@MrBrownpride3 Mylar balloons are surprisingly strong, Mylar had a place in the moon landing and it's found in satellites and In military applications as well, it is another piece of technology that has helped save lives and helped our world grow.
It can however be punctured , like for example textured sheet rock ceilings can poke a hole in it if the balloon flies up and hits the ceiling to hard. The holes can be patched with tape unlike with traditional balloons.
Hey what the heck? I have one now and there is something wrong. The pod CONSTANTLY stops responding and i have to manually move it to fix it! Its not stuck cause it would at least try to move but instead it does nothing. Is this normal?
Hi TaoistFlyer... I love the idea of this Air Swimmer that you suggested, in response to my Comment, but I am bidding on a Silverlit Z-Century 4channel RC helicopter (my research suggests it is identical to the AirHogs Helix 360 - a brand owned by Silverlit). Maybe one of these Air Swimmers should be next... Mrs LM will 'do her nut' over this new hobby! Nice video on a great channel.
I was in New York this week, and walked into a Toys R Us, which had six floors and a ferris wheel inside, and saw this for fifty dollars, plus 25 for the helium. HOW DID YOU GET IT FOR 20???
AAAAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH. I laughed the whole time watching this... That is sooo coool. I thought you were in an aquarium... Gonna get me a few for presents. Thnaks for sharing.
@bladejunkee I haven't had any problems with them. They are in china though so shipping can take a little while longer but it's free shipping around the world and they have good prices.
@Megalodon64 I hope they start making all sorts of flying balloons, Shamu seams like a good choice and would probably sell great but I'm really looking forward to some of the other strange shapes that balloons can come in.
I want one that looks like an old Spanish galleon ship, but with a little steam punk in the design, a sort of mechanical looking tail/rudder and maybe even a mix between a swimmer and a blimp with fans. The sails would be tough but it would be beautiful in the air.
What happens if u poke it
MrBrownpride3 3 weeks ago
@MrBrownpride3 depends on what you poke it with.

@SuperMillerman10 you should be able to, average flight time is about 15 or 20 minutes, you may be able to push up up to half an hour.

@TheMokamola different places sell it for different prices, lightake.com sells it for 20. But it's I.R. controlled instead of R.C.

bladejunkee 3 months ago
@bladejunkee It's actually the air ranger
taoistflyer 3 months ago
@bladejunkee discovery has no affiliation with airswimmers, they just sold the shark version

@97nnamdi you could easily buy a similar size Zeppelin envelope from a hobby shop and just put the air swimmers tail and pod on it.

@Megalodon64 I actually recorded a video of me building it, I can post it if you think people would care to see it.
It isn't as hard as it looks, it took me about an hour to figure out how to build one.
