  • Iran is the name of the land, not a nation. All over Iran, Turks have been living for ages. Mostly turks have ruled the middle, west and south-west asia for ages...

Persians are the descendents of European occupiers (roman and greek empires) their language is indo european, the sculptures are similar... etc.

  • @Freeeeee26 , U got it all wrong . first of all there was not much of farsi music before kachel khan. Kachel Raza and his son tried very hard to take out azerbyjani music and replace it with farsi ms.

80 some years name ( Iran = very stupid name ) gone to your head. name me one farsi goverment last 1400 hundred yrs have rulled this country .most farsi speaking part of the country used to play azerbyjani music. u guys need to stop these aryon garbage .there was not much of aryon shit

  • How many strings there are on Azerbaijani tar? 9?

  • @blackfeeling all in alll there are 11 strings, 6 of them are the same as the persian tar strings

plus 5 sympathetic strings which constantly resonante with overtones and sometimes get plucked.

    greetings from israel.

  • @shedmeraked Thank you :)

  • @blackfeeling your more then welcome

  • Bitiyorum şu Azerbaycan müziğine :)

  • looking for a concerto for Tar and orchestra by an Azeri (Soviet) composer named Haji Mohamadov / ~ev, which i heard more than 30 years ago. even had it recorded on cassette back then but lost it :( can't find it here on YouTube ... anyone knows about him and his works?

  • Hi dadautube, Searched for Hacı Məmmədov, Azeri Wikipedia has some information on him, but coudn't find any audio file. Good luck.

  • @Simitenbiri thank u dear friend. sorry for the late reply though. i'll look it up on the Internet again ...

  • This music is in remembrance of splitting of Azerbaijan territory into two parts. patriot Azerbaijani people always listen to this music for all disasters that they have in Iran with assimilation of their beautiful culture, language and music with Persian government who do not allow Azerbaijani people to learn their language and enforce them to change their language to Persian. I hope that Azerbaijani people survive and get united to develop their beautiful music for all human beings.

  • Thank you friendlyboylulea for your comment, very true. I as an Azerbaijani have such love to my and your culture that i don't see any reason to discussion about lines like ours or yours. we are from same culture. Yashasin Iran, Yashasin Azerbaijan.

زنده باد آذربایجان زنده باد ایران

  • el deyil eeeeeeeee.... qizildir qizil... tarin kamanin hardan geldiyi vacib deyil.. esas onu yashadandadir......... Azerbaycanlilardan gozel ifa eden varmi TARI, KAMANI, UDU, ve s.

  • BAKI-TEBRIZ, YASA AZERBAYBAYCAN

  • Sadihjan was not only great tar player but also innovator. He modified tar with 17 tones and was first man who played tar up to chest. This is different from way tar is playing in Iran. Among his students Meshedi Jamil Amirov (father of classical composer Fikret Amirov), Bahram Mansurov and others.

  • This is way of playing Tar in Azerbaijan. Many great Tar players were from Azerbaijan, Bahram Mansurov (I remember his CD discs issued in Paris by UNESCO in Soviet times), Ramiz Guliyev, legendary tar players Kurban Pirimov and Sadikhjan. This is from the book by Firudin Shushali (Shushinski) "Musicians of Azerbaijan"(in Russian) published in Baku,1989. Sadihjan(1846-1902) was born in Shusha (Karabakh).

  • This is way of playing tar in Azerbaijan up to the chest, different from Iran

  • Race and creed makes no difference in music.

  • Allah caninizi saxlasin Ramiz Müällim cox gezel !!!!!!!! Adama Läzät eliyir vallah !!!!!!!

  • Does Ramiz muallim owe anything to any Iranian individually for being such a master of tar?

Probably as much as Pele owes to someone/some people who invented football.

  • I guess it's time to leave this MUSIC PLAYERS OF THIS AREA ALONE then...!!

    let them stay misundrestood....

  • @hamid86 gej to twuj stary matole

  • The instrument is a bit different from the Persian one though. I think it's got more strings and maybe different materials.

  • I cannot understand why some Arian-Islamist friends write insulting comments wherever they find a popular Azeri music. Unfortunately, this provokes some Turks to write insulting comments, too. Shouldn't the Iranians discuss their political, and mostly racist, opinions in the politically oriented sites?

  • @hamid86 not you, but all of us should get rid of this who raped who feelings. We have to live here, we have to be friends. If we don't, some nations will fuck us both.

For me, I would not write anything against Persians, you do the same for Turks.

  • Wow!!! You're fantastik master! Thank you!

  • Bundan daha iyisi olmaz.cok iyi caliyor,üstadt hoca,yüregine saglik.-------------

Kompleksli birisi olduğun ortadadır. Yalan uydurmaq sene atalarından miras qalıb.

  • What a great master! I have always been amazed by Ramiz Guliyev's artistry.

By the way in Iran we caal this "Tar", the Caucasian (Gafghaz) tar, there is also a persian tar wich is the most popular instrument in Iran.

  • Well, it is not Caucasian. It is Azerbaijani tar - Azeri master Sadigjan made changes to the Iranian instrument.

  • mükemmel çok mükemmel...inş. bir gün bende böyle çalacağım..ellerine sağlık üstad

  • Great performance, great music and a great virtuoz , one can find a lot of Jazz and Blouz elements in this ancient kind of improvization in Azerbayjani Folk musics.
