  • of all the cars in the world an MX-5 seriously

  • good thing the wipers were on

  • What an idiot, guy in the Zafira (MPV) showing off driving too fast..... He was trying to outrun the bow wave....

  • You gotta have balls to drive through that in an MX-5 !

  • speed kills...

  • Good ridance

  • @boscoesarmy The Ford Galaxy would definitely manage to get through, because it is one of the best cars in the UK, but the Zafira was a straight fail because its a shit car.

  • I hydrolocked my car once in a flash flood. Didn't even know I was driving into such deep water since I couldn't see. Funny thing is my car kept running, albeit making the world worst noise. $2100 later, it's fixed.

  • Has to be a sweet (but lovely clumsy) lady. No alternative.

  • If i had to make a bet at the start I would have said the Ford Galaxy / Vauxhall Zafira ? would have been the one to get through. I would have expected that little sports mazda to definetely have failed. It just demonstartes the correct way to do it. Don't try and plough through and create a wave to swamp the engine.

  • highrpm low speed

  • I love how drivers from around the world are attracted by a street flooded. They just drive in thinking it cannot be deeper than 6 inches...and there ya go. Them make priceless vids.

  • whats with everyone calling the zafira a "van" its a fuckin people carrier or mpv!!

  • FAIL

  • The guy / woman (probably woman) in the van is so incredibly stupid.

  • After I stalled my car in water all I gad to do was jump it it started after a few times and it still runs

  • @willrep420 the water must not have got in the engine, if so you would not have started it as water does not compress causing bent valves even conrods too.

  • hydrolocked!!! muahahahah

  • You just have to take it slow.

  • why get out? second gear and turn starter motor to get out of water! simple!

  • how a mazda miata get threw u getting stuck with a van lls

  • Oh relax, the water radiator, air con, and air filter prevent water getting into the cylinder. it will be the spark plug system that got wet.

  • I was in a convoy of cars a few months back when a main highway was flooded by rain and tides. My little cavelier had water coming in all the doors but somehow made it through :D! Even passed a stalled crown vic.

  • Too Fast.

  • Hydrolock....Game over

  • ouu almost made it too

  • soooo is the car done or what

  • LMAO

Mother fucker gulped that water down like he was thirsty.

  • The best speed for deep floodwater is about walking pace.

  • this is weird. the low sports car the MX-5 makes it and the much bigger people carrier didnt. thats odd.

  • @ShanesAutos he was going too fast, and as others here say, he caused a bow wave which went so high that it went up into the air intake (directly behind the grill... that's what the grills are for to allow air to be sucked in for the fuelair mix) and slurped the water in great quantity into the combustion chamber. Game over. Engines can't compress a chamber full of water. Often it buckles the cylinder head in the process too. Expensive repair. He may too have made it if he had gone much slower.

  • I knew that van was suck in a good gulp of flood water

  • thats what u get for not having an american car

  • Water got into intake. Haha

  • so THATS what it means to have a flooded engine

  • brave little mazda

  • To much water in the dizzy

  • @xXxLuke97xXx or gone through the air intake and hydro-locked?

  • Awesome... Where is the 2nd Part ???

  • Gf engine :DDD

  • Bahahaha, how dumb can you get :s

  • oops its dead mwahah

  • It was the Zafira driver who went too fast and swamped their own car, why am I not surprised? Oh yeh, because you have to be an IDIOT to buy that car.

  • 0:29. Nice day to own a conertable

  • The Zafira has stopped simply because he went too hard and entered the water in the suction filter to end up inside the engine!

  • hmmm... try dat out on indian roads

  • bad Zafira.

  • OOOOHH BEND THOSE VALVES

  • sweet hydrolock bro

  • welp , guess ima take the boat home today : )

  • haha vauxhall reliability

  • you my friend just bent a rod!! lol

  • mujer seguro

  • slow down retards!!!

  • sometimes not only air intakes is a problem, alternator on low level will stop engine too

  • I thought that was a Ford Focus and a Mazda Miata...

  • MORORNS!!!

  • Hey was there some major issue with the Vauxhall Zafira because i remember them being sold in my country and then they all disappeared not long after.

  • Haha stupid driver of the van. You sped up and swamped your own vehicle. Learn about the bow wave. Dont go fast and dont go directly into oncoming water or it gets higher. Slow and steady and try to keep the water at an angle to your front and a trough will appear like the back of a wave. Or better yet get duct tape and rip out the ventalation behind your dryer, attach to intake and tape open end on roof.

  • @Sp33dyD3m0n there was no van

the closest thing to the van was the Zafira.

  • @Sp33dyD3m0n please stfu

    you are the idiot !

Anyone crossing this is will certainly damage their car.

Just take another route, its better to waste 1-2hours than wasting money at the garage and waiting countless hours ...

  • @davidn04 I'm an idiot? You are just a troll.

  • @Sp33dyD3m0n Troll?

Sorry but when I read your comment it was just too stupid that I had to comment.

Bow wave and duct tape the intake with a dryer ventilation in order to cross the flooded street...

