  • this show just keeps on serving up stuff the more you watch. I've seen this ep about three times now and never noticed 'Dean Learner' copping a feel at @3:47.

    lol

  • Bloody brilliant writing...

  • I can't believe I JUST discovered this. Probably the most amazing show I've ever seen in my life.

  • right now theres a halfprice sale on werid

  • "It was a double edged point"

  • can anyone else see the gravestone move at 3:28?

  • Comment removed

  • 2:20 "well that'll stop him" LMFAO, total overkill with the magnum, random shotgun blasting, and a flamethrower.

  • Love this show

  • I love how, after the shooting/ burning, you can see the tombstone to Rick's right blowing in the wind. Haha.

  • Comment removed

  • "I'm sure we all feel that he exploded to young" This is damn funny. As is Julian generally.

  • I had a cat once, i dropped a safe on it, it was a right off. So i stepped on its head.

  • of all the times i've watched this i'm always finding something i missed. i just noticed that dean learner grabs liz's ass at 3:45

    best show ever

  • What does he say @4:25 ? Deal with the burden of day to day ....? I cant make it out

  • @I3lindGuardian he says 'the burden of day to day admin (administrative work)'

  • Dean Learner is a god among men.

  • i feel sanchez is the best television character i have seen.....

  • lmao!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gotta love Dean's shameless ass grab at the end.

  • Most epic way to shoot a shotgun lmao 2:09 - 2:14

  • i like how there are 15 dislikes -- why did these people watch the first 2 parts?!!!

  • 3:29

  • holy fuck

I JUST now realized that's THE howard moon.

    <3

  • " LOOK out he's a got a GUN!!! "

  • If I were a network executive and this pilot came across my desk... I'd sign on for it with at least a 4 season contract. This would have one of the biggest cult followings ever!!!!

  • @neumann81 agreed

  • 3:30, the gravestone on the left moved

  • *slow motion* "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

    "move aside"

  • "I went for a drive to clear my head, which is why I'm now in the car."

  • "that'll stop him"

    LOL

  • I like how Dag's arm is in a sling for no reason whatsoever.

  • Reed's random shotgun fire always cracks me up.

  • I kept thinking about Larry... and how convenient his blowing up had been.

  • All the "stone" graveyard props waving in a suspiciously styrofoam manner in the breeze XD

This show is amazing - they've parodied every tiny nuance.

  • That's a lot of shots for a revolver... a silenced one at that.

  • Press 0 over and over again.

  • there are 15 people that are double edge points

  • Thats the mother Rick

  • Of all the great 80's cliches this show parodies, it still says that it's copyright MMIV at the end credit, which is 2004 in Roman Numerals, and on top of the old Channel 4 logo at that.

  • At 1:04, the guy with the blonde hair was also on the boosh in the "journey to the centre of punk" episode.

  • Sanchez, off camera at 2:22, after Garth torches the guy: "Well, that'll stop him." Jesus, that's funny.

  • Press 0 over and over again.

  • OMFG. The funeral bahahahaha

  • "It was a double-edged point."

  • The priest who does the funeral is Howard from the mighty boosh

  • Thats one hell of a funeral.

That black dude REALLY likes shooting that shotgun.

  • You Brits are so lucky to have stuff like that on telly... I really envy you.

Thank you so much for uploading, Flea! British comedy is the best!

  • ok ... that was amazing!

  • Good god..thats alive!! Matt Berry is a fucking legend

  • WHYYYYYYYYY do they not release this on US compatible DVD?!?!?!

    ?!?!?!

  • "That's the mother, Rick!"

*shoots her out of the way*

  • 3:48 sexual harrassment

  • That music while he's driving the car is actually pretty cool. I could see it working well in a serious movie.

  • The scary bit is I remember shows like this that were dead serious from back in the 80's from both UK and US television. They even got the murky film stock right.

  • grave moving at 3:32

  • 'Well that will stop him.'

  • Garth looks like my Physics Professor in high school... what a lamer he was..

  • My god where has this show been all my life.

  • I wish I had that kind of shotgunning skills.

  • lol larry's mother looks really young

  • this is probably the best 6:19 of any persons life

  • @jechichi successful trool is successful... but still lame

  • just discovered this, so amazing

  • lol 0:24, appears from the bushes.

  • 1:10 Dan the preacherman!

  • "That's the motha, Rick!"

