I love MacDill and the Airfest went in the 90's and 2008-2011. Love it, always a good time. Though in 91, I didn't go because I was a newborn. But seeing this video of it is awesome lol.

Great memories! I was there from 89-92 in 56 TRANS/LGTO in the Vehicle Operations flight. We were a 24 hour unit with three shifts. It's funny-working so close to the flight line and around the jets every day, I didn't want to go to the Airshow when it came to town. It was a fun experience that I'll never forget. Thanks for posting it.

Liked your vid..I love the airshow vids. Suggestion though, buy a tripod. They are only a few bucks and your videos will turn out 100% better.

Holy crap, I was there! 56th AGS LSC F-16 Weapons Load Toad. I was there for Schwartzkopf's knighting also. I still remember the B-1 taking off after the airshow was done...car alarms over a mile away from the base were going off!

The only military airshow that was bigger than Airfest was Aviation Nation in Vegas. The Airfest was always awesome!

The Blue Angels are a fine team as well :) Considering the F-16 has a service life expected to reach 2030 and beyiond with the newer models I havent really thought about its replacement with the T-Birds. The newest Block F-16I built for Israel will probably be flying in 2050 LOL when I'm 80.

It has been too long. I had to leave when they closed the 56th in 1993. I miss Guavaween and all the fun at the Yucatan Liquor Stand and The Green Iguana. Is the Green Iguana still there?

Ah Yes Gasparilla oh the memories. Indeed I was an F-16 Crew Chief I was in the 63rd FS Panthers as well as the 62nd and 61st during the move to Luke AFB in 1993.I also did a stint at Transient Alert right before I went to Hill AFB Utah. Tsgt Scott Willims?? I knew a few Sgt Williams' there.

I dont think I remember a female Sgt Williams but it was 13 years ago LOL. I was in AGS and MacDill was a big base back then. Are they talking about Airfest 2007? I would love to visit agian.
