  • Nice Marty

  • someone just needs to bulldoze martin st louis, too bad he's like 5'7" or whatever so whoever is ballsy enough to hit him will probably only be able to hit him in the head which is now illegal.

  • @hockeyyismylife try catching up with him to do that hit... do you see him get hit a lot?

  • @hockeyyismylife Why should he get bulldozed? He's one of the most respected players in the league, dumbass

  • huge bruins fan. but i would love st. louie on the bruins

  • LOVE THIS GUY!! So underreated

  • Everyone says that Marty was to short thats why he was never drafted. But they were all wrong when he joined Tampa from Calgary. To me he is one of the best Hockeys players in history next to Wayne Gretzky

  • @Boltsfan35 I agree, Maybe not the best next to Wayne Gretzky, but right now I think he's the second best all-around player in the league right now next to Crosby.

  • A goal is a goal....especially in a shootout. But that shit was ugly.

  • @timmyboy1970 fans like you are a dime a dozen, you see hockey as only offense, that's why your comment only talked about Crosby's offense. That's because he doesn't know how to play defense. Being "on pace" for something is not doing it. Stamkos is a great player and he was "on pace" for almost 120 points this year at the all-star break and how did that turn out? But by all means, while Crosby is sitting at home with an ice pack let's talk about what he could have done.

  • @Ostrasize people have compared to him to some of the best ever since the first time he took the ice. Then they backtracked by saying Crosby is the best "young"' player ever but he's all offense (and Steven Stamkos had more goals before the age of 21 than Crosby did.) Crosby one of the best ever? Not even close.

  • @Slotholopolis Guys like you are a laugh. If you really want to be a 'hockey-minded' person then get rid of whatever bias you have and look at the stats. Before his injury this year, Crosby was on pace for the best offensive season in 20 years - have a look where he ended up in the final stats this year knowing he stopped playing on January 5. I love both players (Stamkos, Crosby). Why say ridiculous shit about him being over-rated?

Analyze - Stamkos 1st 3 seasons vs Crosbys then discuss.

  • Are you kidding? The reason Stamkos had more goals at 21 is because Crosby was primarily a playmaker. And with the way Crosby produces offensively, I wouldn't even care if he sucked defensively - but Crosby plays a very solid game defensively and is always improving.

  • lol everyone is stupid for calling marty a ypocrite...this was a smartplay. to have scoerd it it was neccessary for him to turn...it was a genius move so everyone stfu

  • @Ovechkin81 unpredictable shot? totally correct. Fleury one of the best? couldn't be more wrong. Most overrated goaltender in the league is more like it. He gets attention because he's on a team with the other most overrated players in the league, Sidney Crosby.

  • @Slotholopolis LOL HOW IS CROSBY OVERRATED? IM NOT EVEN A CROSBY FAN..

  • his back? more like his side and its not classless its tactics

  • Not as classless as the turds they call penguin fans

  • Two french canadiens fight off in a battle to the death... the short one wins

  • Absolutely classless.

  • classless

  • OMARK

  • Disrespectful

  • LOL wow..i have respect for St.Louis cause of the fact that he's had to overcome a lot of adversity to get where he is today...but..honestly..the remarks he made about Omark and his move being disrespectful and "too much"..i mean seriously? was he not thinking of this lil move he pulled...maybe someone should show him this and ask him what he feels..lightnings..i like you as a team..but mannn stop complaining

  • @Blade025 I think the difference is that Omark's spin had nothing to do with the goal...Marty going backwards on this one was really the key reason the puck went in because Fleury wasn't expecting him to shoot like that.

  • @ownwar8 yah but i felt they over reacted and blew it out of proportion...i mean what he did really wasnt that big of a deal..and for St. Louis to criticize and say that it was flashy was hypocritical..i mean it's a pretty bold move for someone to skate backwards while scoring a goal in a shootout..yah St. louis had a pretty crazy goal but they shouldnt have made what Omark did sound like he disrespected the entire league..that's my problem wit it

  • Omark. O awesome.

