Turtles and tortoises are so sensitive to dirty, gross conditions. Seeing some of those poor little guys sick, overcrowded and dying makes me so mad I want to punch something!!

that's cruel. i didn't get Rebel, my Red Eared Slider, from a pet store. he came from a girl i knew, she got a Bearded Dragon and got bored with Rebel, so she tried starving him for 2 months. she was going to release him into a lake, so i offered to take him. he was living in a 10 gallon tank with one inch of water and rock. now he lives in a 50 gallon tank, has a basking spot with a bulb, and gets food and treats daily. i got him 3 years ago, and he's nearly doubled in size and is happy!

Damn. I support keeping and breeding pets........PROPERLY! But damn, you don't stack and pile animals like marbles or other objects. Why I buy from people that do the breeding and keeping because they love it, not BECAUSE of the money. Instead of pet store chains, I prefer to get animals from other hobbyists. We are proud of our hobby and respect the remarkable creatures.

I work at a reptile shop and this is horrid, this is absolutley terrible never do we keep our animals in this condition. The miniute we get our baby and adult turtles we put them in our large deep aqarium with lots of space so they can swim, hunt, bask and when we do have to clean them we put them indiidually in their out ventelated deli cup and mist them to assure their helth. This is truely sick
