  • I cannot imagine the Hmong in the USA doing this... EVER! They're so unorganized and different organizations fight each other to host. Then you have the stupid ass gangsters you get every year who pay money (what a waste) to get in to ruin things for everyone... stupid! Kill each other elsewhere, geesh!

  • @ASilverPeony dont forget that we dont have a unified new years. fresno is dec. sac nov? etc...

  • I like this song......it's nice:)

  • are these Hmong chinese?

  • @kuvhlubkojibleegxwbo

they are Miao not Hmong in China

  • This looks like a rehearsal for the Beijing Olympics.

  • they honor that they are hmong people not like the hmong in america who don't know who is thier parent and home.

  • Wow!!!!!!!!!!! our hmong people are such beautiful and lovely ones in the world. Long life Hmong!!!!

  • i wonder if they ever fight eachother in new years like hmong america hahaha somthing to laugh at lol.. sad huh hmong america

  • we hmong people welcome you to our hometown which locates kaili city guizhou province of china where there are so many nice place and nice people to visit.

  • @MRYANGZHIHUA

thanks for your welcome! I came to China this year but did not get to come to guizhou even though I really really wanted to....but it was too far and I didn't have enough time!....

  • in my opinion i believe the hmong chinese are most successful out of all us hmongs. hmong americans can't even get together like that and had already forgotten who they really are and no longer cares for the hmong traditions and stuff...

hmong chinese seems to have showed more love for each other unlike the hmong americans...

  • @peeps010 We are seeing now is an great event and well organized. But, are we sure that these setting really belong to a real Hmong artists and talented Hmong people. I believe that every detail of the movement was designed and prepared by Chinese. They just use our them song and costume to attract the tourists that's all.

  • @peeps010

Because in China, you have to work together. China prides itself in working as a group to accomplish a top goal...sort of like Japan...but in America, it's each to his own...individualism....and in America, people compete to be the top of the economy...in China, the Miao are really poor, and they're just trying to live a decent life.

  • I just been to China in Dec /09 I had met a hmong Quizhou he speak excellence english, I told him your peolpe rather take your miao? you don't want to be hmong?

then he said before we are miao but now we know miao is not good to us, so from now on we going to fight to be hmong I told him very good.

  • Love this song, does anyone know were i can get a copy to song

  • We are all from Africa. Descended from African, genetic traits are similarity from all people. Culture and religion are new breeds. The climate and nature just change our color, language are lost and remade with news ones as history is created every second. We are all one. Doesn't matter where we come from or what language we speak, we all alike.

  • I am sure only a very small percentage of people in China call themselves Hmong. Maybe those are the people who moved from Thailand to China in the late 70th and early 80th. All these people always call themselves Miao.

  • Wow,

There's lots of people with issue in here. It seems there're many people watching the video but yet still very blind to the truth the beautiful sister here is a hmong. Clothing, music instruments, facial feature, and where she's from, etc from this video is very hmong. I'm sure if this sister is asked that question, she surely will say she's hmong.

  • @AknightKos

No, she will say she's Miao. I just went to China recently, the Hmongs there don't call themselves Hmong, they call themselves Miao. And proud to be...

They lost some of the story along the way I guess.

  • In life, all people of all cultures face disagreements and contentment. no matter if it is a reason of disagreement or not, it is a natural part of life's cycle. It is a part of nature's survival design. We cannot point fingers at others' nor complain yet, do nothing for issues-- whether it may be from the past or present. We as a people need to take the responsibility of our own individual actions as who we are and take care of ourselves finding who, what, why, how, and when we came to be one.

  • The division of a people's unification cannot be done if, we as a people do not allow it. No one can change the past for what it was. It is the future that we must look forward and make progress and stop living in the past. Hmong Miao no matter where we are in the world, we are still Hmong Miao. The division of Hmong Miao can only be if one forget who one is and what is it to be Hmong Miao. Thus, the division may only occur from within when there are no understanding of who we are as a people.

