Ken is Canadian and 1 Freddy Vs. Jason was made in the Greater Vancouver Area even the house they had for Elm was on location and they used Riverview for Westin Hills in that film so really Ken is better and hes taller too
Hodder only relied on breathing heavily and walking in directions.Pretty much out of the 4 that he was in New Blood was his best.Kirzinger did well and I wouldve liked to see him play Jason alot more times but the remake came along and screwed everything up so Hodder will not be coming back to ruin the franchise again.

I think that its box office record is due to fans thinking that the franchise was being milked to death (what with The Final Friday being about as disappointing as The Final Nightmare and all, and Jason Takes Manhattan being superfluous albeit well-executed). However, I find it to be a better revival film than Wes Craven's New Nightmare (the latter being perhaps TOO original).

well I like Kane's better but i still like em both, neither Kane of Ken hate each other, I saw them at Jasonpalooza and they were all hanging around like friends. Ronny Yu(director of FvJ) is the guy who wanted Jason to act slow and strike fast with his kills. Kane brings a bit more to the table because he has something to say whenever he doesnt like something in the script. Kane thought of the whole stair case fallin scene in part 7. But both are very nice in person.

Really it was the casting director's fault and the writer's fault for any things not Ken's. They didn't let him do his own stunts, made him afraid of water and have this weird walk. That's their fault not Ken's. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love Kane's work. I'm just willing to give other actors a chance. If Ted White had taken the offer to do 5 and 6 after 4 he would still have credit. Kane's the best but I think there's been some talent in all the Jason's somewhere.
Kane is Jason, and even though I hated 9-10 (only two I don't own) He did well. He's certainly an intimidating guy whether in the mask or not. I did like Ken's portrayal in FvsJ and it really wasn't his fault Kane wasn't hired. I think everyone would want to play him. Still seeing as Ken was thrown in that bar in New York in part 8 by Kane you know Kane is Jason. Not as hard to play as Freddy, but Kane is a really talented guy. All things considered Ken did well despite any flaws in the script.

I love Kane's Jason as much as the next guy. He IS Jason Voorhees. That said, I won't belittle Ken's performance as Jason because I think he did a great job. He took on a very difficult role because the character has such a large fan base and such high expectations, yet he was supposed to be the more sympathetic character. In reality, he already is more sympathetic, he just kills you instead of scaring the hell out of you and torturing you first.
In Freddy vs Jason the directors wanted a more sympathetic looking Jason with puppy dog eyes and stuff. Kane Hodder gave Jason a personality. since he could not show facial expressions he showed his rage through body language. Kane Hodder and Ken's performances were very different. ken movements were way to slow and lack spirit. Kane Hodder makes a badass Jason. he gives Jason a vengeful soul. Kane Hodder is Jason. I wounder how the 2009 Friday the 13th will be.
Ummm.....he didn't do all the stunts in his films. He didn't do the scene Jason get hit by a car & electrocution by the subway rail track, both in Jason Takes Manhattan.

Jason wins only when Ken is playing as Jason xD. Anyway i think Ken Krizinger is better than kane, but they both just trying to imitate what Richard Brooker did with Jason's Personality ;].

Really it was the casting director's fault and the writer's fault for any things not Ken's. They didn't let him do his own stunts, made him afraid of water and have this weird walk. That's their fault not Ken's. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love Kane's work. I'm just willing to give other actors a chance. If Ted White had taken the offer to do 5 and 6 after 4 he would still have credit. Kane's the best but I think there's been some talent in all the Jason's somewhere.

Kane is Jason, and even though I hated 9-10 (only two I don't own) He did well. He's certainly an intimidating guy whether in the mask or not. I did like Ken's portrayal in FvsJ and it really wasn't his fault Kane wasn't hired. I think everyone would want to play him. Still seeing as Ken was thrown in that bar in New York in part 8 by Kane you know Kane is Jason. Not as hard to play as Freddy, but Kane is a really talented guy. All things considered Ken did well despite any flaws in the script.

lmao... Ken's kind of a badass in real life. He has this scowling way about him. He said that at a convention. He has kind of a temper anyway, and he'd just channel that into Jason for the day, then go home calm. :-)
Ken took Jason in a different direction than Kane... but I like it. I think he was just as good, in a different way.

I think Ken was very zombie-like and his skin is also extra grey and dead so he did that very well, I liked his slashings and attacks too. The part after he just got burned was great, he really killed those teens well.

I love Kane's Jason as much as the next guy. He IS Jason Voorhees. That said, I won't belittle Ken's performance as Jason because I think he did a great job. He took on a very difficult role because the character has such a large fan base and such high expectations, yet he was supposed to be the more sympathetic character. In reality, he already is more sympathetic, he just kills you instead of scaring the hell out of you and torturing you first.

In Freddy vs Jason the directors wanted a more sympathetic looking Jason with puppy dog eyes and stuff. Kane Hodder gave Jason a personality. since he could not show facial expressions he showed his rage through body language. Kane Hodder and Ken's performances were very different. ken movements were way to slow and lack spirit. Kane Hodder makes a badass Jason. he gives Jason a vengeful soul. Kane Hodder is Jason. I wounder how the 2009 Friday the 13th will be.

Ummm.....he didn't do all the stunts in his films. He didn't do the scene Jason get hit by a car & electrocution by the subway rail track, both in Jason Takes Manhattan.

Yeah, but he gets ignited on fire for 40 seconds, he crashes through a window WHILE crouching at the same time, and holds his breath underwater for an uncanny time, in part 7, so you get the idea.

Kane Hodder has to be considered the best Jason because he played him longer than all the other actors. Plus, believe he did most of his stunts. All the other actors (with the exception of Kirzinger) had to use like one or two stuntmen.

I also found something similar about Ken opposite Kane's funny story,of him in full Jason attire meeting a man in the woods,haha.
Ken had to undergo some dental work during the filming of Freddy vs. Jason (2003),
but it would have taken too much time to remove his makeup and costume and re-apply them.
When he arrived at the dentist's office still fully dressed as Jason ( but without the hockey mask),
people were afraid he was an escaped psychopath and almost called the police.
