The officer corps of the American Armed Forces is in a terrible disorganized state. Proper training for all hands has gone by the boards.
We are involved in several Wars of Aggression and crime is going on all over the place. Officers on record either don't know what they are looking at, or they are complicit. Procurement criminals in pentagon are plundering the place for trillions.
P8 is not a replacement, it is a corporation crime-in-progress.
When I was in Uncle Sam's Canoe club we lost a P-3 in Adak, Ak due to engine over run and fire. Ditched at sea and lost several crew members due to hypothermia waiting on rescue.Picked up by trawler and off to Russia.
Easy as you like- wait til you have a double asymmetric engine out while 1000nm from the nearest airport (which happens to be a coral atoll with no RFF in the middle of the Pacific Ocean). Now that's sporting... A week of cocktails while waiting for maintenance support helps deal with it though!
Nice one, Bad X though. We had to E-handle No#2 a few months back with No#1 loitered at the time. Interesting experiance to say the least...Got a nice pretty picture of both 1 and 2 perfectly loitered before the restart of 1 however :)
An expert IFR 3-wire landing.
What is with the blabbermouth, "it's not supposed to be like that?"

@centurion180ad What's with the commenting on every single P-3 video I uploaded about Ensign land this and nothing intelligible?

Thought it was Kef at first, but it's definitely Brunswick... you can see Old Bath Rd. right before the runway.

Is a three engine landing really an emergency?
petersonjd1974 3 years ago
Yep... had that happen to me too. Same engine, but I was over the Potomac River though.
