  • i wonder who would win in a shoot out. Shane or Doc Holliday?

  • What a fucking badass.

  • Cover you're ears darling

  • Val Kilmers best role he ever played, except maybe The Doors or Heat. Of course, he didn't get crap for recognition for it. Truly a shame.

  • tombstones not the guys name its wyatt earp

  • The way he's just staring at him with his guns pointing at him, waiting for him to make a move is fucking classic.

  • Iphone lol funny

  • he's a daisy allright, the fastest daisy around , brilliant !

  • The sound is the roulette ball dropping in the background.

  • "Covah yo' ears darlin'."

  • @ 2:26 she nudges one gun toward him quickly followed by the same nudging of his cell phone

  • @myavo Doc Holliday had a silver iPhone in 1881? Lmao.

  • @RussellClank its a cigarette case

  • @danielkimble1972 Actually it was a whiskey flask. Lol.

  • well it's a daisy if it is.

  • Great scene.

One thing to notice is that when Doc puts the guns down on the table, you quickly see a Washington silver quarter. The time period here is sometime during the 1870's, Washington quarters were not minted until 1932.

  • @JP5466 where do u see that? i dont see a washington quarter..the coins are not so clear to determine

  • @uzavas Freeze it around 1:54 and look at the hammer of the gun on the left side of the picture, underneath the pocket watch. That is clearly the reverse side of a silver Washington quarter... ooops!

  • @JP5466 Different symbol than a quarter, thicker and no ridges on the edging, but nice try

  • @danielkimble1972 Nice try -lol Well how about you tell me what it is? What fractional silver coin at that time had no ridges on the edge? Whatever it is, it's not legal tender of that time period.

  • @JP5466 are you serious about calling out props in movies. Do you think they had a budget big enough to encompass purchasing the proper tender for every single scene? Get a life and stop posting from your mom's basement!

  • @LastOfTheBreed78 How chivalrous of you to defend the Tombstone props department -lol And how did you know I was posting from my moms basement?... you must be clairvoyant son.

  • ed got his nuts cut off . lol

  • I'd have killed him just for being Frank Stallone.

  • doc holiday makes me wanna smoke cigerettes and be a badass

  • Women like that are a gem.

  • thank you for uploading this video, never seen this movie, good westerns are hard to find if u dont wanna watch movies from 60's or something.. :) this seems interesting one, downloading it now! ;D

  • 5 people aren't friends anymore

  • "ill burn u down"?! thats the best she could come up with?!

  • great actor that val kilmer is. He did an awesome job in the doors movie and in heat too. =)

  • isnt that a daisy

  • no matter what situation doc always has some smarta** remark. i love it

  • "I'm your Huckleberry."

  • Love that man. So much.

  • 2:04 I have that knife! :O

  • pretty funny how he just takes the roulette dealer's money like it's no big deal.

  • man i was trying to do that thing with the coin in my hand yesterday. freaking hard as hell. i'm gonna keep practicing.

  • LOL He takes the money off the Roulette table too!

  • what an ugly thing to say haha

  • back when men were men

  • @hisoj these characters were still just the outlaws. most were normal working folks like me and (probably) you. i know what you mean though, life was simpler and tougher on everybody. it's lost now on cell phones and the internet we're on.

  • 2:04 is that a damascus blade?

  • horses at 1:26?

  • @wwparks08 unicorns

  • Hey, Yall. Check out The Long Riders.

  • One of the best introductions in a movie EVER! I first saw this movie three weeks ago, and all I could think to myself was, "damn, why haven't I seen this earlier?" Great Western; they really need to play it more on TV. In all my life, I have never once seen this movie in TV listings. What the hell is up with that?

  • @TheUnseenMovieLover It play on AMC like once a week, thats where I first saw it

  • @thevinceberry I live in the UK, but I'm planning to move to the U.S. once I'm finished at Uni. Guess I've got AMC to look forward to :-)

  • @TheUnseenMovieLover thats cool...amc is not a popular channel but it play all the great old modern movies like tombstone, rambo, terminator, open range, etc mostly on weekend

  • In my opinion, Doc Holiday was Val Kilmer's greatest acting accomplishment.

  • you know ed if i thought you wern't my friend..... i don't think i could bare it

  • whats the noise in the background at 1:26?

  • @sindrake7 it's the ball on the roulette table.

  • @sindrake7

    Sounds like a horse.

  • @WayneDangerous I CONCUR, MOTION CARRIED

  • @sindrake7 the roulette wheel, and then a horse.

  • @sindrake7 It's a roulette table ball and a horse breying.

  • that part COmmmmeeeeeonneee

  • Why Ed Bailey.........are we cross?

