  • You evangelicals have no right to judge anyone! Do you understand me?

  • You evangelicals are bigots and I hate your ass!

  • Hate to agree but the MTV of today would be better if it was no more along with washed up pop stars that can't sing and have no talent. But instead of wanting them to be gone for good there is another option. DONT WATCH/LISTEN TO IT!!!!! Simple

  • LOL this guy is correct....If Xtians are resorting to heavy metal bands..... they are in trouble! I can sleep well tonight. :) Morons never outgrew santa claus.

  • "Reality is relative; there is no such thing as an absolute."

This philosophical position is also an absolute, so it is now a paradox.

  • This is why music is Haraam in Islam. This type of Worship is wrong.

  • I'm so glad that I'm an Episcopalian. Evangelicals should NOT represent the Church, they're just louder, hateful and more obnoxious.

  • instead of fighting against MTV, they should pray for all the innocent children killed in the Iraq wars their nation has begun!!!

  • they are saying its only 4% because they don't count other Christian beliefs. Its a mentality of believe exactly the way we do, otherwise your wrong and going to hell, and not a true believer.

  • christianity is not dieing. Its declining in the western world yes, but its rising in places such as Africa, India and China. India and China are especially important because they are rapidly developing countries and increasing in significance on the world stage. Oh by the way, the people touting the big bang theory to bash christianity, just a heads up it was a roman catholic priest named george lemaitre who developed the theory.

  • I grew up Catholic and stopped believing when the whole molestation thing came out (I was 12). (now 21) I dont need a religion or a god to know what is right or wrong. Im not a big fan of most of the pop culture (e.g. Pitbull, The Simple Life, etc) either. But guess what? Youth has to decide whether they want to listen that or not. Dont replace one propaganda with another. People shouldnt need religion to make them "good" people. Let them decide for themselves.

  • I will never understand Evangelical Christians. I'm Catholic.

  • Yes, christianity is dying.: )

  • awesome CBC report. The reporter is badass. Not afraid to throw a few punches. This is perfect journalism.

  • Stupidity is indeed infinite.

  • Oh wow, that church with the 'christian debaters' is two minutes from my home. My best friend played basketball there, and I saw my first set of boobies there. lol

  • I didn't understand ANYTHING from this video. These people aren't answering the reporter's questions....

  • Big Bang is way more possible than a god i would think, and if there is a god he definitely doesn't care for humanity. We are lucky mother nature hasn't completely wiped us out...yet.

  • What your hearing in these videos is the death throes of god.

  • preaching does make sense but they get too carried away" of believing it"

  • They'll never take away my pink floyd and opeth

  • This is a good report, it wasn't partial and the reporter was very tactful towards the people in the churches he visited =)

  • The most dangerous people in the world are those who believe they're absolutely right about everything and view themselves as victims of persecution when others laugh at them.

  • spiritual rock is horrible. Id be no problem being a christian if I could listen to good tunes.

  • @OttoVonGoenne

    with u there mate

  • "within a generation only 4% of americans will be bible believers." man do i hope that's true.

  • @BillKiernan I think that the mindset of evangelicals is such that they accept only a small percent of christians as "real christians". I don't see the majority of americans leaving religion for at least another two or three generations.... I do see religion as a whole becoming more palatable.

  • @kuurina i don't mind religion, as long as it's not of the evangelical fundamentalist sort.

  • @BillKiernan Me too. I think that intellectual laziness, harmful activities and prejudiced mindsets being framed as the moral right is the issue, not religion itself. It's just that when it happens in religion, it's institutionalized. Likewise though, when something really works in religion, it spreads throughout.

  • I just saw Dr.Phil.... DR. F*in PHIL!!!!

  • Heh. "I'm sooooo secular."

That was a great comment xD

This was fascinating. I'm not religious myself, and I didn't know some of these things about what Evangelicals actually do.

  • Spreading lies

  • religion is bondage

  • Billions of years ago God made a divine plan. So what the point in trying to convert people / praying if Gods going to do what he wants anyway?!

    - George Carlin

  • smoke some weed and youll be a liberal too... before weed i never thought about my judaism

i didnt even know the story... thats why im now a very happy atheist (you might become something else)(just please think about what YOU belive)

  • tune out, tune off? more like turn on, tune in, drop out lol

  • jesus christ

  • It's a shame; so many concerned Christians in this vid and not one of them explained the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Instead: Beware, we're losing our kids to entertainment, to MTV and the movies! The answer: Christian entertainment, Christian MTV and Christian movies lacking quality! Just ridiculous!

I'm not a Christian because the church is hip or cool or something. It's the good news!

    Be reconciled to God!

  • @TimotheosCauvin Exactly. Did you notice it wasn't "We have Good News, Great News. Jesus came to redeem us. Repent and turn to God. He'll change you and it'll be the best thing that ever happened to you." Instead it's "We're scared, we're losing kids to secular media." They've strayed from the Gospel.

  • The evangelical christian view is based in absolute ideas of god and man, good and evil, truth and falsehood. Reality is instead completely relative and people are coming to that understanding. So any absolute world view is doomed.

  • The art by Edvard Munch is something bad? How stupid can these people be?

  • Accusing people with different beliefs as terrorist is an insult.

  • GTA was in there lol

  • Christians need to save their wallets first in order to save the world!!!

  • Evangelical Christians are fake.

They go to church every Sunday wearing flip-flops, T-Shirts, Blue jeans or shorts, listen to some sappy emotionalism Music....listen to a 37 min sermon....then RUSH LIKE HELL to get to Cracker Barrel FIRST...

    Sad fake emotinalistic religion.....

