The one year anniversary of my dear little bunnys passing is coming up. She was such a good little girl who tried so hard. I tried to make everything perfect for her but somehow she went anyway. Something broke her heart. I asked God to bring her back but He wouldnt. So every day I just go on. I have more bunnies now. They are so sweet but nothing can replace my little princess and all the hopes we had.

At 2.40 he played the same arpeggio (G major) in the left hand when it should be the C major in the left hand. Just noticed it, I've played this piece virtually hundreds of times, and I just heard the small error. (No offence intended, I make more mistakes than him!)

You're almost right. Winnaretta Eugenie Singer was the woman Edmond married, dubbed the 'Princesse de Polignac'. She WAS Ravel's patron and he dedicated this work to her :) Everyone else FYI, the only potential real-life inspiration cited was the death of Margaret Theresa of Spain, wayyy before Ravel's time.

Ravel did write this. For piano. It says so in my sheet music for it. "Pavane pour une Infante Defunte" can either mean "Song for a Dead Princess" or "Song for a Dead Infant." According to my orchestra teacher, he wrote it when a king's baby daughter died. He wrote it for her funeral.

According to my sheet music, he was quite upset about over-dramatic interpretations of it. He said, "I have written a Pavane for a dead princess, not a dead pavane for a princess," or something like that.

Yes, something like that. But, in my honest opinion, this performance isn't even that. It is a dead princess over a mutilated pavane. But, this is only purely subjective opinion. No use arguing over mutilations. So let us be friends. By the way, I never knew Ravel wrote the work because a king's baby died.
