  • brilliant

  • Saw you as Dead Men Walking several times. Kirk Brandon, Glen Matlock, Slim Jim etc. Loved every minute. Just wish you could lose the politics. There's a lot of us out here who really couldn't give a monkey. Just give us the music and let us vote, as if we give a shit......

  • this track is brilliant, one of the very best of the 80's

  • I seriously believe this to be one of the greatest songs ever written and even though he wrote it, and even though he sang it, I don't think Pete Wylie did it justice and I've no idea who could. I can't think of anyone with a good enough voice to sing it.

  • a john peel fave..

  • Great song :) Quote from a local DJ "Pete Wylie only loves 3 things, Liverpool FC, Liverpool and himself...... but not neccessarily in that order!" always brings a smile to my face :)

  • Snaps ya straight back to the good times.

  • @Pete350lc this song is not about good times mate, it means just as much now as what we stood against at that time, they have it alls get more, whilst the rest of us pick up the bill.. tory goverments try to kill the unions to kill the spirit of the working class...'''first they take your pride'''..well you know what is next...

  • @only1McBoyd

Have you been a loser all your life? This kind of lazy 'the world owes me something because I exist' pish should have died out in the 80s - the 1880s. Take some personal responsibility, stop spouting drivel like this (Thatch hasn't been around for over 20 years), and take control of your life like millions of winners (whatever the class and odds) do. Your sentiments are pathetic, and worse, ignorant.

  • @Dev1lsAdvoca8 one nil to you....fool

  • @only1McBoyd

Ah the 'loser's' stock response 'fool' what a surprise. As uninspired and unoriginal as driveling on about early 80s 'class war'. The World has moved on a long way; try catching up and moving on (it worked for Derek Hatton)...it will do your faux sense of injustice a power of good.

  • @Dev1lsAdvoca8..... let it go man....all that pented up anger it will do you no good in the end..

  • Shameful that Pete Wylie has been sidelined somewhat in 80's music. A great song.

  • GREAT TUNE.....

  • Fab song

  • Fantastic song - shame not many people have heard of it :'o(

  • @NuttyGooner82

its gr8 that not many have heard of it because if they had fuckin xfactor would ruin it

  • @icedglobe1968

another reason to love it! :)

  • @icedglobe1968 Yes, I am still recovering after what Simon Cowell tried to do to Alphaville's Forever Young - bastard!

  • Love it.. too low tho..

  • Thank you memories of time when people actually sang

  • Fabulous stuff!

  • Pete Wylie.........legend..

  • A very under-rated song!

  • @timemtunneller who under rates it? this is genius!! :-)
