This could be funny had the focus not been on the woman's size and the implication that it was necessary for the friend to break the bed in order to sleep with her (i.e. any woman of her size is going to result in a broken bed during sex). Cleary she was strange (hence the ultimate 'oh'), without having to focus on her size and use it to make claims about all women of similar size and what's necessary to "make it work" without "breaking" one's "back."
I have been on the mailing list for years, but as a woman who would probably be classified as "double-x f" I am very sorry that I followed last night's link to hear a "ridiculous" story with a "strange" woman. It's one thing to make jokes about and poke fun at stereotypes; it's something else to foster and perpetuate them as humor.
I'm never out to offend anyone. But every joke has a victim. I'm sorry if you took her appearance as a reflection of your own, but that was not the prupose or point of the story.
If you find it funny when I make fun of any other person or group of people, then it is hypocritical to get offended just because the subject matter is something you're sensitive about.
I am sorry I offended you, that is not the purpose. But I'm not sorry I told the story.
this bed is too small, this bed is too big, this bet is just right... oh crap, shoulda used the big bed

The ultimate "oh" is why it looked like a crime scene. Turns out it was that time of the month for her.
