For me, that's the ultimate complement - to John Fogarty in this case - to have Bruce Springsteen cover your song.

Which makes the performance all the more amazing! I think Francis Rossi described the moment as being idolized (for helping with Live Aid) for being at his (and the bands best) yet in truth being at their worst.

The band didn't really exist at the time, Alan Lancaster flew in from Australia to play speially.

Status Quo are still going strong.Their new cd is the best yhey've done for years. Unfortunately the U.S. have naver really got Quo,but they are legends in the rest of the world.

Well, you know, Rock 'n' Roll is based on the blues structure, which is always made of 3 chords, so in a way, you could actualy say that there is always a similarity in their songs. They also wrote a song called "searching for the fourth chord", so they're making fun of themselves in a way. But who cares if it's always three chords as long as it's the right ones xO

I have t5o say anyone who knows anything about the symantics of musical chords would realise that quo use alot more than three chords in their music ,eg, whatever you want has at least 9 chords inthere scale if you listen to the different riff changes carefully.The biggest percentage of their music hasn more than "3chords"based in them,its not so different from any other rock blues based band,they just stick to a successful "straight from the hip" formula that works,thats all I,m saying..

I think it was because they were opening. If they had been in the middle of the lineup I think Caroline would have been first, but of the two Rockin all over the world is much better for opening a show.
