Low C is essentaily CGDGAD

Start by tuning your sixth string down two full tones to C.

Then tune your fifth string down a tone to G. Check the tuning with the third (G) string.

Next, tune your second string down a tone to A. Check with the second fret of your third string.

Lastly, tune your first string down a tone to D. Check with the open fourth string (D).

I agree, Ovations are pieces of trash! save up and buy a rainsong if your gonna go the composite route. At least those have a nice tone to them and are comfortable to play.

I admit that this version sounds much better than the ovation one, but Ovations have their place. It's hard to find a decent one due to the amount of different manufacturers. Adamas Ovations which are used Preston Reed are very good instruments, but come with the hefty price. You can buy cheaper Ovations made with cheap materials, and yeah they are going to suck. The quality of any guitar is highly depending on the manufacturer and craftsmen though not just the price tag.
