  • when in the cockpit in the first part.....were you using a helmet cam or just a passenger

  • Simply awesome. Thanks for posting these great videos.

  • Awesome piloting, Im half way to getting my license and cant wait to get out of the R-22 and into something this nice

  • Helicopter training is just so expensive, in Australia its round about $27k for a personal license and $47k for a commercial license, i've been a sparky for 12 years and really need a career change, i really want to become a pilot but i just can't convince myself enough that there is a guaranteed job out there for me once i have finished and invested all this money in training.

  • What is this tune??

  • I wanna do that!!! I just need the money to finish my helicopter training. donations please.

  • @rosscobosco, Be warned it is a VERY long hard road!, VERY!, if you would like some advice, feel free to message me, I'm always happy to help if I can,

    Cheers

  • I wanna do that!!! I just need the money to finish my helicopter training.

  • это просто изумительно

  • Awesomeness just kicked in

  • i didnt think water and eletricity misex but i was proved wrong!!!

  • How does the turbine get put into Run after all the technicians have left?

  • @1unitedfan, Remote control shutdown clutch and gear lock, just release, the wind does the rest.

  • what a great job

  • Aonde ficam essas turbinas? Em qual país?

  • @vanio77

    Ficam no reino unido.

  • Consigo ver no google earth?

  • I was leader on all safety training and safety planning on this project, for Vestas

    My best job ever ;-)

  • This makes me want to upgrade to rotorcraft. That is so F#*king wicked. *66*

  • Cool vid! Thanks for making and sharing it! ... Why do they have a big net on the landing area? I've noticed it done on ships. Traction? I'd be afraid of hooking a strut.

  • @LarryCanFly , Yep traction !, in the marine environment you get salt deposits that are really slippery, along with the general moisture.

If you look closely the skids are turned up at each end to stop hooking in.

During power off landings you actually slide along the ground ! , so they are pretty good at not hooking in ! , but it scares the shit out of you the first time ! ;)

  • meraviglia!

    Samantha

  • that's some pretty good hovering considering the wind!!!

  • @lukeallen , As long as the wind is steady and from the same direction it actually makes it easier to hover, from the aircrafts position its actaully in forwards flight not hover (transitional lift) so you use far less fuel and have the engines on a lower power setting, so less wear, the more wind the better as long as its steady. ;)

  • ...Simply Bueatiful.. this Video !!! & Song

  • Some of the nicest flying ive EVER seen...cudos to the Pilot!!

  • wow I never seen this out at sea I'd love to see a doco on how they did it

  • how do they get the turbine to stop spinning while theyre working on the platform?

  • @bearcat8543 They pitch the blades out of the wind and apply the brakes.

  • Beautiful Job, great video.

  • EC-135 is elegant

  • @cliffsoar , Fantastic aircraft, very safe, however the first one we had here had the occational glitch in the instrumentation software, the Pilot would "re boot" during flight and that would always solve the problem, any super sophisticated machine will have moments of RAM seizure. For SAR work they are brilliant.

  • @1BustedMyth You never told us when we were on the 'bus'! :-)

  • this is siiiick! dude my favorite youtube video

  • looks like a fun plioting job.

  • why do they use the trailer landing platform for the helicopter to land on at the end of the video instead of using the concrete pad ?

is it for anti-static shielding or something ?

  • It's propably the last flight of the day. They use the platform and the little tractor to move the helicopter inside the hanger.

  • @hearttobefelt They can be wheeled into the hanger easily that way for storage/maint at the end of the day.

  • wow... i like this kinda job man... where is this?

  • Horns Reef

    Denmark

    Google it .....

  • why are there wind turbines in the water?

  • REALLY... you just had to ask...

  • Because there is space and a lot of wind.

  • OFFSHORE RULES!!!

  • Where did you go for you offshore wind tech training?

  • Vestas & NUTEC

  • I would do anything to get work out there!!!! Getting bored of the united states.... bad ass vid! thanks

  • Fantastic! how could you not love your job!

  • Nice vid. Very well done.

  • what ps3 game is this from?

  • Chrimson Skies :P

  • simply awesome.

  • luv the music

  • Excelent job.

  • cool

  • Now THIS is where wind mill farms belong! NOT in small tight nitched communities. Great flying by the way.!

  • I am a police pilot and am fortunate to fly the Agusta A119 Koala and Astar B3 for patrol duties. We fly tight fast orbits over the bad guys and its fun... no doubt, but I would love the chance to fly a different mission once in a while. This is a neat example of a nice change of pace that takes skill as well. Very Cool!

  • As a commercial Helicopter Pilot and

Teddy Fan I loved it. Thanks. G.C.G.

  • I wouldn't mind a job like this.

  • where are these turbines located at?

  • sorry I accidently marked you as spam. I meant luvmoneys here below you

  • these guys got a good ass job.

  • that's true.

  • interesting day a the "office"...VERY COOL JOB GUYS...AND THE PILOT...WELL , INSANE!!!

  • Love it! Cheers me up no end after a crap day of reading cpl(h) books!

    Whats the song?

  • Hey

Great vid. Looks like an interesting job for a pilot. I think there will some more jobs like that in the future in Germany, Netherlands and Denmark.

By the way, what`s the name of the song?

    muermel

  • wow nice vid bud

  • can i get a job there looks like fun

  • It is.

    It's from Horns Reef - 80xVestas V80 2MW all equipped with a helihoist platform.

That's (almost) an every day occurence for the service technicians doing maintennance.

    I've tried it - it's a thrill.

  • Awesome,I believe its in Denmark!!!
