@fbenenati Excellent footage at 2:33 & the Ju 52 is fun to look at too. Hokey commercial. I would love to pilot either one of those 'Spits', although the clipped wing was the low altitude specialist. And if given a chance "tante Ju" as well.
Thanks for reply. If you look at the credits carefully, the director of aerial photography is listed as a David B. Nowell. I knew this fellow as a young boy back in the 50's and early 60's. Have not seen him since. But he did a great job and so did th pilots. I am like you: envy them and would love to fly one. I have flown (back seat stick time) in three P-51's though. It was fabulous. Love the flying in the IWC video. Best regards.
LOL........I think of Malkovich's words every time I see flight instructors in my parking lot standing around a flat tire on a car scratching thier heads and calling a wrecker.
Typical.Yanks nicking our history again. The watch is called Spitfire (a British plane) and not Mustang. That's because these watches were bought by the British government in a job lot for RAF pilots in 1939.
Typical "Bloke". I thought IWC stood for International Watch Company, not British Watch Company. Here's a little history for you: (oh, and while "the Spit" is nice it wouldn't stand a chance agaist the P-51)
Originally, IWC was an American company producing watches in Switzerland for the US market.
you asshole don´t know anything....it´s bad enough that i have to speak your dirty speech...but otherwise you can´t understand me....now in the future...we feel really bad for this what we´ve done....we hate nazis and hitler more then you !......So shut up and piss of bastardt !!!
There are no real pilots anymore. Just people in nifty uniforms who operate computers... Real pilots lived in the old days. They deserve the watch like that.
Another great video to watch, except for different watch name and P-51: type in "too late, baby, two minutes" and enjoy!

not so much a company as one guy - American Florentine Aristo Jones - but yes its called a "spitfire" for the reason the pommie mentioned.
and the p-51 was only good after the brits gave the americans their awesome merlin V12 :P

I speak German quite well, actually. And I think you mean "piss off."
I like how you call my language "dirty" -- very Nazi-esque of you, really.