  • A people no matter how long they have been parted or how much the language evolved and changed as long as they believe and remember who they are- they can find the spirit and courage to be united regardless of where they may be located. Change for the betterment and Unification as a whole (for a people) regardless of spiritual/religious/language/accent differences can be the only key to progress. Blaming others for the cause of our lost bc we allow outside influence to do so is not the solution.

  • @zongyang21

That's true...Americans don't worry about forming together anymore because they are already divided. But Hmong culture focuses on the family, and bonding together in the clans, relatives. That's only why we feel so much disagreement. Americans just accept the fact that people will always disagree with eachother and who cares. But the Hmong is focused on consensus and agreements because in our culture we try to work and live together in unity.

  • to young hmong men, the time is yours, Miao United is in your hand. R U just let those beautiful ladies go to Han take care?

  • No! but i will:)haha

  • I believe that to es can if we can learn english and mandarin how can we can not learn each other. All Han ready unit, y miao can not be Unit.

  • the hmong people couldn't ever be peaceful together when there are a lot of us living together

that's why we dont have a country

  • u r wrong about the hmong ppl...hmong live happy and strongly together...even the chinese cant beat the hmong when we r united..that y the chinese have created last name and separate hmong into groups. hmong lost to the chinese because the chinese lie to some hmong group that if they help the chinese win the war with the hmong they will be granted king of hmong and that y hmong started to fought 1 another... if without the last name hmong will still be strong but because the last name hmong cant

  • i'd say it's true that hmong ppl, in this time, will not cease to have a country of their own, not because of the last name. but because they are so many different hmong groups, langauges...in addition, hmong people are never peaceful with one another.

  • @yajboi303 it's all the Chinese deception my friend if you want to kick some Chinese ass let me know I'll be there.

  • @ilikesuzuki I think you should watch your language my friend,no racism allow in china, wether han or miao they're peacefully like family unlike here in the U.S where you drive couple rounds in white's neighbor hood before you know cop already behind you,i don't know what you mean kick chinese ass, when white ppl mean kick chinese ass they include you too.please grown up learn some respect toward others cuz we originated frm china.peace 2 u

  • @mrrojntshavhmoob do you know hmong history if you know really well then you would say fuck chinese we are from china but, chinese is shit.

  • @ilikesuzuki I know our history just enough to understand how we endup here, but as i look back I know that our old folks were sufferd for the past 5k years, now it is the generation of peace,we should learn how to live peacefully together, can't change the past but learn to love eachothers, chinese is including all walks of lives in china,hmong/miao chinese are chinese too so be proud of us,no more hatred let peace begins.btw don't let our own stupidity be our enemy.

  • No, i'm sorry but us, HMONGS, cannot live together like how every other ethnicity's are. We argue about the littlest thing. They say "if we Hmong don't love Hmong who will love Hmong", but truth is we don't. So why use that phrase. I am Hmong, myself, but I can't stand the fact of how we are so greedy with each other.

  • @charnity89 I'm pretty sure you can find that characteristic in every nationality. It's not really a distinct trait to put on just the Hmong people.

  • dude, that is so true...

  • @zxrmuzzy Untrue. Hostility is not apart of the Hmong's hospitality. A proof of that is that anywhere and everywhere you, you are greeted with a respectable "hello" from one Hmong person to another, regardless if you know one another or not. I'm pretty sure eastern cultures embeds this as well, but this is just an example.

  • wow unlike us in the USA they are so organized, the chairman for this event must worked very hard. look at the uniforms, colors and style. I like that singers smile. when and where, what city is this I want to take a vacation to see it.

  • 2006 in Kaili for the celebration of 50th Miao(Hmong) and Dong region of SE Guizhou province. The girls in white are Dong people and the others are Hmong.

  • Are Dong Miao, too? And please tell me if it's true that Japanese and Korean also came from Miao nationality.

  • Dong (Kam) are Tai speakers, they're related to Thai & Lao, but have picked up many aspects of Hmong/Miao culture.

