Ok guys you dont have to down load nothing to fix your audio device trust me on this one real simple. go to control panel and click audio and devices. then go to sounds and you should see sound scheme click on the arrow on the right side and click windows defualt and dont save the last one u was on then press apply and bam u got ur device back.

This doesn't help at all, driver detective is Scareware designed to make out your machine has errors to get you to buy their product. Plus it probably installs the wrong drivers or out-of date drivers which could corrupt your pc.
