It states in the bible Man with Man and Women with Women is an abomination. A lot of ministers don't read the bible, they preach sermon's based on emotions and what there members share with them. Dr Stanley is one of the few pastors that use the bible as a guide for life. In which we as believers of Christ should be doing..that from the beginning God created man and woman as the help mate.Sodom and Gomore was burned up due to this kind of sin. Lean not on your own understanding
@nyegrant it also states im the Old Testament that it is an Abomination unto God to eat shell fish. The same Hebrew word is the same when "Abomination" is used for both the scripture you referred to and the scripture about not eating Shellfish.

I respect Charles Stanley as a person, but as a Minister myself, I disagree with his theological stance on homosexuality. I do not even believe homosexuality is a sin. It's a sexual orientation.

Abomination was used to describe eating shellfish, harvesting corners of a field, eating fruit from a young tree, sowing a field with mixed seeds (or eating food from a field where more than one type was planted), a physically disabled person being a priest, charging interest on a loan, collecting firewood on saturday, wearing clothing of mixed fabric.

Gay marriage wont lead to Dog marriage. Its not a slippery slope to rampant inter-species coupling. When women got the right to vote, it didn't lead to hamster voting. No court has extended the Equal Protection clause to Salmon.
This same preacher claims we are ALL engaged in SIN. Unfortunately some "sins" get a lot more focus than others. I think it's time the "church" turns its focus on gluttony.
@Larmarch5 If we put as much emphasis on gluttony as we do with homosexuality a LOT of pastors will be out of a job. Soon, there will be a pride parade for fat pastors.