Nobody knows with certainty where Japanese & Koreans came from. Probably mixed Dongyi & Tungusic? Their languages certainly have elements of both Sino-Tibetan & Altaic families.

  • @maijib2009 you let me know I'd love to visit this country side too.

  • they look so peaceful compare to us in america hopefully we can be like them also one day

  • u no y, they don't have that many bills like we do.

  • She has such a beautiful voice.

  • This Video is very awesome. So, enjoy it !

  • Stupid "pra nao" comment:

you are a big thinker bak Miao...who was born in Laos ...you are snob...ans stupid too..what country are you going to invade and take over and name it your country ?????....Loser..you that was why you took us here in the state...go back to laos and smoke your opium...big thinker ,,,how much brain you have back then ???? why you guy taught us to eat water with rice?????? no brain to raise the cow and do any agriculture ?? reply me ...if you are stupid

  • Ur user anme is very Hmong. May be u r the one who's stupid. Hmong prophecy said " Hmong have many countries" not just one. Hmong are the rightius ones. What ever country we live in, that country becomes ours. Even the bible mention that an asian will be the conquerer of the world. Who knows? He/She may be Hmong.

  • haha that's kinda cool (:

    i like how she sings.

    xD

    such a pretty voice.

  • this song and the one b4 is different. eventhough i cant understan all of it the one b4 was in chinese and this one she actually sing more in miao.

  • omggg i loveeee this songg!

  • So that Hmong Suav have picked up Chinese as second language, but aren't you guys using English here? Having a different second language makes you a different ethnic group?

  • you are a big thinker bak Miao...who was born in Laos ...you are snob...ans stupid too..what country are you going to invade and take over and name it your country ?????....Loser..you that was why you took us here in the state...go back to laos and smoke your opium...big thinker ,,,how much brain you have back then ???? why you guy taught us to eat water with rice?????? no brain to raise the cow and do any agriculture ?? reply me ...if you are stupid

  • hmm you sounds like u dont got enuff money from SSI, a retarder person like you, soon will go to hell, enjoy your darkness in hell dude,

  • The Hmongs' ancestors did what's best during their time. The Hmongs that lived in Laos are minority of Laos. Laos is their country. I feel bad for the ones that were hunted down int he jungle, they don't know any better. They are being manipulated by the few idiots who think there's is still hope for a Hmong country. The war was over a 36 years ago.

  • we are Hmong but where is our fucking country ??? what's our country 'name ?...our ancesrties were stupid...didn't wanna pay taxes to the HAN ..dynasty that why we got kick out ..and had no country!!!!our urgent duty is help out some of us out from that fucking jungle..there . look it up if you have eyes...

  • Hmong and Miao are same people, where did Hmong came from? China Miao just from China, and Hmong are from Laos or thailand... p314ppp too bad you still in the jungle... you should know that your great grand father came from China. Forget about that freaky Laos, that fucken country belong to Lao, so don't waste your life dude.

  • Get together and use our brains try to get our poeples from that jungle out to safe places.. Don't just come in the net sit on your lazy ass and claim that you are Miao...or show your stupidity to the others tha toppse your ideas...

  • you got he point there we hmong always try to be like others and those that similar to us we claim them in no correlate they offer a terrible refuse, it is a shame

  • It's seem to me that the fucked stupid Hmong ..wanna be the same tribe with the Miao...some Miao peoples answered that ...MIAO AND Hmong are not the same but some stupid Hmong still resist ..that you are the same...why you care so much about it..it's about 5000years..ago...dumb it...why don't you concern about some of us ..are still in the jungle of Laos right now ...not 5000 yearsa go..

  • YOU ARE FUCKING HMONG...DON'T KNOW FUCKED ALL ???? THEY SAID THAT THEY ARE MIAO...NOT HMONG LIKE YOU ...HMONG MEANS..PEOPLES CAME FROM LAOS AND SMOKE OPIUM...MIAO MEANS PEOPLES WHO LIVE IN SOUTH CHINA...GET IT DUMB HOMNG?????look it up ...if youare that stupid...