That guy in the back with all those side comments is perfect.

  • @jechichi I thought you were being sarcastic. Then soon realized you were being serious. The moving tomb stone is an homage to Ed Wood. Wow... Get a life dude.

  • @jechichi As a fellow American, I really hope you're trolling right now. If not, you're retarded.

  • @jechichi You are kidding right? You do realize this is a spoof ...right? Um... right?

  • @jechichi It's a spoof, retard.

  • Pure gold.

  • The car in the beginning looks like the ones I made with lego :P

  • Well done Ladds!!!! ;)

    Australia needs you!!!

  • Well done Ladds!!!! ;)

  • 13 shot revolver

  • gratuitous shotgun use

    Approved.

  • Larry Renwick will be remembered for his wit and laughing eyes and for being above all a good friend. I'm sure we all feel he exploded too young. But, the Lord moves in mysterious ways. Sometimes He'll come in at an angle, other times He can hover and swoop. Sometimes he can come from beneath- like a worm or mole. The Lord it's his call how he chooses to maneuver.

  • I want to have sex with this show. A lot of sex. Weird German sex where someone's lost a limb.

  • I love all the gratuitous shotgun firing. best show ever made by mortals.

  • 1:50 - funny how garth keeps his regular voice while the mothers voice is pitched down :DD

  • LMAO! The whole pointless gun shooting! AAAAAAAAAAAH! HAHAHA

  • "It seems as though Dagless was right about burning Renwick, I'm just going to go over there and tell him that!"

  • I LOVE HOWARD'S RANTS!

  • 2:31

    Liz crying. xD

  • well that'll stop him

  • @AlpinKirkonen Greatest Line ever

  • @rupertpupkin77 damright

  • Moss's hand at 3:47. eep!

  • @jlthopper hahahaha you mean Thornton Reed :D I can´t imagine Moss doing that.

  • @Aggisu :) yes, perhaps that was the cause for my shock then -- he is still Moss to me, and it seemed so... strange

  • Not only does Darkplace as a concept and a comedy touch on everthing I love, it is also scored beautifully.

Sci Fi ran this thing one night, I believe it was just this ep, and it was so odd that I had to keep watching it. When I finally let my cognitive dissonance adjust and went back and watched it again, I realized this is one if the best fucking things I've ever seen on TV.

  • @psychicwhoosh So true.I had the same feeling when I saw it on the Cartoon network. When I went to the UK i bought the DVD... you may want to check out the Look Around You Series...

    Its just as brilliant!

  • Proof that guns work better than prayers!

  • Wait, they put him back together? He wasn't chopped up into neat bits; he exploded!

  • thorton grabs her ass ahahah what a badass

  • Great:-)

  • I wouldn't say I buy it Liz, let's just say I'm window shopping, and right now there's a half price sale on weird.

  • one of the best comedy shows ever

  • I like how Julian is talking but his mouth isnt moving

  • Hahahahaha

The part in the graveyard when they all of a sudden have guns and flamethrowers is one of my favorite moments of any TV show ever.

  • Best show I have ever seen.

  • "You'd best go see to the mother. I had to put a cap in her shoulder."

    Imao XD

  • "That'll stop him" HAHAHAHAHA

Also love the gravestone swaying in the breeze. I don't know anyone else who has even heard of this show, let alone loves it as much as I do. I wish the DVD was available in region 1 format. arrgh.

  • its annoying that you cant see deans eyes in the funeral scene on the dvd version he keeps looking at the camera with that stupid look on his face, it gets me every time

  • I love how the headstone moved around during the "dramatic scene".

  • this show's crazy ahahah!LMAO!

  • doors that were hard to shut because theyre abstract and have no handles

  • floppy tombstone, hahaha

  • Well that will stop him!

  • Haha, the credits are hilarious. Other than writer, why would you want to be associated with this show? I wish this show had more than 6 episodes.

  • XD AT JULIAN

  • I love how after the burning scene when he's on the rooftop his arm is in a sling for absolutely no reason

  • lol 1:56 to the flame througher is hella funny with the black guy

  • He exploded far too young.

  • HOWARD MOON!

  • lol i know i was like, holy shit its howard moon, dixon bainbridge and the black guy is saboo. and i love how saboo is using his shotgun shooting off angle and then the next second he doesnt evn have his shotgun but dagless is shooting the guy instead

  • at 3:30 the gravestone on the left moved in the wind. :D

  • "i had a cat once, i dropped a safe on it, it was a write off so i stepped on its head" probably one of the best lines ive ever heared

  • "I'm just gonna go over there and tell him that" :D omg this is too funny

  • thats the mother rick!

