"They're always talking about 'What would Jesus do? What would Jesus do?' They don't wanna know so they can do it; they just wanna know so they can tell other people to do it. Well, I'll tell you what Jesus would have done... He would have got up on top of the Empire State Building and said, God bless everyone around the world forever and ever until the end of time."
And forgive me (you are Christians, remember), but if you use the Bible to condemn gays, you can't therefore righteously say that extremist Muslims are wrong for interpreting the Qu'ran as ordering the slaughter of infidels. Otherwise that's called a double standard.
I know religion is fairly used to getting a free pass when it comes to most rational arguments even in this day and age, but the 21st century is where the buck stops, and the focus of kindness comes back to the human individual.
"if you use the Bible to condemn gays, you can't therefore righteously say that extremist Muslims are wrong for interpreting the Qu'ran as ordering the slaughter of infidels"
Of course one can. They are apples and oranges. Just because one book is interpreted one thing doesn't mean a completely separate book must be interpreted to mean something else.
Further, even if I do agree the Koran orders slaughtering of infidels, doesn't mean I think the Koran is correct, so who cares?
The 'free pass' comment was a reference to the general sense of immunity that religion tends to enjoy against criticism. Take a look at modern Britain to see how free speech has been censored against even extremist Islam for example (ban on Geert Wilders speaking in the UK). There's never any genuinely promising debate because religion never puts forward any real tangible arguments than can be disproven...
I concede that in history government has sometimes enforced laws against free speech to protect religion; thankfully, I live in America where that is extremely rare. It is now and has always been open season on religion, and every other worldview.
As to "promising debate," please. What argument do you have AGAINST religion that can be proven or disproven? It is irrational to attempt to apply scientific methodology to everything. It's not meant for that.
...and pure faith is credited as being a valid response in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. As for 'knowing my history', I'm not entirely convinced that a having a deep awareness of (supposed) events long past would make my opinion on a modern subject any more well-founded. Finally, on the level of individual humanness, I see that you're a fan of Andy McKee and so am I, so shall we stop the intellectual wanking over religion and just enjoy some of the earthly wonders?
Your view of "faith" is lacking. My faith in God does not deny evidence of any kind. Again, you just do not understand religion very well.
I am not "wanking" here: you are the one attacking things you don't understand, and I am trying to gently encourage you to either understand them better, or to at least stop attacking them.
Attack intolerance, fine, but to attack religion for someone's intolerance is illogical, proven by the fact that many religious people are tolerant.
My point about WWJD was directed at usermanname's argument regarding gay marriage and what apparently is objectively right and wrong, clearly another religious nut telling people what the will of god is based on his own individual views. Re: the Koran, I think we agree - they say tomato, you say tomaato, so what more solid ground can either argument continue on when the 'proof' of both sides is purely their own faith?
First, you are telling people what is right and wrong based on your beliefs: saying being anti-gay is bad, and being kind to others is good. How is that better? Just because you don't call it "religion"?
Second, there's lots of arguments from science, history, meatphysics, theology, personal experience, and more that are involved in a discussion of "Christianity" vs. "Islam." To say it's a matter purely of faith is far too simplistic to fit onto reality.
As I stated, there's nothing that would distract from the main point even if they were making fun of Matt Damon. They could have portraited him like that either way just to make fun of YOUR views.
Every actor portraited in the movie oppose the war in Iraq, coincidence? I think not. You clearly missed the point, TA:WP is in fact an intelligent satire with more thought behind it than it seems.
They were making fun of Matt Damon as much, if not more than, they were making fun of conservatives. In fact, in the end, Stone and Parker stated they hate the idea of America being the world police, but they support it. That is: the essential message of TAWP, beyond the satirization of all comers, is that we need "dicks" to fight the "assholes" and that the "pussies" mostly just get in the way.
"In fact, in the end, Stone and Parker stated they hate the idea of America being the world police, but they support it."
Did you get that out of your ass? Parker himself is a registered Libertarian. As an american, you probably know their foreign policy ideas.
And WOW....you're the first one I've heard who REALLY took that last speach about "dicks and assholes" seriously! If you've watched South Park, you probably know how much they make fun of "ending speaches" in movies.
I never said they didn't make fun of Matt Damon, but just that while they're making fun of him, they're making fun of you aswell. So using TA's Matt Damon to prove something is ironic.
