When I was a christian (I was raised as one) I was burdeononed with always thinking about all the children and babies who suffered needlessly on a daily basis all over the world. Rape, torture, murdered, living in fear in war torn countries, being harmed by their own parents and so on..So I sincerely asked god to stop all their suffering before even one more innocent suffered, I even asked god to kill me in any fashion he saw fit if a trade off was what he would desire.Children still suffer,why?

I thought the scripture meant as a motivational tool, but not literal sense, however I see where you are going with this excercise. We had all our requests answered and granted as simple as asking, and then we would be living in s a total utopia society. no need of law, government or povety. This is where the contradiction is, faith or religion are meant to bring about peace and equality, but in reality causes wars, genocide and hate in the process. Mind fuck isn't it?