  • @HanniYaudouh What does clothing have anything to do with it? You stupid sorry piece of trash.

Do you think the all important suit and tie sits better with god than t shirt and jeans? You muslim you. You probably came to the US to get better posessions and more money. Go back to your people if you are a man of god. And don't dare criticize us Christians because we are the ones who allowed your people into our country.

  • You Racist Devil. You think you can put me down because of my skin colour and my religion?

Go burn you crosses you KKK bastard.

    Racist Devil

  • the united states is made up of people of all different faiths. the christians didn't "allow" him into this country, the policies did. unless you're saying that all of government and the whole country is christian, in which case maybe you all can stop whining about how persecuted you are. what i can't stand about christians is how arrogant they are. you don't even know if he/she's muslim, or an immigrant, or lives permanently in the u.s. maybe "his people" just want to live how they see fit

  • @Repoman23 Ok I'm a Christian too and I have some things to say.

Christianity teaches LOVE and ACCEPTANCE but people like you, who are preaching hate, are the reason everyone else wants no part of our faith.

I left the faith because of people like you who told me that I wasn't good enough.

You know what? We all come to Christ dirty and broken, you are no different. Don't assume cause your some white American that your better than all the rest. Your a Christian right? Then your dirty too.

  • It's about time religion died, it's

    far passed it's experation date.

  • OMG Theirs terrorists in my living room? Im looking for them but I can find them.

  • Look behind the couch. Terrorists are sneaky like that.

  • @zakiechan I got one cornered, how do I get back into my TV? XD

  • Come on guys, whether your believe in God or not both sides have to learn to respect each other. Were all brothers and sisters at the end of the day whether you believe in evolution or in the bible. And considering myself impartial on this debate this report is very provocative even for Canadian standards, im suprised CBC aired it.

  • @limoboy3 why should we respect the religious when they preach that we are abominations, trash, sinful and deserve to go to hell and also want to hinder truth and science? Also if you are uncertain of evolution, just research it, you will soon realise that it is fact.

  • @JcM944 this video is terrorism

  • This is a really interesting report. Thanks for uploading it.

  • No prob.

  • Why must they prey on impressionable kids and teens? It's unethical.

  • Why do these guys pretend that they're the minority. Christains are the majority in the US.

  • 4:40, of course high school grads are leaving the church. Churches are for FAMILIES. Single people (adults) do not go to church. It's mommy, daddy and the kids. Once the kids grow up, they are outta there. Many churches do not understand this. Single people just don't go. Church has always been for families.

  • 3:40, as a former fundie, I do not consider any rock band to be "Christian". I am one of those that like the old hymns. I'm sooo old school.

  • 1:34. She should have said, "I can't make a different, but GOD can". That would have been the true fundie Christian response.

  • around 1:00, I must say that planting the seed is a good thing. And one soul at a time is just how it is done. But forcing belief is something different!

  • He understands why they want to? I still don't. Rap, rock and roll and MTV want to make me hate myself? I don't think so... last I checked most people put on music to feel better about themselves... you know, a good theme song.

I do have to agree that these people seem less scary and more scared.

  • "I am soooo secular"

This guy almost lost me at the start, but I seriously love him after this..

  • I love how these people claim to debate people LOL. I'd love to debate one of them to watch them break apart when thrown in the face of the evidence :P.

  • "acquire the fire?"

Is it necessary to come up with really stupid rhymes to be a Christian?

  • "planting a seed..." Jesus, will the give up that cliche already? It's always been a great excuse for, gee, we're not making a difference.

  • This is bunny.

He wants to save youtube from Bob!

Help him by posting him anywhere Bob is...

    AND anywhere he might hit!

  • great video, and i agree, when he says "i dont think you can make a difference" you can tell that they arent confident themselves.

  • I think that we all need a holy spook enema. ROFL!

  • I think it's great that there are people in this world that truly want to spread peace and happiness, if they could just ditch the whole God thing, they could win more people. I have always wanted a place for atheists to talk similar to church;a forum of ideas. People have a choice between pop culture and God, most will choose pop culture, so that is what must change. We must not endorse objectification of women, or ignore our wonder of the universe. What people really want is a place to belong.

  • @stevenweir76 Wow. This is so true.

  • I've been to those events many times throughout my life because my path is being an every day American, and how can you not experience that? But, I never converted to a believe in God or any religion, because they can't change me. I do, however, respect people's sanctuary. If that is where they find peace, so be it. I feel peaceful without having to believe in the unseen.

  • I think this series says it all... Christians are mainly entertaining and working themselves up. No one else cares. Almost every Christian I know goes to conferences and worship services like the ones on here but bright and early Monday morning REAL LIFE hits and it's business as usual. This is one thing that is killing the evangelical movement. The other is the disappearance of small community churches. Once the attendance dies off at mega churches people will have no where to go.

  • This has already happened in many major cities. The other knife being stabbed into the evangelical churches back is the emergent church. The emergent movement has basically taken the Bible, god, and Jesus, out of church and replaced them with a large self help seminar. To me it seems the church is grasping at air trying to stay afloat. It used to be I knew more people that went to church than those that don't but today it's the opposite, I no longer attend any churches, I no longer believe

  • 1:25 right after he says "I don't think you can make a difference" if you listen real closely you can see/hear in their response the truth. Even they don't believe they can really make a difference. You can defend and fight for a cause even if you don't believe it and I'm pretty sure I could clearly hear and see the doubt right at that moment. They do seem silly... I guess we can reference this video 10 years from now... what will be their excuse?

  • "I get it: These guys really believe they can change the world- and they also believe in miracles."

    Oh, burn.

    Good point, too.