I bet that if Parker and Stone portraits Obama as an arab terrorist, you'll probably think it's based on their own feelings towards him.
Actually, no, you DID say they weren't making fun of Matt Damon. That was the clear implication of "Team America portrays *everything* through the eyes of the people that would support someone like Palin."
You're only digging your hole deeper. And you're pretty dumb.
I don't see how my coment confuses you, really. As long as it doesn't distract from the main point they can make fun of whomever they want.
If or if not they are making fun of Matt Damon is just a speculation though.
For instance, I don't believe that the Christopher Reeve episode in South Park was meant to criticise him, but to make fun of the people who believe that stem cell research is murder.
Obviously some people don't even understand the whole point of Team America.
Now that Matt Damon spoke his mind, lots of Palin supporters see him as some kind of retard. Team America portraits everything through the eyes of the people that would support someone like Palin.
It's a satire people, before you use Team America to make your point, try to understand the thought behind the movie.
Wow. You're the first person I've ever heard who thought that Parker and Stone weren't making fun of Matt Damon. Next you'll tell me that the "Mecha-Streisand" episode in the first South Park season wasn't making fun of Barbra Streisand.
this idiot Damon is afraid of Palin having the nuclear codes, but says nothing about obama having terrorist and anti-American friends that would love to get their hands on them. What a sick puppy.

If two gays want to get married and have civil rights, what does it matter? Who is Palin to say what's right and what's wrong? Anyone who votes for that nutjob is an idiot.
Now, that's a DIRECT quote from Palin herself in relation to climate change.
"It wasn't illegal. "
YES. The war on Iraq was illegal. It had no UN mandate. You've still not answered my point. Stating that the war on Iraq is God's plan is just as nutty as the terrorist Bin Laden & Co. stating that their war against the US is apart of Allah's plan. You're too fucking stupid to see this.
You said she DENIED that man causes global warming. SHE DID NOT.
Further, you said that every climatologist and geologist says man causes global warming, which is also a lie. Further, not even the IPCC itself says that it is a fact that man causes significant global warming.
"The war on Iraq was illegal. It had no UN mandate."
False. There is no legal obligation to get UN approval before using force.
"Stating that the war on Iraq is God's plan is just as nutty ..."
Um, actually I did answer that. You apparently can't read. I'll say it again: there is nothing whatsoever wrong with believing that everything is part of God's plan. You are incredibly stupid. Try reading a book or something.
How the fuck am I incorrect by stating the opposition to gay marriage infringes upon gay rights? I am 100% absolutely correct. A legal binding between two people, to have the same rights as heterosexual couples. Something isn't incorrect because "you say so".
"I didn't say you did. AGW == anthropogenic global warming. Look it up. And no, she didn't deny it, you're lying"
She DENIED man's contribution to it. That's a fact. "I'm not one though who would attribute it to being man-made" - Palin
Yes, you are not incorrect because I say so. Nor is it a RIGHT because you say so. It's not.
And you are simply wrong about Palin and AGW. Saying she does not attribute it to man is not the same as saying man didn't do it. This is simple logic. If someone asks me who won the ball game tonight and I say, "I won't say it was the Red Sox," does that mean I am saying it wasn't the Red Sox? Of course not.
We do not know that man has caused significant GW. She simply stated that fact.
In the Bible, God instituted marriage between a man and a woman. So what's the big deal in stating that marriage is not for homosexuals? I would think that the "gay" world would want to run from marriage as fast as they can, since God considers homosexuality a sin, and He was the one who instituted marriage.
Marriage is a legal relationship between too people that goes beyond the scope of the church. Hence, "civil weddings". If people want to have a civil wedding, who are you to stop them?
Actually you're wrong. What we've made marriage is not what it was originally intended to be. Who am I to stop them? If God is against two men marrying each other than I for sure am against it as well. I know I can't convince you that the values and morals expressed in the Bible are the way things should be, but, that's the way it should be. "Civil Unions" are contributing to the downfall of our country, therefore I am against it.
And furthermore, God is beyond the scope of any church. I never said anything about church. Think about how many churches there are that take their own interpretation of the Bible so that they can believe how they want. Picking and choosing isn't biblical however. And who are you to say that opposing gay marriage is being against gay rights? How about the right to life? I think that's far more important than whether or not two dudes should be able to marry each other legally.
