  • @Socoolscienceshow idk sumthing is der anyother way to light a bulb widout plugging it in so i can compare the resul wid sum other way

  • @rafidiscool I dont understand why your teacher is being sucha D-bag but I cant think of any other way to light an engery saving light bulb without using electrcity.

  • @Socoolscienceshow your welcome! :)))

  • LOL love these; its so funny

  • @Angelicaliciousful thank im glad you enjoy these sci files :D

  • I did this with my niece, I'm trying to get her interested in science. You can use plastic wrap as well, just rub it vigorously on the long tubes.

  • @FortinBrown thats very good to know you want to get your niece into science. im very happy to hear that, keep showing her amazing tricks like this and she will most definetly get interested in science :D

  • Flourescent Lights were invented by a Filipino... ^^

  • @1Loud several people have claimed to have invented the flourescent bulb but we still dont have any documentation as to who the real inventor was. Its possible that many people added to the invention and there for we wouldnt have an exact person rather a group of people who invented the flourescent bulb.

  • @Socoolscienceshow oh... really? I thought it was invented by a Filipino named Agapito Flores and I thought the name Fluorescent was from his surname Flores. This is what my teacher taught me before. Now I know. I even look at Wikipedia and his name wasn't even mentioned. Cool thanks man.

  • @1Loud Learning Is Cool :D

  • O_O must save energy *sets light bulbs everywhere *getts 100 balloons* *rubs 100 ballons for 2 days each* *puts balloons everywhere* MWAHAHAHAHA ENERGY! *touches metal AAAAAAA SHOCKIN LIGHTNING BOLT

  • you must be soo tired after making your vids

  • @asger123456789 Yes I am Haha :D I start out with lots of energy but by the time were done filming im pretty much drained of all my energy. The editing isnt so bad its just long hours sitting infront of a computer that can get kinda boring after you've done this for hundred plus vidoes :D

  • Are you KyleMonkeys brother by any chance?

  • @KillerKamster I have no clue who that is, no were not related in any way :D

  • Interesting, I didn't know static electricity can make a florescent light bulb light up. I knew you could do that with plasma balls.

  • @dylanfleck now you know :D go give a try but make sure you do it in the dark cause you wont be able to see it in a lit room :)

  • Is this an example of Static or Current Electricity???

  • @puffygirl223 Its kind of a combo of both, the static charges pulls atoms towards oppistie charges but the motion of the balloon moves electrons which is electricity.

  • You can also hold a florescent light bulb 2-3 feet away from a plasma ball and you get that same effect.

  • @dylanfleck Yes thats true, I've done that couple of times at parties for people to break the ice. How-ever I didnt do it here in this sci file becuz not everyone has a plasma ball and most people wouldnt want to buy a plasma ball just for that reason. But it is really niffty and if your friend is having a party and has one of them plasma balls gather people around and do it for people. Its gets good reactions and breaks the ice :D

  • Uhm, i have a few questions about this. I hope someone could answer it. Do you really have to rub the balloon ? like on your hair ? And can the light bulb light and last for a minute or so ? Well, i'm just thinking that this could be a great project for my school Science Fair ... Thanks, -Curious Science kidd .

  • @BabiihPhat13 You dont have to rub the balloon on your hair but you do have to charge the balloon with negative electrons. If you dot want to rub the balloon on your hair get a whool or flease sweater and rub the balloon on that. As long as the balloon is charged and you keep moving the balloon backand forth near the bulb the bulb will flicker on and off. If you want the light to last longer get a flouresent tube and a bring the charged balloon next to the tube and it will glow near the balloon.

  • @Socoolscienceshow : ohkay , cool ! Thanks :)

  • You have some great talent!

  • @Mayesky588 Thank you very much :)

  • This show is great!

  • @97273998 Well thanks very much its always a pleasure to find other people who enjoy comedy & science, but mostly comedy lol

  • nice video :)

  • @TheVampireGodess well thank you very much :) Im glad you enjoied it!

  • @Louie25k Your continued support is really awsome. Truly it really is awsome people like you that really got me to the partnership stage on youtube. Im really glad you enjoied this video series.

Now you know how it works in detail =^D

  • woah!

    ever seen a telsa coil?

  • @nutcheck3 Sure have, They are pretty nifty lightning gadgets. Theres a nifty experiment where some people where lighting a whole bunch of fluorescent tubes with one. =^D

  • yay new video!!!!!

oh and btw the video quality is great :)

and as usual a lol'd like a 100 times while watching the video

    lastly, my cousin says hi!

  • @warhawkpro Yeah sorry aout the down time there I've been taking care of issues on my end that have put me behind schedule. But Im now back 2 weekly videos again.

Alright Im glad you laughed I have accomplished my goal yay =^D. Tell your cousin Crazy Chris says "Hey lil man!" =^D

  • Well thanks very much. =^D It really is wicked kool that you give me the privillage to keep entertaining you each week. =^D

  • Great video !!!!

  • You should really reconsider on being that "crazy", and focus more on being like you are when explaining how the blobs works (from 2:06 to 2:57) I didn't really like any other parts of the video but that is my opinion :)

  • @SRLZytex Well I'll let you in on a lil secret, I didnt get the partnership because I was quite calm and republican. I got here because of the awsome supporters of the "CRAZY" Chris charector that promised to keep exciting energetic and over all CRAZY!! Im going to make a suggestion maybe this show isnt for you.

  • I see.. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings or anything like that because I got the feeling that you were angry in that reply..

  • @SRLZytex Believe me after being on youtube for 2 years, you didn't hurt my feels & I was not angry. I was simply saying that these videos may not be something you may enjoy since they are all high energy like this one. Im not saying your not allowed to watch Im just saying that you might not like this series of videos.

  • great vid as usual chris.

You are YouTube partner? This is great! :)

    cheers

    marko

  • @retrosound72 Yeah they did even though some how as much as I find still cant believe it myself, Youtube decided after 82 applications to finally allow me to make gas money. Im SO happy that im making gas money.

  • Cool Science file Chris! Also, CONGRATULATIONS on becoming a YT Partner. I knew it was only a matter of time before they gave it to ya!

  • @Bostonian7799 Well thanks very much. I like to think of it as your guys partnership more then mine. Because unlike the partners or rather the other partners, I know with out awsome supporters like you I would still be some unknown hobbist making films in his basement. So thanks again for your continued support it really means the world to me. =^)

  • Nice one.

    Didn't know that.

  • @Merdam9 Now you know. =^D Although I knew the basics of how these lights work, I didnt want to give the basic explanation so I had to do some reasearch to get a more detailed explanation. So dont feel bad I didnt know the detailed explanation. Now we both know. :)

  • congradulations on ur parntership chis :) u definetly deserve it ur the funiest person on youtube

  • @HalloweenClub lol well thanks very much, I do my best to make these as hilarous as possible. =^D

  • Oww my head hurts soooooo coooool lights lol

  • @TONYEASTSIDE4VIDA - Well Im glad you liked the flourescent lights, now go light up, that means an energy saving light bulb not the magic dragon. =^D
