  • you tell that bitch whats up loafy boy...give it to her good and hard..fuck that cunt

  • thumbs up if you seen snot fly out of his nose at 1:30 =D

  • JOIN THE BILL WAGGONER CREW!!! MEATLOAF 4 LYFE!!

  • I'm mum of two 6 & 2 year old, and I have to say that I fully agree with you! The education goes at the very first from the parents and the way they deal with all the extarnal influence that can fall on their children. So, when parents are there to give the right example, whatever influence is, it will not have much impact. My 6 year old is actually listen to rock, by tv have heard the kind of language you mention, but no way, god, no way she never ever uses it! By the way, thx for great music!

  • In fairness, Meatloaf, nobody was accusing you of being prejudiced or racist. Some lady didn't appreciate you swearing at a gig where children were present. Why did you then talk for 3 hours about how tolerant and generally nice you are? Your dad a minister? Your mum bringing a black to a church? So what? How is any of that in any way relevant to that lady's complaint?

  • I have met Meat Loaf's daughter Pearl & let me tell you, she is one of the nicest, friendliest people I have ever met in my life !! She did a meet & greet after a concert where she opened for her dad , {Both of them rocked the stage} & she is sweet, & talented and a genuinely nice person. Definitely the product of responsible & caring parenting !!! That woman could learn a lot from you. Good job, Meat !!!!

  • Meat Loaf: Telling it like it is

  • RIGHT ON MEAT! Come on now in this day and age that was just a little silly. You answered that AWESOMELY!!!! You have a silver tongue. COOL!!!!

  • very well said and nicely too

  • I first saw Meat when I was 6. Still love him 20 years later, still see him every chance I get, and he never did me any harm.

  • Makes me love you a lot more! I think you are fantastic!

  • Meat Loaf, You are right,it is her responsibility not yours. She should have never had her children there and out so late. Shame on her. She needs help. I love you Meat Loaf. You have the greatest the music, songs and songs of anyone.

  • agreed Meat........ don't bring kids to an adult show........ it would be different if it was a family show but come on they learn that stuff eventually so so be it let it be

  • Totally agree with you Meat, your shows are great and if it offends then so be it but hey nobody forces em'to stay !!

  • spot on Meat it IS 2011 and everyone has to take responsability for thier actions.

if you take a kid to an inapropriate place it is not the fault of the venue , it is your fault for not checking where you take them, if you make a mistake , grow up and explain to the kids what is and isnt ok and answer thier questions honestly dont teach them to lie or blame others needlessly...good work Mr Aday keep it up

  • Totally agree meat my parents swore all the time when we were kids didn't affect us as children what so ever. Sure I curse alot but who dosn't these days? as long as you treat people with respect there is NO problem.

And yes this is 2011 and im sorry if i offend people but its practically part of my vocabulary lol im scottish. Gordon Ramsay he's on tv all the time how many times does he curse in one episode?

  • You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth! My kids have been listening to you literally since before they were born...They are both grown now & they LOVE you! My son is the one that took me to the 2 Meat Loaf concerts I have been to, but I wouldn't have taken my 2 yr old grandson because rock concerts just aren't appropriate for children. But he already loves your music ! You are truly the God of Sax & Drums & Rock 'n' Roll ! Don't ever change! Love Ya!

  • Well said, Meat! I'm glad to see we share the same views. I'm so glad my kids look up to you as a roll-model!

  • In the words of C Low Greene mam F#@##% you

  • 'Swearing isn't bad language in the same way that rain isn't bad weather' Billy Connolly

  • @madgeniusmusic

Meat & Billy should do a concert together ! That would be a truly wonderful thing to behold!

  • @dragonkissessixfour I can hear the 'motorbike crash guitar solo' from Bat Out Of Hell on banjo even now! That would be awesome, we should start a campaign immediately.

  • @madgeniusmusic Hey Meat...Have your people call Billy's people...Do lunch, make some plans, and give me & madgeniousmusic some front row seats!!!!! Love ya, Meat!

  • He said this extremely well.

The woman needs to get out more. Or watch about a half hour of TV.

  • Well said, Meat. Bad language is not a real problem

  • couldnt have said it better myself, if you take a child (youth) to a rock concert, what do you expect to listen to "gospel music"

  • Well said Mr Loaf

  • Amen Meat!

  • well said.how can someone listen to rock then complain about hearing bad langauge.

  • Bottom line, you and your beautiful daughters are indeed the most gracious, decent, courageous and unprejudiced people one could wish to meet. A rock concert is a vibrant and colourful piece in the tapestry of our lives; but it is just that, and how we live our lives and how we treat others has the most importance. A response which exemplifies how decently you live yours.

  • I agree with you, my children have heard lots of swear words and they too are the most open minded, non prejudiced and totally nonjudgmental people that I have the pleasure to know - they are like your daughters, polite, kind and accepting of others. I think when we teach our children to be offended by words we teach them to be fearful of others x

You don't need to be sorry :) x

  • Bravo!

  • The F-word? Oh dear, Meat, you said Fudgesicle on stage?! =o

  • I bet she took her kid to Rocky Horror Picture Show because it was a musical.

  • I really liked how you handled this, You were a gentleman about it. She shouldn't have even left you that message on facebook. Keep rocking Meat, I love your music.

  • I took my 10 yr old to the Pitt concert. The language was nothing she hasn't heard at school or around in public. She was shocked by seeing the Paradise by the dashboard lights performance, but we prepared her for it and it opened discussions if she wanted to talk. Your music is alot better than 90% of the songs out there as far as lyrics. Please, my daughter says Bat out of H-E double hockeysticks by her choice. We have open door policy and we are responsible parents.