How are civil unions contributing to the downfall of a country? If two gay people, women or men want to marry each other - then what's the big problem? Oh, I get it - a 2000 year old book, which has been re-written & mistranslated said so..
Anything that infringes upon civil rights is a downfall of any country. A few decades ago it was black people, now it's gay people.. Who else do you want to persecute? Live and let live. Give me reality over religion any day.
When you are standing in front of Him on judgement day, I sure hope your convictions carry you through. They won't, but I know I can't convince you of this. How can you compare a race of people to a lifestyle anyway?
As for reality, well the reality is that you are lost. If you don't "come to Jesus" this whole life of yours will be wasted. I suggest you read the Bible rather than just trash it. Prayin' for ya brother.
I've read the bible. I was brought up in a Roman Catholic family. I chose to not believe in the nonsense printed in it.
Secondly - I compare the civil rights cases of homosexuals and black people because, neither have a choice. Black people are born black, and homosexuals don't choose to be homosexual. So when you infringe upon the civil rights of homosexuals, then it's the same as infringing upon the civil rights of anyone else who does not choose their arbitrary trait. Colour, sexuality, etc
even if you believe God is against homosexual marriage, you can't force anyone else to believe in God the way you do. That's why you can't use religion or God as justification for law.
I have to disagree with you if you think the majority of Americans are like Sarah Palin!!!! I don't think most Americans are as close minded as she is,at least I hope they aren't.Killing defenseless animals while hanging out of an airplane and not believing in a safe abortion (in the case of rape) are not the beliefs of most of us.
Okay. She doesn't believe in evolution. You can't get more closeminded than that. She doesn't think a woman should be allowed to get a legal abortion,EVER.But oh,yeah,God forbid if someone tries to take away her shotgun. Then all hell would break loose.
She -- like most people -- is not a scientist, she admits she doesn't know what happened, so she says she doesn't know. Admitting you don't know something makes you "closed-minded?" Can you explain why you believe in evolution?
"She doesn't think a woman should be allowed to get a legal abortion"
Wow. So disagreeing with you on a moral issue makes someone closed-minded? That is an extremely closed-minded thing for you to express.
Oh and i bet palin would be able to have alot better talks with putin and world leaders than biden, he would not look quite as good in a dress, and seeing as you Mr damon and your boy clooney attended strip clubs so much you should know the poweer of a woman..you sure payed enuff for thier time lol.
seanoasshobrian- how about we turn that around, how can people worry about hunting a damn animal yet not care about killing innocent baby's through abortion..and on her war statement you mental midget, she was saying God's will be done not it is God's will for us to win or fight for a holy war..you demwitcrats crack me up, you jump all over a woman who has did nothing wrong, yet back some ass who's list of friend's make John Gotti's look like angel's -Obama's BOYS wright faracon ayers .
SeanO,you are very wise.People would be smart to watch your video and get involved.Sarah Palin is BAD NEWS.Please, everyone, get out there and get involved with your local goverment.Oh,and btw I'm a chick, not a dude. But no worries,I'm with you all the way.
ryancat: "lying" is wise? Because that is what SeanO and Matt Damon are doing. I've already proven this.
"Sarah Palin is BAD NEWS."
Then a MAJORITY of this country is "bad news," because she is just like the majority of this country. How can anyone be so hateful toward their fellow citizens?
"Please, everyone, get out there and get involved with your local goverment"
what is a "gay" right? A right is a right. It is not gay. Rights are inalienable, meaning we're born with them. The government doesn't give them to us. They aren't granted specifically to groups as collectivists like to say. They just are. It's absurd to define a right by race, sexual preference, etc. We all have the same rights.
None of what you said is remotely true, except that she is cute.
You really don't have any idea what you're talking about. But I'll humor you: tell me what abour her is stuck in the ideologies of the 1500s. I defy you.
Firstly, she opposes gay rights. That is reminiscent on old and outdated ideologies. It shouldn't matter what sexual orientation someone is. Secondly, she denies the contribution man has made to climate change, despite the overwhelming evidence proving it. She claimed that the soldiers in Iraq were apart of "God's plan". That same nonsense is use by terrorists like Al Qaeda. And for a woman who is pro-life, she sure has no problem putting a bullet in the head of animals.