Only dumb people cross flooded street you usually see on the side of the road wondering why they car won't start anymore...

  • @davidn04 Okay but here is the thing, if there is a flash flood and you need to get out and all roads are blocked, my way will work. Pull the intake from the air box, attach the flex-tubing from behind your dryer and tape the ends together and the other end to the roof. Sorry that you lack ingenuity, but this "idiot" has 2 patents at 23 years old so don't imply I cannot engineer a longer intake from shit around the house. And yes, a bow wave, watch the videos and you can see the bow wave.

  • @davidn04 two cars went through, no problem, the van just went too fast

  • @Sp33dyD3m0n or can drive backwards!

  • you drive an ugly car, ugly things happen.

  • NORMAl.. o carro parece um sapo mesmo kkk

  • thats what happens when disabled people and old people drive.

  • Where I live you never should drive through water like this, especially along a creek. The road my be washed away!

  • haha! now the driver has to do the walk of shame round to the bonnet with everyone watching. dead slow and keep it revving is the way to get through it

  • drive slower next time, so you don't create that big wave and get it sucked in by your air intake

  • idk if i would have drivin my jeep through that mess.

  • @winnabego

I would have. If you have a wrangler, or grand cherokee they have much more height clearance then these vehicles... Hell that Miata made it through lol. The problem with the van was that he was going way to fast. I knew he was going to get hydrolocked the moment i saw him starting to fly through... and thats exactly what happend.

  • @1ownjoo2 i have a '95 xj country in pristine cond with under 90k, il stick to puddles lol

  • @winnabego

Heh, i have a 98 ZJ 5.9 v8 with 120, and 98 zj 4.0 with 170k. Stock height i belive they are able to handle around 23 or so inchs of water before it even gets to the air intake, but you also have to worry about the breather on the transmission, and the differentials. Going through water that deep may not get you hydro locked but the axles will probably have water in them and you have to be carefull about the tranny.

  • ahahahahahah the zafira would have probably been O.K if he'd not gone so fast and built up such a bow wave! ahahaha nob end!

  • called hydrolock right?

  • Also can't be very good for the electrical systems in the cars.

  • who doesnt like a little hydro static lock

  • when you speed more than normal water waves dynamic goes up the hood rather than the right and left sides like a boat the water goes right and left side but believe me if the boat was designed to make the water goes uo it will sink.

    peace :)

  • chuck norris drank to much coffee

  • @AnimalLover201 wtf does chuck norris have to do with this???? your so lame

  • water doesn't compress all that well haha, never mind at least its another Vauxhall of the roads

  • why has he stopped in the water

  • @B0N0FAN flooded the engine when going too fast, the wave it made brought it high enough to go into the intake and into the engine... stalled out.

  • has he flooded the engine?

  • dumb fuck too fast yet the low little mada driver got away with it!

  • lol i would've just gone on the grass.........

  • Correction: When Cars and Water DO Mix!

  • god damn mexicans

  • wow my suburban would do fine in that

  • I kno im going to get a lot of comments saying im bs'ing, but i drove my VW thru a flooded street, it stalled and stood in the water for about 5 min until a tow truck pulled it out, engine was stuttering but a few days later the car was running. its been about a year since and no problems with the car. i have NO idea how it survived lol.

  • There'salways one who thinks they can do it faster...

  • Some people have no idea about right speed for bow waves (and some got it right).

Always check where your air intake is too. My Citroens have high intakes....and the Fords that we have had have all had high air intakes. The small humble Ford Fiesta (supermini) is very good at wading! Intake right up high behind the headlights and protected. Best place.

However some other cars suck the air right up from a few inches above ground.

Take a look and know where yours is...it maybe good to know.

  • so close

  • Only go thru a flooded area with a powerful truck that has a lift kit, about one and a half feet hi to two feet hi lift kit

  • @undisputedchamp1986 Doesnt that depend how deep the flood is?? Idiot.

  • Thats the whole point dope!

  • @worldchampion1986 ? Wait.. what? What is the "whole point"

  • @bigdog5986 Vauxhell= UK Opel

  • dumbass drive to fast watter get in to air filter He EPICLY FAILED

  • at least go 70 before hitting the watter hahaha

  • Why do people keep saying it's in Mexico? You can tell it's in the UK because of the number plates and the steering wheel being on the RIGHT side NOT the LEFT!!! Everyone who says it's in Mexico must be the dumbest people in the world!!!

  • @drakeaengland What do you mean America won again you twat?

  • They deserve it! especially that bumbass minivan

  • yea but the van was going faster than the first two

  • OWNED!!!!!

  • dope wit zafira

  • It's not water it's liquid nitrogen!

  • Go slow through deep water. So the wave doesn't wash over the bumper into the air intake. This should be taught in drivers education. Even better don't drive a car into deep water.

  • idiots flood water plus stupid drive = insurance write off lol

  • 1st 2 cars followed their own wake(wave) and were fine. last guy too fast and drove and overtook the wake. Slow and steady next time dumbass

  • lol the Vauxhall got stuck.