  • why ed, are we cross ?

then look at dennis quaid's inept attempt to portray the 'lunger' doc holiday. laughable in comparison to val kilmer's version.

dennis quaid thinks acting is a deep frown and a deep voice. how he stays in the business I will never know. perhaps he should have a spelling contest.

  • Why, Ed! What an ugly thing to say!

  • VAL KILMER IS THE DEVIL!

  • @Rocky1990 Why, Ed! what an ugly thing to say. XD

  • A great scene in a movie full of them.

  • @CountryBoyRoby

    How rude.

  • "how lude"

  • @DoTheAstralPlane It's 'how lewd'. Just for the record.

  • Why Ike , whateve do ya mean!?

  • frank stallone!

Val Kilmer was the spine in this movie. Still one of the best westerns made imo.

  • How he did not win an Oscar is beyond me

  • "my sweet, soft hungarian devil." love that shit...

  • That's all Doc wants :), friends. Not many of us have them. Friends.

  • Doc Holiday winked at a girl once... 9 months later Chuck Norris was born.

  • @IronManCombat

    Very Nice!

  • @IronManCombat

Don't drag Doc down into the shit abyss that is Chuck Norris internet jokes. That just ruined my mood.

  • "Why Ed Bailey....are we cross?"

"You know Ed, if I thought you weren't my friend....I just don't think I could bear it."

    Val Kilmer made this movie.

  • This is by far Val Kilmer's greatest role. So smooth...and bad-ass!

  • if this movie were made in 2000s, a nomination would've been in order

  • Joanna Pacula was so sizzlingly hot in this role. Doc's sexy side kick!

  • 1thru99,com

  • I always thought Doc had said "If we WERE friends", not "weren't". Because that's such a perfect line to say to someone else's indignation.

Also interesting is how he chooses to kill him without a gun after being told without them he's just a skinny lunger.

  • @highwind8124 If I had to guess I'd say that Doc killed him without his guns because Ed said that without his guns he wasn't anything but a skinny lunger....ya know, to prove him wrong.

  • @blkncrimsontears if u watch it...he doesnt kill him lol just stabs him

  • Comment removed

  • @highwind8124

i always thought the same. and i agree too =)

  • a peach of a hand

  • "Ed, what an ugly thing to say."

  • @ AndrewCWillis...i totally agree

  • sufuckinperb !!!!!

  • probably should re-post this with the audio synched.

  • @Neweddy24 the audio is perfect on my pc

  • I have seen Tombstone and Wyatt Earp, and I can say that Val plays Doc so much better...Quaid didnt even try to do a consist accent or persona, Val does Doc awesome, gives him even historical value, as I have done research on all the characters, though some scenes in both movies are false(woohoo, it happens)PROPS TO VAL!!!

  • this guy is sexy! i love val kilmer! he has sexy as hell eyes!

  • the chairs in this scene are the same ones we have in our home lol

  • Maybe poker's just not your game Ike. I know, let's have a spelling contest. LOL

  • Poor girl's going to get tuberculosis from him.

  • @ArthurSavillesCrime

She was infected, no doubt, but 90% of such infections are latent. She just didn't have any symptoms.

  • I Loved the last line lol....lets not bother about the luggage lol

  • frank stallone got owned

  • the guy he stabbed still had his gun in his hostler when Doc turned his back to him. Why didn't he draw? Tho i love his last line.

"Well..." :pockets three stacks of bills: ".good evening then."

  • because he didnt have the life left in him. that first stab is in the kidney.

  • @oldlonesomesong kidney? i think you mean liver where he stabbed him is nowhere near the kidneys

  • "my sweet soft hungarian devil" one of the coolest lines!

  • "Why Ed Bailey, you look like you're just about ready to burst" He says it so effeminately but that just belies Doc's true manly ruthlessness.

  • There... now we can be friends again.

  • So that's how the west was won. It was stolen.

  • Comment removed

  • It's "lewd" meaning licentious/indecent/obscene. Don't advertise that you're ignorant as hell.

  • This was filmed in what they call Old Tucson. Looks a lot like Tombstone, but not quite. Trust me, I know.

  • LOL I love Tombstone!

  • my sweet soft hungarian devil

  • Yeah he charged them a little more for the "pain and suffering" they caused him.

  • Did Doc just rob the house?

  • "Wyyyy Ed Bailey,.....We Cross?" hahha lol

  • "isn't that a daisy"...epic

  • Haha. Doc Holiday is a real character isn't he? My favorite character of any movie.

