i've got a problem with my packard bell easynote LJ61, thought someone might have a solution for this, about 3years ago i've accidentally poured a whole can of coke on it, and since when i turn it on, i only get a black screen with a little white stripe blinking in the top left of the screen, solutions/tips anyone? maybe i'd better just go to a decent computer store ...

i have a packard bell and just above the keyboard there is a little P icon which if u touch can open a shortcut if you have set one for it. do you by any chance know how to change the shortcut once its been set???

I have an LJ65 myself but with different specs

Nvidia GT130M 1gb

320gb hd

the built quality is superb! never had any problem with it. Came with Vista 32bit unfortunately but i installed 7 64bit and it works perfectly!

If you want quality but don't want to spend much, Packard Bell is the way to go!

cost to replace is £22 plus the labour

stay clear

if you have one already and it will not power on this is the most likely cause

i bought this laptop because it had good feature and the best spec...but then i decided i would exchange it for HP Pavilion dv6-3005sa even though it would be a slight downgrade in terms of spec.....the HP is better looking and looks much cooler and has a more rock solid feature !!!

this a sweet laptop BUT after a year of owning it (care taken, used regularly), its slightly slower and games almost become unplayable. battery last for only 2 hours. good for everything apart from gaming.

Great laptop, but I prefer Packard Bell EasyNote LJ75 with Intel Core i5 430M, 4gb, 500gb hdd and ATI Radeon HD 5650... that one s much better I think.

P.S. Maan, I'm from Ukraine and I think that even my accent is better than yours... =)

its pretty good with mid level games like COD 4 and NFS undercover...keep in mind that the LJ-65 only has 512mb graphic card...so thats enuff for mid level games.

@gnipy85 There is a utility at the top of the screen, just place your cursor over it and it will cascade down, that's where you can activate the web cam manually. It's a software by PB.

however the web cam will work on websites and messengers.

This is not a blu-ray version, so watching one is out of the question :)

Laptop is fine. If you are asking for recommendation on this machine, then i would say, go for the Corei3 and not for Core2Duo because the whole processor line-up has been updated and the prices aren't that different.

Pay a bit extra and get the Corei3 version.

i havent tried blu-ray yet...but i will surely recommend it...its awesome..and after conducting a market survey...this is the best buy you can get...i mean 4gb ddr3 man...but try getting the EasyNote LJ-75 series..mine is EasyNote LJ-65 .LJ-75 is upgraded with core i3 and 15 processors and they come with windows 7...mine came with vista