  • minicvn was driving to fast BAHAHAHAHAHAHa now what!!

  • Aquapwned!

  • OKAY. I PERSONALLY OWN A MAZDA MIATA AND I FIND THAT IF THE LITTLE SPORT COULD MAKE IT ANYBODY WITH ANY SENSE ABOUT THEM AT ALL SHOULD EASILY PROGRESS THROUGH. IDIOTS.

  • haha the little van that couldnt

  • That we little car mad it Dumn Ass Give it a little Gas or Blow it out your Ass see what goes faster

  • the zafira were driving too fast

  • he went in way too fast

  • would be ok if the dumb brod went slower.

  • too fast engine sucked water and R.I.P.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • She went to fast and water got into the intake and stalled her car

  • hahhahahhhahahahah

  • theres always some idiot that will drive through it.

  • t they are driving way to fast and creating waves ..

  • Zafiras, shite motors.

  • hmm, thats weird, my aunty did the same thing in a Zafira and had to get a new engine costing like £4000... well she is German

  • lol what a dumb ass... everbody knows that you have to slow down when you're going thorugh deep water like that. DUMB ASS

  • @MrChila86 not everyone,,hahaha,,maybe not if you dont own it haha,,had to be female haha,,i bet money on it

  • my thoughts exactly

  • Hydrolock!

  • if he had gone about 2 mph slower and caused bow wave in front there would have been no problem.

  • I had the same problem, done it to the tee keep the car going in order to keep the wave going on and off the clutch keeping high revs in order to stop water geeting in the engine, what they forgot to say was watch out for large pot holes in the road, the rav4 nearly sank

  • hahaha I love how stupid people like this are

  • HAHA hydraulic lock. Suck water into the engine... dosen't compress too well. Does bend connecting rods nicely

  • HaHa dumbass.

  • i bet it was water on the HT leads actually

  • it was not - miles more damage

  • serves him right for going too fast. what a cunt. just get some wd40 down the air intake usually works for me

  • I doubt that would have worked with a diesel engine, water cannot be combusted!

  • @Zorrosmart nor compressed which is why it does damage

  • @Zorrosmart Or compressed

  • @Zorrosmart Water cant go into most any Engine it gets into the intake and Stalls it. Most any EFI engine will not allow water past the injectors Since when gas gos through them it gets Vaporized Water can't make it through an Injector Since it can not be Changed into a gas form the injectors will simply leave a water bubble over it and not allow gas to get by and therefor the engine will not run.

  • @MrPenobe thats why the water gets into the air intake and goes into the engine... it does not go though the injectors lolz....that would involve the water getting into the gas tank...

  • @Tj1056 Yea you're right. i kind of went on to another topic lol. but water can still get into the Cylinders by going in the Intake and into the Lifters Possibly cracking your Cylinders or Lifters. Most cars get in into there intake and then try to start there car again and do a good amount of damage most of the time. you should stop right there and get the car towed or take out your Spark Plugs and Dry fire the engine to get the water out on the Cylinders and possibly dry the filter/Intake

  • @MrPenobe Ive seen a truck off road go though muddy water to fast and blew his engine with so much water up the intake... xD pretty bad I pulled him out also haha

  • @Tj1056 yea it happens lol. usually it will just stall it from hitting the filter and no air can get the the engine. yet if you try and start it under water it will suck it right up into the engine. if the car or truck has a shit ton of power or is just plan flooring it through shit like your saying then yea it will get past the filter and fuck you shit right up :P

  • @MrPenobe yup and go into the exhaust also... Ive gone though some deep shit tho and soaked my air filter truck kept running tho because its a BEAST!! xD

  • @djmattyh1 Seriously?! That does it?!

  • @djmattyh1 It won't work in this case. Too much water. I've seen it many times. His pistions and cylinders are one big wreck right now.

  • lol i would of gone like 50kmh in my 09 navigator and caused a title wave!!!!!

  • i have a ford focus 2006 and i go in a water like this and the water go inside the engine from the air intake and i need anew engine now

  • Go Focus!

That Zafira had to be driven by a woman didn't it. Tut tut.

  • water in the air intake is not that good!

  • plank

  • 1 or 2 bent con rods mate???

  • HAHAHAHA...stupid driver...

too fast...he catch his own wave.. :))

  • Ha ha XD idiot drove too fast sucked in too much water :P ha ha tard

  • that was a epec fail who would try that

  • how the fuck did a miata make it thro, the weigh next to nothing

  • american wins again (and mazda)

  • Where are these people, and WHY would they try to drive through flood waters? Don't they know how many people DIE every year doing that? NEVER a good idea!

  • If they had slowed down they would not have hyrolocked and stalled.

  • 0:53 too fast!!

  • at 0:53 you can tell the people r from mexico

  • They were from UK, I know spoke to them. Why would it be from mexico

  • Only Mexicans like doing that!

  • no you're mom also likes to get all wet and roll around in the mud. trust me I've seen her. don't be such a racist motherfucker.
