I think it's the same with Ollie - I always thought of him as the sexual Bottom but having the Dominant personality.

You guys are being way too literal. The traditions is "Taking The Bride". It's just words. It doesn't make Olli a girl or THE BRIDE. Christian comes across as the alpha male in the relationship he is more masculine and more in control. Oliver is the more emotional guy in the relationship more sensitive about his feelings.
Not sure I'm happy with the stereotyping here, guys! I've always loved the fact that the writers have created complex characters who are both strong, but also have softer sides to them. When it's ice cream night at the flat share, they don't mess around! That was an industrial sized vat of ice cream. Pizza, ice cream and beer are good for now but it won't be long before Helena starts missing her private suite and gourmet meals back at the castle. Okay I've been rading the posts and there is been a lot about sterotypes and such and all I have to say is who cares? Ollie is Ollie and Christian is Christian and they are getting married and I'm over the moon! At least one of them isn't being killed off casuse the writers are cowards who don't want to write love scenes for a gay couple like on a certain american soap that I will not name beacuae I am so mad at them I could spit! Chroli is getting a wedding and that's all I care about!

Jus went n watched LySeb and GreLu weddings Both times these 2 Dragged the groom away from their fiance so dis time it was their turn. OLLI isn't the bride Period .N I can kind of understand y Olli would b goin off with d girls. He is good friends with both Lydia and Rebecca. Top and Bottom do NOT equal Boy and Girl. Seriously folks that is so offensive. There is NO "girl" in a relationship between two men (no matter what they do in bed). There is NO "man" in a relationship between two women. Olli and Christian are not anime boys love characters. They are meant to reflect real life gay men and real life gay men are A LOT more complicated than "top" and "bottom". What people do when they are having sex has NOTHING to do with their personality type. End of!

@PlatypusRising55 Top and Bottom sexually may not always be the same as Boy and Girl, but research has shown that there are Dominant and Submissive partners in gay couples just as there are in straight ones - and even in straight couples the Dominant partner may be the Girl - I know that's how it was with my parents - my Mother had the Dominant personality and ran the ship. I think it's the same with Ollie - I always thought of him as the sexual Bottom but having the Dominant personality.

@Arkkior That is exactly what I said. It's not an opinion, it is a fact. Two men together in a relationship has nothing to do with a "man" and a "woman". They are two men. There is no girl in a gay relationship. People using "who is the girl" is offensive to me as a lesbian and a gay person. It's just stupid to say "who is the girl" when referring to a gay male couple. That was my whole point? Is there a particular reason you're directing this comment to me?

You guys are being way too literal. The traditions is "Taking The Bride". It's just words. It doesn't make Olli a girl or THE BRIDE. The girls know he's not a bride, thy are just having fun with the tradition. Olli was completely happy to be with people he loves (remember Lydia who was the one to help Olli realize he needed to get his but to the gym for the big boxing match?) These girls are his family like sisters who love him. Olli and Christian are BOTH MEN.

Dearest friends, take it easy! There is no stereotype. We all know Christian and Olli and we know who they are. The girls just used the same sentence it is used to fiancees, the day before their wedding. If you come back to Gregor and Luise's wedding' eve and Lydia and Sebastian's too, they said the same. Any doubt just go back to those episodes. Our boys just love each other and this is what matters.

I hate stereotyping but I don't think you should take this 'Olli the the bride' thing so seriously. VL has always treated both Christian and Olli as equals in their relationship and it's clear that they don't have any 'roles'. They have never implied that either one of them are always dominant or anything like that.
I think this 'taking the bride' was meant to be a joke. IMO the girls just happened to pick Olli, not Christian for some reason. But this is just my view on things.

yeah even i think so. May be the girls wanted to take olli as it's sometimes is clearly visible that olli can be a little more synchronized with the girls than chrissie is. That may be due to some common tastes such as shopping, latest fashion trends etc. is, so they simply preferred olli over chrissie. That bride thing was just meant to be a joke.!!!

Christian comes across as the alpha male in the relationship he is more masculine and more in control. Oliver is the more emotional guy in the relationship more sensitive about his feelings.

Not sure I'm happy with the stereotyping here, guys! I've always loved the fact that the writers have created complex characters who are both strong, but also have softer sides to them. I've never seen either of them as 'the bride' and, whilst I enjoyed all the laughter and fun in this ep, I'm a bit disappointed that a distinction has been made!!

The funniest part was when the girls run in and drag Olli away to the castle. Just look at the way Olli run... l've known at the the beginning of Chrolli relationship that Olli is portraited as bottom and Christian is top. So Olli being named the 'bride' is no surprise to me.
But doesn't matter for this issue, what matter is they are & will always be together.

Ollie is the "girl", come-on, people. Stereotypes betray us, but in this story, it's kinda obvious, no? A boxer weds a party-planner. But they're both MEN, don't get me wrong. They've both got balls.
Andi is the best (and should've been the first) best-man. He's been a trouper throughout this drama.

Anyway I am getting access to videos of the wedding of the year! Yesterday I spent all day working and the night had a party I could not let go, but my thoughts did not come out of these two that I love so much. Olli wedding is very funny. I love these two!

That's how you get pizzas in Europe. One for each person generally. They're actually about the size of a dinner plate, and they are thin crust, so it's not as many calories as you think.

When it's ice cream night at the flat share, they don't mess around! That was an industrial sized vat of ice cream. Pizza, ice cream and beer are good for now but it won't be long before Helena starts missing her private suite and gourmet meals back at the castle. Good thing Olli likes the royal/nobility stuff b/c having to spend the night before your wedding with the von Lahnstein women would send me screaming down the street.
