Hi John, great video series. I thought I'd say when your parting you could put a small dowel pin or a thick wire in your drill chuck and run that in the part so it catches it for you.
@causticblood I forgot to add this, when you cut a nice groove you can back the tool out and debur the edge of the cut with a file or sand paper, it's a bit easier if you're parting to length!
Thanks for following along and for your comments. You're right on track, a small wire would work well. I do find myself grabbing a small wire and hand holding it much too often and am VERY careful around the spinning chuck!