    -pew-

  • the fucking grave-stones! flappin in the wind!

  • " . . . doors that were hard to shut b/c they were abstract and did not have handles" -- LOL, yes, my new favorite show now

  • I have to say thats the funniest thing ever,

about pressing the buttons on a keyboard, getting them in the right order is the hard part.

  • Hahaha this series is so freakin awesome. it trounces dr who my leagues

  • I love how he's randomly shooting a shotgun, and then suddenly it pans back and he's just standing there watching again! frickin' hilarious!

  • like no joke, my friend and i couldnt stop laughing. i actually couldnt breath for a good while, thats how funny that whole scene was!

  • just saw this show tonight. im in wuuuuv :D

  • Why the hell is his arm in a cast at the bit at the end?

  • in association with dean learner haha

  • I kept thinking about larry and how inconveiniant his blowing up had been. hi-larious

  • hah. i love that the grave sways with the wind

  • 3:29 - 3:30

Ed Wood reference? Look at the tomb stone to the left

This is the greatest show ever

  • Big doors that were hard to close, because they were abstract and had no handles.

  • I wouldnt say i buy it liz

Lets Just say im window shopping

    :L:L:L

  • I had a cat once, I dropped a safe on it

  • I love how the black dude is shooting at him with the shotgun but at 2:07 you can see him standing in the background watching.

    This show rules.

  • that bit had me crying with laughter

  • This oozes Twin Peaks

    very funny

  • This is all so brilliant! I almost can't handle it.

  • "Well that'll stop him"

  • i think the mother is the same actress who plays the brocolli lady

  • he exploded too young.....then he pops out and hes perfectly intact. gotta love this show

  • Oh, but you can see he's been carefully stitched back together

  • "im sure we all feel he exploded too young..." hahaha

  • 0:00 .....Do it

  • i got post 777....the mark of the unbeeeeast

    this show is epic.

  • It's the small touches which make this programme work, like casting a woman in her twenties to play the grieving mother of a man in his thirties.

  • One of the tombstones sways in the wind. Hah.

  • GATEWAY TO THE WEEEEEIIRRRRRD!!!

  • @Kyithios actaully it happened twice lol

  • @flyingbob5 You seem to be right, sir.

  • I'm sure we all feel that he exploded too young...

  • 1:12

    oh look, its Howard Moon!

  • "I wouldn't say I'd buy this, I'd just say I'm window shopping, and right now there's a half price sale on weird."

    BAHAHHAHAHA

  • Evil Doors, Dark Doors, Doors To The Beyond

  • this has to be the funniest thing i've seen in a long time.

'i had a cat once, i dropped a sofa on it. it was a write off, so i stood on it's head.'

  • "stood on it is head."?

you want "its." "it's" always means "it is."

  • ...alright, it was a typo :P

  • no.

  • haha, his hand at 3:46 :L

btw, whys his arm in a sling at the end?? :L

  • lol at 3:29 the tombstone starts moving with the wind

  • Wait, how did his body reassemble like that? :P

  • My favourite moment of this entire series is the shot of Liz crying for no reason. AMAZING.

  • Ha it brought a smile to my face when I read your comment because I love that bit and you just reminded me of it. I haven't seen it for a while because I left the dvd at my old flat. Thanks for reminding me. :P

  • No problem.

Also the cat voice saying "JUST LEAVE!" became a catchphrase amongst friends. And someone would always follow up with "Funny, that cat just asked me to leave!"

    Liz was the best.

  • I love how Dean only really starts "acting" when he's acting opposite Garth.

  • holy s**tscauce it's howard moon!!!

  • The tombstone fluttering in the wind is a nice touch.

  • You really have to give it to the cast It takes a good actor to act bad on purpose

  • "Doors that were hard to shut because they were abstract and didn't have handles." HA ha ha ha!! One of the best lines I've ever heard.

  • Not sure why I never laughed at this. The writing is brilliant. "All I do is sit down at the typewriter and start hitting the keys....Getting them in the right order! That's the trick." Would definitely watch more.

  • 2:22 Well that'll stop him LMAO

  • IT'S HOWARD MOON!
