Yeah it takes a few months to impress. Start with a figure eight move. Almost everything is based off that. Practice in mirrors to really get good. Like anything the longer you practice the more you know and the better you will get!!

@dinal90 I just started taking up this new method of bruising myself, how long do you practice in a day? And also how far do you swing the glow sticks from your body? Because right now I try to hold them as far away as possible so it doesn't hit me as much.

@kantui525 hey, when I started I would practice as much as I could, up to 4 hours! but I had a lot of free time on my hands. Usually I would practice a few moves I wanted to learn or improve, so I'd spend about 20 min on each or until I was comfortable with my improvement, or until I was hit so much I was ready kill some glowsticks. When I'm glowstringing I usually keep the strings closer. you will get comfortable with them to the point where you don't need to have your eyes open!

hey SMTX if your just starting up, i would STRONGLY reccomend going to 'aquathane's channel, its AMAZING i just put out my one month video, and its all thanks to him...so yeah...it will really help you with the learning curve, hes an awesome teacher

Im trying to learn to glowsting too, but if i keep on using real glowsticks it will be too expensive, but i dont enjoy training without the light, im thinking off buying LED Sticks, but those costs like 50 dollars for shipping to denmark... what do i do???

@Osmann45 hey man, a few things you could do. you could just use regulars and put them in the freezer when you are done practicing. then put them in a warm cup of water for like 15 seconds when you want to try again. i did this.

or you could try and make your own LED using finger led lights, empty a glowstick and tape them to it. i liked this alot but there were lighter in weight than the normal ones, but you could probably find a way to weight them down. hope this helps!

take some long tube sucks and weight them down with half a bar of soap or something about that size. They don't glow obviously but if your looking for something to practice with thats cheap and durable then thats the best option. You can watch yourself in the mirror and get the feel of it better with what i just described then with alot of other things.

@Osmann45 #1, go buy some glow sticks, use them, keep them! the burn out glow sticks are now your practice sticks, btw.... lots and lots of time doing it, use shoe strings for your strings, they work best

LED's i persoanally found easier to practice with when using 2 on 1 string at the same end tied together, weight makes them spin easier when still used to the glowsticks
