  • Teo Chew Tua Hia,hahahaha

  • Wow never knew a station would play my language. Go Teochew or Chui chow.

  • Teochew for LIFE!

I never knew anything about my language until I searched it up on Google.

Looks like alot of other people are Teochew too.

  • TEOCHEW PRIDE 4 LIFE!

  • Thanks for uploading this video. I have been looking for Teochew Hee video for ages, just to test my Teochew (still not good enough to understand the singing.) May be the karaoke version would help, may be:

    chow xia la!

  • It has been 18 years since the failed democratic revolution in Tiananmen Square, Beijing, China. I hope one day PRC will let us learn other Chinese dialects, such as Zhejiang dialect (based in Hangzhou) and Southern Jiangsu dialect (based in Suzhou), only after the Communist regime falls. I can imagine and feel how bland our Chinese culture be without those "lively" dialects spoken around here and there. God save the Chinese dialects!

  • is Zhejiang dialect called Wu language?

  • Yeah, I think from some sources that I'd learn about that Teo Chew is in actual fact that a very ancient language used way before the United of all Chinese Kingdom. If not mistaken that Wu Kingdom is the one that Teo Chew Clan (I wont used tribes) belongs to....

  • I really wish there is a show that will help us appreciate the polyglots of Chinese dialects in China, just like this show here. As a native of Zhejiang province (China) living in USA, I still have no chance of learning my ancestors' dialect and my parents won't let me learn Zhejiang dialect. I'm still struggling to find someone who can teach me Zhejiang dialect. Wish me luck.

  • If you look at the linguistic situation in Taiwan, it's getting much better as time passes by (even better than China (PRC)). Although Mandarin is still used in official broadcasts and announcements in Taiwan, there has been a resurgence in the use of Southern Min (Xiamen/Amoy), Hakka, and Northern Min (Fuzhou) dialects, which are now taught in schools. Those dialects are now easily heard in media as well.

  • To crazyball8e,

Tribalism is a tool to devide and conquer a people.

I am a proud Teochew (and u r not!). I don't have tribal mentality like you. Welcom to 21st century!

  • wow, i finally found the history and "name" of my dialect! Teochew or Chiu Chow or Chaozhou

most of my family speaks this language fluently, mainly the old people, i am okay in the language... i am tryin to keep it alive as best, i'm gonna teach this to my kids and generations to come

  • I'm positive that the rich teochew heritage will be very much alive in centuries to come.

  • fascinating to watch & hear the rich cultural heritage of this language group is still so much alive. It is probably the most exotic of the southern Chinese operas.

  • LANG XIAN