I'd expand on all of the previous points, and then some - but youtube only allows so many characters. You'll find that my original assessment of Palin was correct. She's cute, but an idiot. Now on your bike.
Opposing gay marriage is an infringement on gay rights. As for Obama, I'm not here to argue for him. I don't support him either.
I didn't say she denied climate change. I said she denied the contributions man has made to it. Which is ridiculous, when 99% of climatologists/geologists state that man is a huge contributor to it.
Do you not see the correlation between stating that the illegal invasion of Iraq was apart of God's plan and Al Qaeda stating that it's war against the US was too?
Also - I'm aware that some people don't have a problem with hunting. That wasn't my point. My point was that it's a contradiction for someone to hold such a high moral pro-life stance, but to have no problems with hunting animals for amusement. If you can't see the fallacy in that, then you're as stupid as her.
"My point was that it's a contradiction for someone to hold such a high moral pro-life stance, but to have no problems with hunting animals for amusement. If you can't see the fallacy in that, then you're as stupid as her."
Anyone who draws a moral equivalency between animals and humans is the stupid one.
Actors are people and are entitled to their opinion as much as we are. I mean, if you work at McDonald's it's not like all you are allowed to talk about is McDonald's. Freedom of speech is the First Amendment.
Where he falsely implied Palin is a Young Earth Creationist?
Where he displayed his ignorance about how actuarial tables are used (they do not, in fact, predict likely lifespans of individuals)?
Where he said less than two years as governor and being a small-town mayor is insufficient, but being a Senator for less than two years (at the time Damon came out to support Obama) and a state legislator is fine?
Um. So where he made up things about Palin in order to try to make her look like a moron, he "nailed" that? So lying is "nailing" something?
And yes, I support Palin. It's sad that you're so blinded by your own biases you think that's unreasonable.
I could easily say that I can't see how anyone could listen to Obama and think him suited for President, but I am not closed-minded enough to say that.
I don't give two dead flys about what Damon actually said, it was amusing, and I agree with his attitudes on Palin, but I don't base my opinion on his words. He does, however, seem to realize Palin is ill-suited to be V.P. I agree. I base that opinion on what I have seen and heard coming out of her own mouth, nothing more. Why don't you inform everyone of what my biases are; you obviously derive a lot out of everything I haven't actually said, which does, ironically, say something about you.
He did nail it. That you can't glean the point he is making, demonstrates your lack of cerebral ability.
What are her attitudes on religion?
Is McCain near the end of his life?
Did she try to ban books?
These are questions he is raising. Rightfully so.
"Then you're as stupid as he is"........classic republican tactic; don't agree with someone? Go with the Ad Hominem fallacy. Thank you, with that I can factually verify you're a moron. I wouldn't have speculated prior.
Ok so you owned this guy, but take a look at his other videos (terrible!) and decide whether you've chosen your battles wisely. This pudgenet dude is a bozo.
1) According Matt Damon's statement, anyone who believes that God created the Earth should not be in a position of leadership. Why is that?
2) Second, Matt is obviously an Obama supporter. Yet he cites a characteristic that Palin arguably shares with Obama to discredit her: inexperience.
3) Matt Damon does not appear to have any idea of what Palin's political views are beyond being a Christian. But that looks like enough for him to dislike her.
Um. If you believe that what Damon said was reasonable, even though it was, in fact, a series of logical fallacies, then how can your opinion be meaningful?
Now, if someone were to say, "yes, Damon made illogical claims, but I still think she would be a terrible VP," that would be one thing. But your opinion, seeing as how you believe Damon wasn't being an idiot, means nothing.
Know what? You're simply not worthy arquing with. Your mind is already made up no matter what. Wait 4 more years and try to get her ellected. Make sure she will run again :)

Shrug. You've not offered a rational argument against religion, and neither has Dawkins.

You said she DENIED that man causes global warming. SHE DID NOT.
Further, you said that every climatologist and geologist says man causes global warming, which is also a lie. Further, not even the IPCC itself says that it is a fact that man causes significant global warming.
pudgenet 3 years ago
"The war on Iraq was illegal. It had no UN mandate."
False. There is no legal obligation to get UN approval before using force.
"Stating that the war on Iraq is God's plan is just as nutty ..."