  • 1) The Chinese term "苗 (Miao)" was pronounced like "Hmao" in ancient time, which was clearly derived from "Hmoob".

2)What's your f*cking problem with Hmong peep?

  • Comment removed

  • 非常感谢

  • 太 热 闹 了, 我 已 想 要 参 加,

    你 们 是 苗 族, 你 们 称 呼 你 们 苗 族 还 是 称 呼 Hmong/Mong?

  • 古漢語"苗" 的發音較接近 Hmaob, 怪只怪近代漢語偏離古漢語太遠了

  • Those are some of the LONGEST Qeej I've ever seen.

  • love it

  • you might as well blame hmong americans and all other hmong on different continents for having "fun" while hmong are being killed in southeast asia. i'm sure they're are activists in every country doing their part. so it's unnecessary for you to say that about hmong chinese.

  • Last time somebody "cared", FBI threw Gen. Vang Pao in jail. I'm still speechless.

  • she is hot, she is hot

  • agree, she is very beautiful.

  • This is my favorite song, thanks to this video with us. It's not matter who you are but you have a beautiful voice. I know that not too many people have your voice, so keep up the good work, hope we see more your songs.

  • What's the name of this singer? Is she a Hmong or Dong? She has a great voice and pretty too.

  • I love my miao ppl...nice singing. by ayouduo...

  • does anyone know what that event is and when they have it?

  • omg beatiful song... love it.. but are you sure they are hmong?

iam a hmong myself.. but i can't understand a word they say....

  • It's in Chinese mostly. Since it's a joint Hmong & Dong (Kam) event, this is the only way these two people could understand each other. Just like you would speak English with other Americans who don't understand Hmong.

  • they are hmong/miao, and thats cause their not speaking your dialect plus, shes singing in Mandarin

  • They are Miao. They are not Hmong/Mong.

  • Miao is the Chinese word for Hmong.

  • In that case, do all the Miao Zu (苗 族) consider themselves as Hmong?

  • I'm guessing yes, because they are still Hmong. Miao Zu means Hmong rebels/barbarians. So Miao is only used to called Hmong, not Miao Zu which I'm guessing, it's offensive to them...

  • I'm not sure I follow your logic. You might be right, though.

  • i think yes... they do still consider them hmong.. one of ayouduo's song, she say Hmong es hmong es.... if you watch the 2008-2009 hmong miao new year, the host open the ceremony and say "peb kwv tij hmoob", but in hmong miao acient... you can watch the new year clip from niamtxiv or one of his friend that upload it..

  • So the beautiful Ayouduo sings a song about the Miao and Dong people, but it's sad how the dong are so disrespectful to the Miao people. They claim the Miao Qeej as their own original instrument, and they even copy the Miao by wearing Miao silver jewelries and head wears. It seems like the dong just want to compare themselves to the Miao. They better not start claiming the Miao silver headdresses and necklaces as their own otherwise I'll be pissed off.

  • hlub hmoob as 1

  • does anyone have this song???

    i want it!

  • My Hmong brothers and sistesr, no matter where you live, in the city or on the mountain - we are hmong, we have the same blood, therefore love one another. God bless Hmong people.

  • My Hmong brothers and sister around the world, it is my pleasure to see you here. Love one another, united we live - divided we die....

From Hmong brother in the US.

  • so what is this song called??

  • Flying to Miao Countries and Dong Villages

  • love it! so amazing. always wanna go there.

  • Great video of the dance. 5 star!

  • I wish I could go see this. -_-" boo

  • my favorite song!!! i love this song

  • beatiful culture!

  • oooo

  • love her voice!

  • what celebration is this? Thanks

  • 黔东南自治州成立50周年庆

  • Good question/answer, but not everyone can read Chinese, OK.

  • 50th anniversary of the establishment of the QianDongNan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture.
