  • Great stuff guys! Thanks for sharing!

  • that equipment is amazing!!!! wish i had the money for it!!! (yeah... i'm 13 years old so...)

  • part two???

  • Gretsh Georgia, "i'm not gonna tell coz you'll hate me. . " haha, nice one..

  • @bryanlim10 sounded like he said "gretsch george jet" like homage to george harrison.

  • yeah it´s important to stay focused when the event comes, I always got a little to nervous when it came to that, remembering all the things you have practiced, solos , how the song goes, people watching you, it´s alot to take in

  • so i found out how much he got the duo jet for, and i might just hate him a lil bit for it...lets just put it that way...

  • beautifull voice is the best thing in this video. and the nigel rig jeje Amazing setup

  • god bless Ebay

    HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHHAHA nice xD

  • Is Ray's Taylor a 314ce?

  • correct me if i'm wrong, but does he try to call his gretsch the "george jet"?

i think he gets his light OD by just pounding on the guitar with the amps set close to breakup.

  • @dus65

The guitar is Gretsch Duo Jet.

    Blessings

  • and in the chorus in the second song too. anyone know?

  • i wanna know how he got that kind of distortion in salvation is here. i already knew bout the delay and tremolo

  • its all in his amps,, thats why he uses vintage vox's and matchless and fenders

  • @notjudgementday The tone is actually from using overdrive and not distortion your best bet is using a Jakel and Hyde or T-Rex Mudhoney overdrive. I know because I play for the church and attend the college.

  • @notjudgementday

The warmth of his overdrive comes from his amps I believe.

Values essential gives you much warmer and smoother sound.

  • necesito el video de salvation is here y no lo puedo sacar porque no se las notas alguien podria decirme las notas bendiciones gracias

  • Very Good!

  • bem que alguem poderia traduzir esse video em português pra gente!!!! : )

  • I wonder how much he really paid for that Gretsch.... Ive always been curious

  • I wish i have black electic guitar Nigel Hendroff?

  • I wish I could rock dreads in church

  • tonto pasmado

  • Ok that black ting with all the switches, in which he changes each song, what exactly is that called, how much do they run, I really need to buy one. Some technical help anyone please!

  • The 2 main things on his rig are following. 1) TC Electronic G Force $1499 - Rack Effects

    2) VooDoo Lab Ground Control Pro - MIDI Foot Controller $399 - Foot Controller which allows you to change presets & effects.

An alternative which combines both is

    3) TC Electronic G-System $1499 - This has both the switching & the effects

All of the above are pro quality effects that are used by touring musicians. Hope that helps.

  • Wow thanks. Yeah my church is trying to build up a stronger praise team for our youth services, and i made the switch from drums to guitar, so i'm still learning all the technical stuff. i really appreciate it.

  • Funny you should mention it, but I, myself, am a praise team teacher & director of youth group at my church. I'm a guitarist who wishes he had better drum skillz. lol. I'd be glad to help out anytime.

  • If you're starting out on the guitar and don't want to spend an arm & leg yet... I'd recommend getting a POD XT Live $399. A used one on eBay will run approx $250. It's an amp modeling multi-effects floor module with USB to allow effects download from online & tweaking configuration from your PC. Best bang for the buck.

  • Ok thank....Yeah my pastor's son(youth pastor) has mentioned the POD XT before. It basically does the same thing that this guy's rig does i suppose.

  • lolol "i wont tell you how much i got it for cuz youll hate me"

  • Oh my gosh what a crazy Bridge... i never actually heard that in the real song but That is so cooll.. im gonna try to apply that now

  • All of their "stuff" is bought personally if you didnt hear him "I bought it off Bob Taylor himself" so before you start criticizing pay attention to whats being said. Also they do have God in there they travel the world where nobody knows about Jesus Christ and they play their music to show them who he is! Money has nothing to do with anything.

  • unless you have nothing :) but it's true... anyway music does not have to cost mutch...

