He didn't start training to box until later than most any boxers/ufc fighters begin their training but he was the youngest professional combat sports champion ever. At 19 he became a world champion, beating people 10 years older than him. He would learn to adapt to the UFC with just 2-3 years training and take that shit over. But only bum boxers in thier 40's fight in mma

A prof boxer's stamina is much and much greater than a prof from the ufc, and boxers train more and they practice the punches much better than someone from the ufc who is practising grapple moves also so someone from the ufc would nog stand 3 rounds against a boxer because he just dont have the stamina and hes used to groundfight

#1 Both are real fighting.
#2 Any1 can be in either sport with alittle training but the best go the extra mile and thats true for both sports.
Its cool to prefer one over the other but dont act like MMA is so better (btw its MMA the sport not UFC) at the end, you have to work hard in any sport to suceed.
btw whats wrong with Foreman selling grills, they are great. lol

Same goes for a boxer in an MMA match but to say learning one type of fighting takes longer to learn than multiple types of fighting is stupid. You boxing fans will always argue the same thing and it never works because MMA just simply put is closer to real fighting and some of those boxing techniques you learn aren't as useful in a fight as they look.

@archer76101 The UFC fighters prepare for everything like kicks, elbows, knees, takedowns, and submissions unlike boxing which is completely 1 dimensional because all you have to worry about are punches unless you're Holyfield that is. The UFC has already started to dominate the ppv buys and as time goes on boxing will eventually die out because kids will be learning MMA and not just boxing.

Sure MMA fighters aren't the best boxers but that's because they prepare for a different situation than someone just throwing a punch and that's why any professional boxer who stepped into the cage against even a mediocre MMA fighter would lose, same goes for an MMA fighter in boxing unless of course that MMA fighter was a boxer.

@Fvantagio15 i think so too.. tyson was one of the heaviest hitters of all time... but the gloves size wont make much of a difference.. sport science did a study that proved that MMA gloves hit just about the same as boxing gloves... but Tyson's punches would put any heavyweight in the ufc to shame... i guess its all a matter of whether or not Tyson could be taken down..lol

He was submitted in the first round by a man 46 years old and that was his second to last fight from retirement. @MSNDBZ24 Thats true? If you put just about any MMA fighter in a boxing match with a proffesional they would lose. MMA fighters have to train every aspect of the fight game. They dont have to worry about the things boxers do. And MMA has a much higher finishing ratio. I prefer a roundhouse to the head knockout more then a punch ;) Much more exciting if you havnt seen. And boxing is like chess. MMA is like 50 chess matches in one. You have to train Boxing and every other style.