  • And this dirt bag had a problem with Omarks SO goal compared to this one give your head a shake!!!

  • @kza79 lol this was nothing like Omarks goal.... Omarks spin was completely unneccessary and classless. Only people who have never played hockey say that It was effective. Theres a thing real hockey players call that, and it's being a douchebag. Marty turning his back was part of the shot and it was the reason he scored. Oh, and calling the most respected player in the league and two time Lady Byng winner a 'dirtbag' make you look like a bandwagon pens fan who knows nothing about hockey.

  • @offtherock11 linus omark was having fun jackass.

  • What a whiner, pissing on Omark for his moves when this is the sort of thing he likes to pull. You can't tell me that Omarks spin move at center didn't get into the goalies head.

  • I guess he forgot he did this flashy style too lol

  • I'm not going to say anything about St. Louis move, but I'll definitely remember it.

  • and he shit on Omark for his shootout goal. what a hypocrite.

  • QQ, ohhh, i think someone needs to talk to St.Louis...seriously though, I hear sometimes less is more.

I think there are sour grapes...some cant (or wont) "try" for more.

  • pathetic that he was complaining after Omarks spin-a-rama shootout goal when he does this kind of stuff himself.

  • And St.Louis said Linus Omark's Shoot-out goal was disrespectful? puff, at least he didn't turn his back on the goalie......

  • freakin amazing... and i cant believe he went to the same highschool im going to right now

  • not even that amazing...

  • St.louis should be on the blues XD

  • @TheJason3816 i thought the same thing

  • It would be against Fleury wouldn't it... :(

  • I think His name is also pronounced mar- tan San- Loui if I'm wrong reply then

  • no you r right that is how u pronounce ot

  • I know how his name is pronounced but have u ever heard the lightning announcer or any other announcer when he makes an amazing goal?

  • Niklas Hagman of the Leafs scored a goal the same way in the shootout.

  • His name is pronounced Mart-e N St. Louie

  • The backhand is the most unpredictable shot to stop because until it comes off the stick the goalie has no idea where it'll go. Sure, it looked easy enough to save in hindsight, but St. Louis could have been putting it almost anywhere and Fleury has milliseconds to react.

Fleury is a professional (and one of the best), so don't try to pull of the 'I could have saved that sctick', because no, you couldn't have.

  • Yeah man. Fleury is amazing. I watched him play in Junior when I lived in Halifax, NS. Every time Cape Breton played the Mooseheads, it was a good game :P

FLEURY RULES! i hope he plays for team canada.

  • no way its either luongo or the probably best goalie of all time brodeur

  • Fleury has the best SV% for Canadian goalies right now and had a nine game winning streak? or eight, something like that. although fleury hasnt had the greatest international days, he has learned from his experience and he is confident from that stanley cup last year..

    thats my opinion

  • he also hays sidney crosby and evgeni malkin... i think that helps allitle

  • no, i think if you say that crosby and malkin have a lot of games won, that they have Fleury that helps them a little :P goaltenders win you games. Even though Crosby got his 3rd career hat-trick last night.. GO PENS

  • wtf he only has 3... thats not that good ov has 13...

  • @Ovechkin81

i wouldnt go so far as to say that Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is one of the best, but your right its not like st louis scoring on him makes him a bad goalie, backhands are just very difficult to predict

  • @Ovechkin81 Great point on the backhand. I totally agree with you.. He could have been going high or low.

  • @Ovechkin81 yup! not to mention the whole factor that noone had ever seen or practised goaltending for that sort of shot.

  • Anyone that said Marty st. Louis is too short to make it in the NHL was dead wrong he made it and proved himself to be one of the leagues top goal scorers and a great all around player.

  • @TBLightning12 yea his has been a great player for kis hight for many years

  • @TBLightning12 size does not matter :) Well most of the time

  • @TBLightning12 tell that to the flames who traded him

  • GOAL MARTAIN SAY LOUIE!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing goal to say the least, St. Louis is an amazing player

  • Lol St. Louis is so unpredictable

  • How does a goalie let that go in.

Its not even a good move.

