I have Norton because my cable company provides it for me, free of charge. Would anyone recommend downloading Comodo?? Which is better?? Someone told me I should start using this instead of Norton. Any advice? Also, is this The Best anti-virus?? I honestly want the best thing available out there, even if it costs be a few bucks.

My only complaint is that when Comodo updates it's files, it always turns the scheduled scan back on. I find this very frustrating because (after having removed all scheduled scans) it will turn itself on again and interrupt my 18-hour renders, causing me to have to restart the process all over again.

I'm not going to sign up for the forum just to leave a single feedback comment, but if someone who has signed up would mention this, I'd appreciate it.

version 4 has been working great for me, but the only thing i dont like about the new CIS 4 is when you have pending file, you have to go through the defense tab and go through the options, instead of the older interface which allows you to go straight to the pending files immediately.

I don't want to sound ungreatful but this is a really frustrating video to watch.  You really should have done your homework with the malware rather than attempting to load pages that won't load to begin with. The whole video should only be 15 minutes long. this basic version of comodo internet security is good for cybercafes or gaming cafes. I have came across so many cafes with no av protections and still uses the basic windows firewall.. this, avg or avast?, i'd say comodo 4 is better than any of those 2. cons are its not noob-friendly, update errors. comodo 3 was the crapiest yet but 4 is good, or at satisfactory. they finally did something about the updater.. finally. a better combo would be, comodo firewall + avast antivirus for home users.

Comodo's anti-virus has DRASTICALLY improved. It used to be where Comodo relied almost completely on its defense+. Now it also has a sandbox, and an amazing heuristics engine to take the pressure off the defense+. This also drastically reduces the number of popups and confusion from the user.

how do they make money ? it must not be cheap to produce and maintain a pretty decent security suite? is there features that are limited ? and is there a paid version etc... its just the old saying " theres no such thing as a free lunch" that makes me think twicw about anything that is advertised as FREE...

another reason they mention is that they make SSL certificates for webstores. the way they say the look at it, is if more people feel secure on their computer and the net, the more people will use webstores, which means more webstores will get ssl certificates from comodo

I was hoping to see a more stream lined smooth security suite that installed fast and was a little bit less annoying then previous versions. Whats the CPU drain on system. Little difficult to get a true test using VMware which will run slower then your regular system. Sorry had to laugh when you tried to register your copy of 7 and it didn't take. I had this same issue with my windows 7. You can only register once on 1 computer and 1 OS.

Summary: Panda hasn't got measureably better in 5 years. Spyware Doctor w/AntiVirus 2010 has been a BIG disappointment in testing conducted by evryone on Youtube. Avast 5.0 is Very Good, but could be better. Comodo IS is SHOCKINGLY good compared to previous versions. AVG Free should be Scared of Comodo. AVG Free isn't worth downloading. Spybot S&D 2.0 is taking FAR too long to be finalized.  Avira 9 is it's usual Great self. Drive Sentry is run by WEIRDOS!!

@Idolpurist Actually, Microsoft Security Essentials got rated Advanced+, and turned out to be just as good or better than the high-end expensive AV's on the market. Combine it with the Comodo Firewall and Defence+, and you've got a neat and free system protection.

Lots of complaints/bugs on the Comodo forums. Might want to keep using 3.14 until 4.1 is released. If you want a sandbox there are programs like Sandboxie that'll handle that.

Nice improvements on the AV though. And the firewall is the same as always which is great. They really just gotta iron out the sandbox/defense+ deal.
