the kind of radiation you get from microwaves are non-ionising microwaves...

Arn't cockroaches soposed to be resistant to a nuclear explosion, not microwaves because micro maves acts on the amount of moisture on the object, totally different thing. The reason they could survive their head cut off because they have enough water to fuel them for a few days. Micro waves just totally expose their weakness causeing people to believe coackroaches are not resistant. Also who the hell would kill cockroaches in microwaves. Much more work to clean up the mess.

Heat is radiation. Roaches will burn just like almost anything else, so when the microwaves excite the water molecules in the roach, its softer internal parts basicly cook. Roaches wont survive a nuclear blast but the chances of roaches being deep enough in the ground to avoid being hit are very good, so once it is safe enough for humans to return to the area, you might find the roaches have beaten you there....... giving the impression that they survived the whole thing.

Are you comparing a microwave oven to a nuclear blast? The radiation that a microwave gives off is only enough to excite water molecules, they dont give off gamma rays or cause beta burn Einstein. Cockroaches aren't "harmless"..they carry this thing called DISEASE. They have been known to secrete a substance that irritates the skin, as well as a reputation to carry salmonella.
