Ol' Merle...What a legend. Stand up in front of a mic and sing with that voice you know anywhere. I grew up listening to Merle Haggard. I took my dad to see Merle in Sydney years ago.....One of my favourite songs...Valentine ;-)

@martindr2 That's Redd Volkaert. He's amazing. He plays with a bunch of people down in Austin. He won a Grammy in 2009 for best country instrumental. Probably my favorite guitar player around right now.

After serving 17 years you appreciate Merle and his music. Why is it that life is still hard to be excepted. You pay your debt let us have a new start everyone is intitle to a mistake in life..And prison life in a max unit is very confine.Just the smell of perfume if that happen maybe while seing a doctor was blessing. Or even the sight of a female . Yes there is alot to be thankful for and prison is no place to be proud of , Employment is hard to come by but for an exconvict with trade skills .