Um, actually I did answer that. You apparently can't read. I'll say it again: there is nothing whatsoever wrong with believing that everything is part of God's plan. You are incredibly stupid. Try reading a book or something.
pudgenet 3 years ago
How the fuck am I incorrect by stating the opposition to gay marriage infringes upon gay rights? I am 100% absolutely correct. A legal binding between two people, to have the same rights as heterosexual couples. Something isn't incorrect because "you say so".
"I didn't say you did. AGW == anthropogenic global warming. Look it up. And no, she didn't deny it, you're lying"
She DENIED man's contribution to it. That's a fact. "I'm not one though who would attribute it to being man-made" - Palin
SeanOBriain 3 years ago
Yes, you are not incorrect because I say so. Nor is it a RIGHT because you say so. It's not.
And you are simply wrong about Palin and AGW. Saying she does not attribute it to man is not the same as saying man didn't do it. This is simple logic. If someone asks me who won the ball game tonight and I say, "I won't say it was the Red Sox," does that mean I am saying it wasn't the Red Sox? Of course not.
We do not know that man has caused significant GW. She simply stated that fact.
pudgenet 3 years ago
In the Bible, God instituted marriage between a man and a woman. So what's the big deal in stating that marriage is not for homosexuals? I would think that the "gay" world would want to run from marriage as fast as they can, since God considers homosexuality a sin, and He was the one who instituted marriage.
usermanname 3 years ago
Marriage is a legal relationship between too people that goes beyond the scope of the church. Hence, "civil weddings". If people want to have a civil wedding, who are you to stop them?
SeanOBriain 3 years ago 2
Actually you're wrong. What we've made marriage is not what it was originally intended to be. Who am I to stop them? If God is against two men marrying each other than I for sure am against it as well. I know I can't convince you that the values and morals expressed in the Bible are the way things should be, but, that's the way it should be. "Civil Unions" are contributing to the downfall of our country, therefore I am against it.
usermanname 3 years ago
And furthermore, God is beyond the scope of any church. I never said anything about church. Think about how many churches there are that take their own interpretation of the Bible so that they can believe how they want. Picking and choosing isn't biblical however. And who are you to say that opposing gay marriage is being against gay rights? How about the right to life? I think that's far more important than whether or not two dudes should be able to marry each other legally.
usermanname 3 years ago
How are civil unions contributing to the downfall of a country? If two gay people, women or men want to marry each other - then what's the big problem? Oh, I get it - a 2000 year old book, which has been re-written & mistranslated said so..
Anything that infringes upon civil rights is a downfall of any country. A few decades ago it was black people, now it's gay people.. Who else do you want to persecute? Live and let live. Give me reality over religion any day.
PS: God does not exist.
SeanOBriain 3 years ago 2
When you are standing in front of Him on judgement day, I sure hope your convictions carry you through. They won't, but I know I can't convince you of this. How can you compare a race of people to a lifestyle anyway?
As for reality, well the reality is that you are lost. If you don't "come to Jesus" this whole life of yours will be wasted. I suggest you read the Bible rather than just trash it. Prayin' for ya brother.
usermanname 3 years ago
I've read the bible. I was brought up in a Roman Catholic family. I chose to not believe in the nonsense printed in it.
Secondly - I compare the civil rights cases of homosexuals and black people because, neither have a choice. Black people are born black, and homosexuals don't choose to be homosexual. So when you infringe upon the civil rights of homosexuals, then it's the same as infringing upon the civil rights of anyone else who does not choose their arbitrary trait. Colour, sexuality, etc
SeanOBriain 3 years ago
even if you believe God is against homosexual marriage, you can't force anyone else to believe in God the way you do. That's why you can't use religion or God as justification for law.

I have to disagree with you if you think the majority of Americans are like Sarah Palin!!!! I don't think most Americans are as close minded as she is,at least I hope they aren't.Killing defenseless animals while hanging out of an airplane and not believing in a safe abortion (in the case of rape) are not the beliefs of most of us.
ryancat32145 3 years ago
ryancat32145:
Give me ONE example of Sarah Palin being closed-minded.
Just one.
