  • @philounix

    It's a G harmonica

    JD

  • lesson pls :D very nice cover. nice voice very nice playin

  • Very good job !! I wish I could play it as well. Hope to hear (and perhaps) see more nice covers from you. Especially from Dylan. Greeds from Europe...

  • Great work! A good view of your picking; I'm using that as a reference to help with this song. (I just picked up the guitar this summer).

  • Nothing that hasn't been said before, but great job on this cover (voice, guitar, and harmonica). I enjoy your cover more than the PPM and Clancy Brothers version (by far). 'I'm Not Here' has re-inspired my enjoyment of Dylan songs.

  • where did you get the harmonica tabs for this?

  • Very nice cover ^^.. U can check mine too if U do want to

  • good shit.. but god damnit find me an original..

  • theres a great tone in your voice! this is a great post, thanks!

  • great cover, one of my fave dylan tunes

  • great cover dude...

  • G r e a t...guitar sound,great harmonica and a cool voice.Very well done.

  • this is my favorite song of all time. thank you

  • GREAT!!!!

  • Almost better than the original! Very nice job man.

  • nice cover

  • Just great!

  • I hope everybody knows they're covering a cover.

  • This is great.. Please check out my cover version

  • This is awesome, great voice, great skills on the harp, perfect. 10 outta 5 stars.

  • Wonderful, great work man!

  • This is such a great version... your voice brings the hopeful future peace that this song is all about... great work.

  • I love your playing, I play piano as well but the steel string folk guitar has many difficulties. your right hand work is exceptional, I love this style but being accurate, keeping control of the pick in your fingers and retaining a light even tone is so difficult but the essence of the style. You do this as well as anyone I have heard. I'm trying and I use your video's to inspire me!! Did you work on the right hand slow and then gradually speed it up? Thanks again.

  • Could I get harmonica tabs? Great cover!

  • Could you send me the chords? This is the best cover i've heard. Great job!

  • This is such a good cover!

  • excellent!!! you have a great voice!

  • not many people can cover dylan that well. kudos.

  • brilliant.

  • could you put up or send me a tab for this its perfect

  • Excellent !!!!!

If I were Dylan, I'd be proud of this version.

    PS: good harmonica

  • Well played man, sounds good!!

  • superb!

  • This cover of this song is the winner.

  • Nice job mate! Love this song. Any chance you could explain the strumming pattern? Im a beginner :).. Have a nice day anyway :)

  • great work john, your doing what im trying to get too, class mate true class...be proud of that john

  • great job man, Dylan would be proud of this

  • I love all the sweet variations you do! It's helped me to add a few of my own.

    Really enjoyin the covers!

    ~Austin

  • Really nice job.

  • amazing cover, love this song.

  • Well done, nice voice and a the guitar sounds great!

  • Cheers Niels89

  • Great! The old and obligatory question:

Where do I find the tabs you use?

  • I don't have any Daniel369b sorry.

The chords are pretty straight forward.

    G, Bm(open 1st and only play 1st four strings)Am,C G,Em,C,G

    G,Bm,Am,C,G,D,G

  • thank you

  • this is a really great cover, i like it. good job.

  • Nice of you to say so Jackoho.

  • what kind of guitar are ya playin on?

  • It's a Yamaha LD10E

  • what key

  • It's played in G with a G harmonica.

  • Also excellent playing, voice sounds strained in some places, harmonica was ok but could use some more practising? (I know it isnt easy with that kind of fixture)

  • God loves a trier, eh Jonas

  • Didnt mean to be whining but I think I see a pattern on the various dylan covers here, guitar is usually best, voice is nr2 and harmonica is nr3, and I think that applies for me to. Perhaps harmonica is harder to master than you might think?

  • No problem, your comments are fair enough. I'd like to have more time to practice. Work always seems to get in the way.

  • Great cover man! It's one of my all-time favourite Bob tracks. I'd love to play it like you do. Have you tabbed it?

  • Cheers Roger,

I'm sorry I haven't tabbed anything. I learn by ear mostly. There are no difficult chords in this one, it's about practicing the bass runs.

    All the best,

    Jonn

  • I really wish you have tabbed it. I can't understand how you play it from this video. Unfortunate angle perhaps. If you'll put some time in tabbing it, I'd be very grateful.

  • Great cover! I love this song. I also have the same harmonica holder.

  • Thanks HardRain0

For a Hohner blues harp size harmonica it's the best holder I've come across. It never slips.

  • that was fuking awesome John!

  • Cheers Rootham,

One of my more up beat efforts.

    Jonn.

  • I don't normally say this but awesome!!!

    emity

  • You're still mental dude.