  • Cant see Barbara going to a Marlyn Manson concert with her kids any time soon. ;)

People swear all the time big deal some people need to get thicker skins.

  • @MrPowertorque

Oh i was meant to say Marilyn Manson

  • Don't use the f word but it's a okay for her kids to smell all the pot that permeated the air off and on.. go figure! You okay by me sir, I was at that concert and I have to say, yours was my best concert ever!!!!!

  • Children at a rock concert? wow that's bad parenting right there. Children shouldn't be allowed to a rock concert unless the band performing are a kids band.

  • So proud that you put your reply to Barb up for others to read so that they can really come to know you. Meat, I have been a fan since 77 while serving in the Navy, when I first listened to BOOH. Your honesty, dedication to your art, support for our men and women in service, your love for your nation and your faith in God, makes me so happy to call you a role model and a friend. This world needs more people like you Meat. Thank you for caring.

Love you brother. Play it Loud, Play it Proud!

  • Sir you are 101% correct..it takes a real man to hold his hands up and say sorry.!!!

May i ask a favour from you ??? nothing huge but i am a hartlepool united football club fan..we are so thankfull you acknowledged our team a few years ago and said they are your team...could you give the pools a shoutout for this season on your next youtube video please..

Thank you very much..love and respect !!!

  • Take care of yourself Meat!

  • I had to post something when I saw the criticism Barbara made of Meat's bad language. Let me say, "Bravo" to Barbara.

This has always been a problem with me and I'm no prude It just doesn't fit him.

He might think his f-bombs make him more edgy or whatever, but his use of such words comes off as gratuitous and silly. Meat, don't lecture this woman about insecurity. It could be you that's insecure. Why doesn't his manager tell him that the f-bombs come off like fingernails on a chalk board?

  • Meat is such a condescending ass...... and we all love him for it. Barbara, suck it up dear.

  • The sin isn't so much what spills out of your lips; it's what you have in your heart. Parents have a responsibility to teach their kids morality. If they've never heard ANY profanity, they've not had a chance to experience LIFE. Harry Nillson's "You're Breaking My Heart" is probably worse than anything you said on stage. Parents have a responsibility to their kids to let them experience life, and then teach them to turn from evil, and judge someone by their heart and not by their words.

  • LMAOOO I was AT the Balloon Festival with my 17, 11, and 8 year old kids!! Meat was very careful with his language...better than ME!!! "Golly Gee WIZ"....YOU forgot FUDGE!!!! @ whoever said "kids don't belong at a Rock Concert" ... Fudge YOU! ;)...My kids LOVE Meat!!!...Just Like their MOM!!!!!

  • I'll bet her husband never saw paradise by the dashboard lights.

  • Well said Meat, the world is full of all sorts of stuff, and after all they are only words.

The trick is teaching kids WHERE it's apropreate to use these words, NOT to ban them completely, because no matter WHAT you do or HOW you bring them up, they will hear these words somewhere, probably at school.

  • You are 100% right meat, you have done the right thing. your lyrics are just that song lyrics. They are an expression of a song. and your songs are much tamer than multitude of other "artists" putting out music that is all about violence and destroying society. I have been a loyal fan 7 follower for years. You may not even remember, but last year you fix a problem I had with a CD from your Orlando Concert. YOU CARE, You are not a fake performer. & I will never forget your personal mesage :) TY!

  • It's not your job to shelter her children from the world, if she doesn't want them seeing sex & drugs & rock-n-roll, then she shouldn't take them to rock-n-roll shows! Her parenting decisions are not YOUR fault, you keep doin' what yer doin'!

  • I wonder how she'd feel at an Elton John concert when Elton plays "The Bitch Is Back" and then right after that plays "The Circle Of Life" lol

  • thats what i tell my mom every day," mom its the year 2011, everyone uses bad words". I have an 8 year old and i have taught her to not repeat those words, and shes so awesome that she identifies them and knows exactly which they are and does not repeat them, we call them grown ups words jeje and it works!!!!! i can even let some slip and know that she wont say them back. It as easy as teaching our kids, thats all, teaching!!! with love and respect.

  • Exactly right! Barbara needs to lighten up an accept that not everyone speaks, thinks or acts as she does. Chastising others is rude.

  • what an idiot lol.. wtg meat!

  • this chick doesn't belong at a Meatloaf concert. don't like the language, don't go to the damn concert.

  • go meat! fuck that bitch!

  • Exactly right, Meat. And something else, why would parents bring their children to a rock concert anyway?

  • @eb413

my mum took me to a Meat Loaf concert when I was a kid, and I mean when I was around 10 years old, but she knew what to expect and it's not like she was trying to introduce me to rock music. I've been listening to Meat Loaf records since I was about 5 and my dad would scream obscenities when he burnt the food in the kitchen. I like to think my parents have brought me up well, I have good manners, to me bad language is not a problem.

  • Well Said, this woman obviously hasn't listened to you records and what they are about? I mean my kids listen to it and beleive me my kids have come home from school with language I dont appreciate!! Why was she there in the first place. What is good for the goose is good for the gander!

  • I couldn't have said it better myself (no pun intended haha). Love you Meat! :)

  • @Jacqueline7oX I was typing the exact same reply!

  • Don't apologize for being yourself!! FUCK Barbara!!

  • Tell that bitch to fuck off! She can get over it! You keep rockin and doin' what you do your shows are the best who cares what people think! But its pretty nice you actually make a response video and apologize!
