  • now i know how to spot gays. they love long walks apparently

  • @FrostMan92 LOL!

  • I just noticed in the first minute of the video that they are using the same cup to swallow their pills.

  • What director is the B&W bit an homage to? Cocteau?

  • "Big deal. You meet a vilium adict and you figured out that she's unhappy?"

    That doesn't count. Of course.

  • The "woman" is Justin Kirk?

  • the hands and feet give it away <3

  • So I'm really sorry if this is one of thoes big moving parts but I keep laughing! This is Great!

  • @musicalfool It is a very funny part, also tells you a lot about the story, but as a stand alone it is meant to be comical. :-)

  • I love that they chose Justin Kirk for playing Prior Walter. He's not just very good-looking he is a very talented actor as well.

  • my favourite part in the whole series. unbelievably good AND in the first chapter => one of the things that keeps you watching! like a warranty of "good stuff." it's delicate such as few things that we get to see today and still it wasn't made such a long time ago...

there is a sensitivity combined with theatricality that really tickles my fancy about this scene. and i knew it had to be somewhere on youtube so that later i could upload it for everyone to see :) and so i found it :)

  • Whoever plays Prior is very handsome

  • @MsMemphisFlyer justin kirk! he is beautiful

  • wow they paid homage to the old french black and white beauty and the beast.....

  • This is one of the only films that does justice to the original stage script. So brilliant! I love Justin!

  • In my church, we don't believe in mormons. :)

  • you can see from a mile away before this dream that this guy cast as a mormon will turn out to be on the downlow gay. also his wife doesn't seem to know why she's depressed and takes pills. but she's "knows" her marriage is a failure even though she doesn't know why..she thinks it's her so she is being driven mental by it but it's him. he's just gay. and she just doesn't know.

  • The way they do this scene was great. It really justifies making a film version, with the similarities to Cocteau, and the black and white/color. And Harper's entrance is just awesome. Haha.

  • @yetzer19 It does kind of bum me out that this is the only scene they get together in the HBO version. They get like 3 more in the play, and get to meet in real life.

  • I love that scream. "The hands and feet give it away."

  • omg he looks like joan crawford

  • one of my favorite scenes in the movie

  • I had no idea that the two of them had worked together before Weeds. This is nuts!

  • Me and my friend did the first scene for our lit class it was so fun

  • "Nothing unknown is knowable"

  • My favorite scene!!! were doing this show AHHHH! :)

  • Harper's last line: "There's a part of you entirely free of disease" makes me weep every time I see it. In any other circumstance, I would find this line corny, but it's just so well-acted.

  • @beardo373 oh, ditto, baby... ditto

  • "Do homo's take long walks?"

"Yes, in stretch pants and lavander quaffs" haha

  • Wait, what is this?

    Where's Ellen page?

  • "People come and go so strangely here..."

  • Thanks for posting! What an important production!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, for uploading this on here! And it is quite nice that there are subtitles in my language. LOL not that I don't have a degree in English. XD

  • Louis' Boyfriend deserves a lot better than him. If my bf was dying I would be with him even past his last breath holding his hand. Likewise if I was the one dying and he would live. Louis is an ass for leaving then hitting on another guy

  • That Harper always turns out to be the most perceptive and eloquent character in this movie. Even if she is blind to some obvious (!) facts in her life.

  • @davidovich00 actually a reference to cocteau's la belle et la bete

  • When I die I wanna be a corpsette just sounds so magical

  • "Alright Mr. Demil, I'm ready for my close up."

    Yes, I love this scene!!!!

  • I love this scene...

  • @ffmusicdj haha, me too.

"i don't like your revelations and i don't think you intuit well AT ALL."

  • I ♥ Angels in America.

  • "....Robbed of decades of majesty-- FUCK THIS SHIT!!"

LMFAO!!! This movie is BEYOND excellence!!!!

  • AAAGH! The hands and feet give it away! ive read this play 1000 times and i dont ever stop loving it.

    xxx

  • i like the way he says "Fucked".

  • "*SCREAM* My hands and feet give it away."

  • I love when he starts his "One wants to" phrases then blows up....LMAO

  • this iz one of my favorite scenes haha well i think im the youngest person 2 like this movie....scary

  • This is soooo good. Thank you so much for posting!!!

  • "The imagination can't create anything new, it only resycles bits and peices from the world and reasembles them into visions." Too true.

  • Mm indeed; especially when one is on an incorrigible drug-cocktail regimen.

  • This is incredibly good; especially having 'Dance of the Blessed Spirits' by Gluck as background music played by (if my ears are not mistaken) James Galways: honesty wrapped as kitsch, kitsch performed honestly .. how apt!

  • This whole video is hilarious. The acting was well executed..bravo!

  • Best scene ever in a series...

  • I LOVE the chemistry these two share on screen. (in Weeds, too for that matter)

  • one of my favourite scene

  • I see something else about you. Deep inside you there's a part of you, the most inner part, entirely free of disease.

I love this movie. =) Thanks for the upload.

  • I love this scene. So much.

  • Tell me something surprising, you're husband is a homo lol now that's surprising.
