, I showed it to my mother, and she has never seen one nor knew that I had it, I found that very weird.. I've been trying to find information about the line, and there are just so many different views and ideas on it I'm just left baffled. Although the missing crease does allow the hand to fold easier which means I should start playing all my instruments lefty, or just take over the world.

I have simian lines on both palms. My hands look like they each have a giant perfect seven on them. Pretty interested in what it means. I have always felt a little emotionally distant from others and numb, kind of self involved. I guess a lot of people feel that way without simian lines though.

ive got thems lines on both hands , but they also branch off like "popular" hand lines. i dont know what i think about it, but i think its all about how you "grab" for what you most want. and dedicate yourself, "intensly" . palmists always say different things when they read my hands, and ususally say all the lines are different meanings, meaning the palmists all see things differently? but more importantly, no palmist has ever pointed out my simian lines. haaha oh well. horay

@nicknguyie I think some groups of people have them more often than others. And there is a possibility they happen more frequently in people with AB blood groups. That might just be a coincidence though!

/I'm from Latvia (if aybody knows where it is :D) - it's quiet north but you see - I do have it though I have never met anybody else who has this thing here/

For information - I found out that there is a big difference if the simian line is on the major or minor or both hands.

Yes, I have read it makes a difference which hand it is on. Not met anyone with both hands, but it's not unheard of. Maybe you know people with it but you haven't really looked at their hands!

I have asked my friends and family but none of them had it :( So for a very long time I thought that maybe it is a bad thing, though maybe it's just that I live in a too small country :D I calculated that in Latvia there could be maximum 22633 people with a simian line and if we count off people who have Down's syndrom, it isn't a big surprise I haven't met anybody like that yet. :)

Hello Elise! I have them in both my hands. When I was younger I thought it was unusual, and a sign that perhaps I wasn't going to get married. I thought that because I knew a lot of priests who had hands like that. But then my dad had one in his hand, and I eventually got married so so much for that "not going to get married" notion.

Well, I am kind of strange and unusual myself. So maybe that's that.

Difficult to know without seeing it - but if there is a crease all the way along when you bend your hand (rather than two lines coming from opposite directions in your palm but not meeting) then it probably is a simian line. I only have one on my left hand - the right is two lines.

How interesting / cool - I always assumed that Eskimo's and North American Indians had large doses of Asian blood in them... but they don't share the simian line!

Well there are several thousand years of evolution separating them after migration. I don't know the incidences of them in the south American and more southerly north American native populations - but the fact there are apparently Native American legends suggest they are more common the further down the continent you go. Maybe colder climates change the likelihood!

I looked at the facebook photo link. My quasi Semian Line is straighter than yours. Yours takes that swoop upwards towards the index finger, whiles mine has the little shark's fin in the middle but then goes pretty straight

I wasn't aware of simian lines before, but it's interesting that so many creative people have them.

I'm not sure what Tony Blair's simian lines say about him. Perhaps that he views things in purely black and white terms (no shades of grey) which is why he got on so well with George Bush who was often portrayed as a monkey!