  • man wouldnt it be a trip living in the 1800s, only thing that mattered back then was how fast you were. You were the law, lol prolly ruff as fuck

  • wasn't quite as sauve as in this movie, and yes he was a cold blooded killer(as in this movie) but he was atypical of the characteristics of men of his kind of the time. he was a doctor, adept pianist and was known for his dry caustic wit. yes, like all movies, they painted him in a more attractive light, but kilmer portrays the key elements holliday's personality accurately..despite the fact they took the edge off a little.

  • Interesting. Maybe he changed when he got sick though

  • You get carried away here. There is no proof John 'Doc' Holliday was a "cold blooded killer" of anyone.

  • No proof stalin was either...

  • @ArthurSavillesCrime You are not very well educated. See "Holodomor."

  • @shortist2003 legal proof. Also proof that he issued the orders himself and not one of his subordinates. I´ĺl thank you for not casting ignorant aspersions on my education.

  • What the hell ever happened to Val Kilmer??????? He vanished from the movies.

  • I know... He is my favorite actor and he just dont take big movie parts. He did Felon last year, but we wanna see more!!

  • nice slowroll holiday ;)

  • lol i love his sarcasm

  • Did Ed Baily play the same guy, later in the movie?

The rude Faro dealer in the Oriental? I think they look alike.

  • Comment removed

  • No Blackfrostfire. Johnny Tyler, the dealer in the Oriental that Wyatt slaps around is played by Billy Bob Thornton.

  • no this one is played by frank stallon the other by billy bob thourton

  • "COVER YOUR EARS DARLIN'."

Money line. Man's bout trigger play.

  • good catch, didn't notice that

  • like Ledgers "Joker" i dont think anyone will be able to pull off such an awesome Doc Holiday....atta boy Val

  • nonsense my friend i've done my own research. funny that allt the earp ladies found him to be nothing but a gentleman. yes, he

  • you're right but you're also wrong. Doc Holliday was a killer, but he was also an educated man. and he wasn't a "stone cold killer" he was mostly a gambler.

  • Then your paper should have failed.

Where were you educated? The Wild West For Dummies?

  • @angustus5

Characters that won't be played more brillanty in any film include

    Doc Holliday- Val Kilmer

    The Joker- Heath ledger

    Patrick Bateman-Christain Bale

Out of all these Ledgers is the worst and that is saying something towards Bale and Kilmer.

  • @angustus5 I completely agree, man. Those two performances hit me so hard. The only difference is that Heith got recognition for his brilliance, even if it was after his death.

This is one of the most brilliant performances I have ever seen, i.m.o. On the same level as The Joker.

  • @angustus5 amen to that, truer words have never been spoken

  • 'why ed baily you look like you bout ready to burst.' god i love val kilmer in this movie

  • Hehe.

"Does that mean were not friends anymore?"

    I love that. xD

  • Must be a...peach of a hand...

    :]

  • i dnt think it was possible to have so many good lines in one scene!

  • I agree....what a scene!!!!

  • this is a woman you can spend your live with, i think.....

  • Isn't that a daisy?

  • Great line!!!!

  • Val Kilmer made this movie

  • @bekkisue46 he directed it?...jk

  • @bekkisue46 I second the motion!

  • What I never understood was when Doc's girl, (forgot her name, if it was ever give...), turned away and put everything in the bag, including the gun, why didn't the bar tender pull out his gun then? I didn't see her take it

  • Comment removed

  • Val Kilmer makes movies great. Heat Tombstone The Doors Etc.

  • don't forget salton sea & kiss kiss bang bang. it's sad that he's been low profile lately.

  • how in the world did they make a movie "wyatt earp" but not a "doc holiday" one huh? with val kilmer in it it would have beent he best movie ever!

  • emmmmm no bussel ayeeeee...that surely means shes gerin it up tut arse tonight then !!

  • lmfao !

  • Ah... that last swipe is so fuckin' smooth...

  • Kate you're not wearing a bussel

    HOW LEWD

  • And they didn't nominate him for an oscar, can you believe this ?

  • "Well...good evening, then."

    Love Doc, man. Awesome movie.

  • I remember Kilmer doing that thing w/ the "coins on his fingers" back on Real Genius

  • Realmente é um classco Val Kilmer está soberbo nesta cena.

  • DOC kicks butt!!

    Love that movie, BRAVO!!

    F

  • early scene _ really establishes Doc as the dark character he is realised to be later in the film.

  • Don't know which is better, that scene or the showdown at the end. Either way, they couldn't have named it "Doc Holliday and Some Other Lesser Human Beings Had This Shootout" But that's what it ends up being.

  • why ed bailey, are we cross?

  • "must be a peach of a hand"

    classic.

  • great scene