Got my ac30 cc2 for like 450 euro's (second handed) with a retube afterwards... Bought a warmoth guitar which is awesome and costed me only 700 euros (better you won't get, customshop squality)... only thing which was expensive was my cable...

owh yeah :) broken effects you can get for 25 euro, and they are in most cases easy to repair ;)...

    just some hints :D

  • well being an AG church, they probably are feeding several small countries. Or atleast the poorest of the poor in those countries. God Bless

  • would it kill you to capitalize the G in God? (for the title) -__-

  • GOD BLESS EBAY!!!

My gritch is the same as his!

  • GRETSCH

  • @KaYzEeTUBE "God Bless 'Ebay'" lol

  • you have a gretsch... you can't even spell it right.

  • if u didnt notice he corrected himself

  • soo much stuff!!!

  • Do you know what overdrive Nigel uses on the majority of the songs? Also does anyone know his AC30 amp settings?

  • what are u talking about, they r great, exspecially there guitarists they play so much different then alot other players

  • lol my guitar teacher brought that ground control off nigel when he saw him not last year but the year before and i actually got to meet him and play his duo jet wooootttt couldnt believe it and my guitar teacher gave me the ground control wooooooooootttttttttttt

  • i think he has ashtma.... O_O

he keeps breathing so freakin hard... what the freak.

    VAT?!

  • "i can't tell you cuz you'll hate me"

    "God bless Ebay"

    Nigel is so funny

  • Does anyone know what switch controller hi uses?

  • ground control by voodoo labs

  • I agree with robojim4000 on this one. 'Doing church' is a phrase I really struggle with on this video.

It implies that they have to get into a certain 'mindset' before they worship, which is correct in regards to putting other priorities and concerns aside before beginning to worship God but at the same time, a worshipful heart is something that we should be continuing throughout the week, not just on Sundays or a special event.

On the whole, a good video.

  • i see what you're saying, but when you're a musician that's as busy as these guys, even though you know who it is that you're doing all this for, you can let schedules and other things get in the way. so it's always good to remind yourself that it's not you that everyone is cheering for, it's jesus.

  • i don't think nigel is playing in standard tuning judging by nigels chord positions.

  • he usually plays inversion chords, it sounds right cuz you need at least 1 guitar playing the normal chords.

So in this case the Acoustic, but he is in standard tunning

  • the only signature sound that i've heard from his is

he changed that shit duo jet gretsch sound into wonderful sound.

  • I Look up to hillsong

  • this stuff is really cool, and really helpful. Although im quite suprised that at no point at the start when they talk about preparation, and during the 'gig' none of them are actually thinking about worshipping. Theyre playing, 'relaxing', and having fun, which is all brilliant, but no-one is talking about worshipping. Closet thing that was said is 'having church' - bit strange. Nevertheless, great work guys!

  • Could be couse this is a music oriented video? It approaches the music part really. Not the spiritual. You know, as worship leader you have to work both, unless you are one of those worhship leaders who dont play an instrument =). Hillsongs has professional musicians, so this is great advice for people who want to improve their skills for the Lord.

  • yeah thats a great point razork123. besides try standing in front of thousands of people with lights and screaming and stuff and still trying to keep everything in order. its good to relax. ive played in front of about 600 a few times and with lights and screaming and things it gets tough to not get caught in the moment but to relax and do what ur there to do... lead worship

  • If you have some old stuff you dont need our chruch would love to have it thank bro love Adam from Mansfield vic.

  • i think nigel really knows how to get a bargain :P

  • This is awsome men =D

  • what kind of effects he have?

  • fulldrive 2, Tube screamer, Expandora, Dyna Comp, Rc booster, tone-bone classic overdrive, line6 Echo Pro, and Tc electronics G force. now in 2007 he has a different system.

  • what kind of effects he have?

  • ah don't spam for answers men

  • pretty eager there, mate.

  • what kind of effects he have?

  • so ah. ah. . .

  • Great stuff. it's helpful for learning parts to play as a team.

  • good stuff. would have greater value if camera were more directly focused on fret board. thanks Hillsong!

  • wow! im getting a Gretch GUITAR !!! :):)

  • ive been looking at some paul reed smith myself

  • sweet guitar too ;)

  • just got one which looks like nigels!!