That is why i watch it, too see how the goalie managed to not save such an ugly move.

  • sometimes fluery has a stick in his ass and is really inconsistent at times

  • I think it was alright..I dont think anybody in that building knew what st. louis was going to do.

  • hes so sick at his moves

  • Honestly who could not save that.

  • shoulda been poke checked

  • st.louis is my fave player and i dont think this is all that good of a goal but marty is the shit woooot

  • why do people like this goal so much? It sucks

  • agreed

  • nice goal by a good player.

  • coming from a flyers fan against the pens

  • haha, i didnt even say it cause of that. dont get me wrong i hate the pens. more so now as im sure you can imagine. st louis is just a good tough hockey player.

  • I love st. louis! lets go lightning

  • Hes my favourite player and you can see why

  • I agree.... An average player can score that goal... this should not have been a top 10 goal

  • As a Caps fan I will admit that Marty is one of my FAVORITE PLAYERS ever! His dedication and hard work since he was in college hockey to get himself to the pros is remarkable and he is a great contribution for the game.

  • I <3 Marty !

  • St. Louis is totally absolutely no doubt amazing:D

  • nice move

  • lol well he's changed it up. See that beauty on auld from ottawa, what a move.

  • Im a huge lightning fan... he never shouldve tried this again other teams would kno he would try this again and b ready for it... he tried and the goalie just layed down and stuffed him

  • imagine if he was 6.4, hed PWNS EVERYBODY, INCLUDING CROSBY,THORTHON AND VINNY LECAVALIER

  • ... OVECHKIN MALKIN AND CHARA HIMSELF

  • is he was 6'4 he wouldn't be so amazing he would just be like normal hockey players

  • he is already amazing, he's just a lil short...

  • he tried that yesterday at the allstar game, he didnt score though

  • LOL

  • Do looking to the Kim Hirschovits wawe. :D He have got a very same wawe as Martin St. Louis. But St. Louis is no consequently as Hirschovits.

  • sick

  • too bad marty stopped him

  • i coulda saved that and i only play midget A

  • i dont think so

  • lol your funny.

    i don't think so either.

  • haha, i saw him do that against the devils and missed. i laughed so hard. he

  • ROFL OWNED.

  • haha forget about respect! i was sure this video was one of his TURNSBACK move that he missed. . i was anxious to laugh again :P

    Martin cé le boss!!!

  • w0w

  • I go to all the Lightning games even though I live about 1 hour away from the St. Pete Times Forum. That's how much I like the Lightning. Lecavalier and St. Louis are the best. Do any of you got the games?

  • Who gave me a thumbs up?

  • nvm a thumbs down :(

  • I swear, Marty mus be Italian/Canadian. Showin' TOTAL disrespect at that goalie !!! And then burnin' him !!!!

I live in Tampa, and although I didn't attend that game, I always listen to A.M. 620 The Sports Animal with Dave Mishgan ( I think that's how you spell it ??) He is the Voice of the Lightning. He went APE $h!t when Marty scored this shot !!

  • that is not disrespect thats a shot a star's shot and for you i'll put it in easier words:

he tried to stick handle( make it so the goalie has a hard ( tough) time catching or getting hit by it) and put it in

  • best player in world i just love it <3

  • He's like 5'5 and still awesome... Imagine if he was big like lecavalier ;o

  • he is so adorable. he reminds me of brian gionta. two aaaaaamazing playerss.

  • Didn't look Like Fleury even tried O.o

  • hes really good

  • i dun like that move it seems so predictable

  • he is my role model

  • I love louis. he is so awesome. atleast he doesnt throw kids like akon lolz

  • st. louis rocks!

  • who cares, st louis still the best

  • Sidney Crosby's goal on this same day outshadow's this

  • shut up thx

  • freakin' awesome!!

  • Marty has some good tricks!

  • HA! Owned. It reminds me of the goal on Kolzig last season by Marek Malik in a shootout. Malik deked, shoved the puck between his legs behind him and scored to end a 19-round shootout. It was sick.

  • i saw that i couldnt believe it. ha.

  • sick play