YOU are the closed-minded one here, not her.
pudgenet 3 years ago
Okay. She doesn't believe in evolution. You can't get more closeminded than that. She doesn't think a woman should be allowed to get a legal abortion,EVER.But oh,yeah,God forbid if someone tries to take away her shotgun. Then all hell would break loose.
ryancat32145 3 years ago 2
"She doesn't believe in evolution"
She -- like most people -- is not a scientist, she admits she doesn't know what happened, so she says she doesn't know. Admitting you don't know something makes you "closed-minded?" Can you explain why you believe in evolution?
"She doesn't think a woman should be allowed to get a legal abortion"
Wow. So disagreeing with you on a moral issue makes someone closed-minded? That is an extremely closed-minded thing for you to express.
pudgenet 3 years ago
Oh and i bet palin would be able to have alot better talks with putin and world leaders than biden, he would not look quite as good in a dress, and seeing as you Mr damon and your boy clooney attended strip clubs so much you should know the poweer of a woman..you sure payed enuff for thier time lol.
dman374 3 years ago
I highly doubt that Matt Damom or George Clooney ever had to pay for a woman, period.

That's cause there's plenty of stupid women out there who are willing to do whatever they can for fame.

seanoasshobrian- how about we turn that around, how can people worry about hunting a damn animal yet not care about killing innocent baby's through abortion..and on her war statement you mental midget, she was saying God's will be done not it is God's will for us to win or fight for a holy war..you demwitcrats crack me up, you jump all over a woman who has did nothing wrong, yet back some ass who's list of friend's make John Gotti's look like angel's -Obama's BOYS wright faracon ayers .

SeanO,you are very wise.People would be smart to watch your video and get involved.Sarah Palin is BAD NEWS.Please, everyone, get out there and get involved with your local goverment.Oh,and btw I'm a chick, not a dude. But no worries,I'm with you all the way.
ryancat32145 3 years ago
ryancat: "lying" is wise? Because that is what SeanO and Matt Damon are doing. I've already proven this.
"Sarah Palin is BAD NEWS."
Then a MAJORITY of this country is "bad news," because she is just like the majority of this country. How can anyone be so hateful toward their fellow citizens?
"Please, everyone, get out there and get involved with your local goverment"
I do.
pudgenet 3 years ago
what is a "gay" right? A right is a right. It is not gay. Rights are inalienable, meaning we're born with them. The government doesn't give them to us. They aren't granted specifically to groups as collectivists like to say. They just are. It's absurd to define a right by race, sexual preference, etc. We all have the same rights.
CaptTofu 3 years ago
Palin is an idiot. Damon is a better candidate than her.
SeanOBriain 3 years ago
You're an idiot, so how would YOU know? Srsly!
pudgenet 3 years ago
LOL.. Boo hoo. Palin is cute, but that's the extent of her qualities go. She's a fucking nutjob, stuck back in the ideologies of the 1500's.
SeanOBriain 3 years ago
None of what you said is remotely true, except that she is cute.
You really don't have any idea what you're talking about. But I'll humor you: tell me what abour her is stuck in the ideologies of the 1500s. I defy you.
pudgenet 3 years ago
Sure, no problem.
SeanOBriain 3 years ago
I'd expand on all of the previous points, and then some - but youtube only allows so many characters. You'll find that my original assessment of Palin was correct. She's cute, but an idiot. Now on your bike.
SeanOBriain 3 years ago
She does not oppose gay rights, in fact. She does oppose gay MARRIAGE, just like Obama does.
She does not deny AGW, she simply doesn't claim it is fact ... just like the UN IPCC doesn't.
She says EVERYTHING is part of God's plan, just like the overwhelming majority of Americans, including Obama.
And yes, most people have no problem with hunting ... including Obama.
So ... you are really terrible at this.
pudgenet 3 years ago
no,they aren't.Wake up and smell the coffee.
ryancat32145 3 years ago
"they" aren't what?
pudgenet 3 years ago
Opposing gay marriage is an infringement on gay rights. As for Obama, I'm not here to argue for him. I don't support him either.
I didn't say she denied climate change. I said she denied the contributions man has made to it. Which is ridiculous, when 99% of climatologists/geologists state that man is a huge contributor to it.
Do you not see the correlation between stating that the illegal invasion of Iraq was apart of God's plan and Al Qaeda stating that it's war against the US was too?
SeanOBriain 3 years ago
"Opposing gay marriage is an infringement on gay rights"
Incorrect.
"I didn't say she denied climate change"
I didn't say you did. AGW == anthropogenic global warming. Look it up. And no, she didn't deny it, you're lying.
