it was awesome! i didn't even plan to watch the movie. my mom and dad were watching it so i decided to watch it. i watched again after it was 30 minutes into the new year. i never get tired of it.
I just saw this weekend, loved it! However...my one main complaint lies in certain parts of the script. It's like the writer tried to make cussing a comedic relief, and it wasn't funny. Part of it is merited because soldiers are pottymouths, but if i just say 'shit' is that going to make you laugh? I would say that half of the cuss words they used weren't necessary, or funny.
For overall - one of the best / epic movies ever made!!! For effects, visuals, and technology - the best movie ever made in cinematic history - James Cameron; 5 light-years ahead of every filmmaker on earth!!!!

dude avatar was average, people got all hyped up about the visuals, and thats all the movie was visuals, i've seen the same plot over and over again. Visual effects were cool but ,i saw many mistakes from the actors. Overall i would give the movie a 7/10, now inception that was a movie 11/10 fucking amazing

I can understand the Titanic succes alot more than this one. The titanic had (to me) a bit more originality to dit than the avatar movie. That was a total pocahontas (and such) rip off. The special effects were nice, but not mindblowing, especially when there was "real live action"+ blue screen mixed up You see people staring in thin air when looking at (through) those CGI (bluescreen) characters
if you actually payed attention towards the story: It was a copy off of Pochanotos, where Sir John wanted to take all the use the land for an economic improvement, With the help of Sir whatever (idc) And Sir Whatever who was for the whites all the time turns around due to Pochanotos, And helped rebel Sir John and the whites off the land, um........... are the hollywood productions too cheap to be able to come up with there own-story. The Movie itself was only good for graphics and a copy off.
Avatar was an okay film at best. It's the same rehashed story and the only good thing about it was the amazing special effects. Just looking at the story the film is maybe a 6/10. You shouldn't be mentioning District 9 in an Avatar review because District 9 makes Avatar look like a piece of a shit.

Avatar was one big cliche, It was predictable, had no originality and the underlying message was incredibly patronizing to anyone with half a brain. But it was still entertaining and slightly above average. Although it won't go down in history as a great film for the simple fact that the next film with amazing CGI will dwarf it and Avatar will be forgotten. People who say its film of the year have not watched enough films in 2009 to make a judgment because i can think of several superior films.

avatar had a shallow plot with a horrible acting. It mixed Indians, dinosaurs, six legged rhinos and jaguars.....the director did not have any creativity. The only reason people love it so much is because of the CGI. If it wasn't for the CGI, it would have been bad. Personally, I found the movie over rated and predictable. It was an ok movie at best.

dude avatar was average, people got all hyped up about the visuals, and thats all the movie was visuals, i've seen the same plot over and over again. Visual effects were cool but ,i saw many mistakes from the actors. Overall i would give the movie a 7/10, now inception that was a movie 11/10 fucking amazing

I love Avatar! its not just a love story, its a tale about friendship, home and fighting for what you love and what you believe in. they have a beutiful, magical home and humans, as usual, are trying to destroy that for something as stupid as expensive rock. for me that is humans all over. Not all humans, but a lot of them. this film maneges to be amusing, heart warming, heart breaking and exciting all at the same time. anyone who doen't love this is obviously really shallow and unitelligent. xx

I can understand the Titanic succes alot more than this one. The titanic had (to me) a bit more originality to dit than the avatar movie. That was a total pocahontas (and such) rip off. The special effects were nice, but not mindblowing, especially when there was "real live action"+ blue screen mixed up You see people staring in thin air when looking at (through) those CGI (bluescreen) characters

if you actually payed attention towards the story: It was a copy off of Pochanotos, where Sir John wanted to take all the use the land for an economic improvement, With the help of Sir whatever (idc) And Sir Whatever who was for the whites all the time turns around due to Pochanotos, And helped rebel Sir John and the whites off the land, um........... are the hollywood productions too cheap to be able to come up with there own-story. The Movie itself was only good for graphics and a copy off.

Avatar was an okay film at best. It's the same rehashed story and the only good thing about it was the amazing special effects. Just looking at the story the film is maybe a 6/10. You shouldn't be mentioning District 9 in an Avatar review because District 9 makes Avatar look like a piece of a shit.

Avatar was one big cliche, It was predictable, had no originality and the underlying message was incredibly patronizing to anyone with half a brain. But it was still entertaining and slightly above average. Although it won't go down in history as a great film for the simple fact that the next film with amazing CGI will dwarf it and Avatar will be forgotten. People who say its film of the year have not watched enough films in 2009 to make a judgment because i can think of several superior films.

I luv these movie and I think it is the best sci fi i have ever seen! I can not resist watching it over and over again. If anyone remembers what it was like to see The Phantom Menace for the first time, you know, that deep, smoldering feeling that the world is wrong, that all of your hopes have disappearing.... no thanks to George Lucas... well, I felt the EXACT opposite when I walked out of Avatar. Like Lucas did for movie-goers in 1977, James Cameron made me feel like a kid again.

this movie was sooo vicious...the director has such a unique mind..he created a new planet with extraordinary animals and plants....and some new humanoid species and using them to educate us on how our world used to be when our world first began...and usually in movies you would notice its us humans being attacked by aliens but this we are the aliens...the director is so fuckin creative on how he designed the species to be i mean the expressions were so realistic..cant wait for the sequal...fuck

avatar had a shallow plot with a horrible acting. It mixed Indians, dinosaurs, six legged rhinos and jaguars.....the director did not have any creativity. The only reason people love it so much is because of the CGI. If it wasn't for the CGI, it would have been bad. Personally, I found the movie over rated and predictable. It was an ok movie at best.