"Do you not see the correlation between stating that the illegal invasion of Iraq was apart of God's plan ..."
It wasn't illegal. You're lying. And she says EVERYTHING is part of God's plan, just like Obama, so no, that is not exceptional at all.
pudgenet 3 years ago
Also - I'm aware that some people don't have a problem with hunting. That wasn't my point. My point was that it's a contradiction for someone to hold such a high moral pro-life stance, but to have no problems with hunting animals for amusement. If you can't see the fallacy in that, then you're as stupid as her.
SeanOBriain 3 years ago
"My point was that it's a contradiction for someone to hold such a high moral pro-life stance, but to have no problems with hunting animals for amusement. If you can't see the fallacy in that, then you're as stupid as her."
Anyone who draws a moral equivalency between animals and humans is the stupid one.
(Ahem, that would be you.)

yewbark 3 years ago
Just curious, which part did he nail?
Where he falsely implied Palin is a Young Earth Creationist?
Where he displayed his ignorance about how actuarial tables are used (they do not, in fact, predict likely lifespans of individuals)?
Where he said less than two years as governor and being a small-town mayor is insufficient, but being a Senator for less than two years (at the time Damon came out to support Obama) and a state legislator is fine?
Matt Damon is an idiot who made idiotic points.
pudgenet 3 years ago
The part where he implies Palin is a moron; THAT part. Only in the context of a V.P. candidate, I'm sure she'd be a fine neighbor.
Just curious, you support Palin? That I would find fascinating; how anyone could watch her in action and think her suited for V.P.
Yikes!
yewbark 3 years ago
Um. So where he made up things about Palin in order to try to make her look like a moron, he "nailed" that? So lying is "nailing" something?
And yes, I support Palin. It's sad that you're so blinded by your own biases you think that's unreasonable.
I could easily say that I can't see how anyone could listen to Obama and think him suited for President, but I am not closed-minded enough to say that.
pudgenet 3 years ago
I don't give two dead flys about what Damon actually said, it was amusing, and I agree with his attitudes on Palin, but I don't base my opinion on his words. He does, however, seem to realize Palin is ill-suited to be V.P. I agree. I base that opinion on what I have seen and heard coming out of her own mouth, nothing more. Why don't you inform everyone of what my biases are; you obviously derive a lot out of everything I haven't actually said, which does, ironically, say something about you.
yewbark 3 years ago
"I don't give two dead flys about what Damon actually said"
So when you said he nailed it, you didn't mean it.
So why should I care about anything else you say?
"I agree with his attitudes on Palin"
Then you're as stupid as he is.
pudgenet 3 years ago
He did nail it. That you can't glean the point he is making, demonstrates your lack of cerebral ability.
What are her attitudes on religion?
Is McCain near the end of his life?
Did she try to ban books?
These are questions he is raising. Rightfully so.
"Then you're as stupid as he is"........classic republican tactic; don't agree with someone? Go with the Ad Hominem fallacy. Thank you, with that I can factually verify you're a moron. I wouldn't have speculated prior.
yewbark 3 years ago
So first you said he nailed it, then you said you don't care what he said, and now you say he nailed it again. Make up your mind.
"What are her attitudes on religion?" No different than most Americans.
"Is McCain near the end of his life?" Not within a few years, no, by all that we know about his health, which is a lot.
"Did she try to ban books?" Absolutely not.
"Go with the Ad Hominem fallacy." Um, YOU did that first.

3) Team America = Excellent Movie
parcelbombsmurf 3 years ago
1) Not quite, he meant anyone who is a Young Earth Creationist ... which Palin has never even hinted that she is.
2) Yep.

What's nutty about it? Nutties are the statements she puts together about anything in politics. She's damn stupid.
Other than the dinosaur think, I would sign off everything else he said.

You would sign off on his ad hominems, red herrings, and other logical fallacies? Huh. I wouldn't brag about that, were I you.
pudgenet 3 years ago
I don't have to agree with everything he says. About her, in this video, yes I do.
Santarem70 3 years ago
OK. Then you're as irrational as he is. Everything he said was a logical fallacy.
pudgenet 3 years ago
And you are stupid for thinking that lady can be your vice-president, or worse, your president. You're a shame for your country.
Santarem70 3 years ago
