  • @sixxdog LOLLLLLL!!!!!! Fuck´n Great!!! :D

  • did you guys knew that the drummer was in the guinnes world record book of 1991 for fastest double bass drum?

  • Kinda sounds like Megadeth.

  • @medievalweapon666 I think bill Michael amott said that this was morbid angel/megadeth inspired

  • @Moket1234 THEY WERE NEVER GRIND when will you people get this through ya heads!!!!

  • @rottingcunt666 wasn't carcass's first album goregrind?

  • @rottingcunt666 dude your fucking right about that like i still think their first album is goregrind but really Jeff hated the term because they always where playing death metal so when the title droped at their 3rd album(my personal fave) Jeff was like fucking finally lol

  • These old Carcass tunes are epic stuff indeed! I use it when I go to sleep at night...nothing eases me more than this truly amazing band. So sad they haven't made anything for a 100 years. Are they reunited, like everyone else these days?

  • Yeah, they're still amazing live though. Seen them twice now since the reform, brilliant

  • Actually kids they started out as Goregrind. Really its basically Grindcore gut with gore infulence.

  • @megadeth668 actualy if you ask Carcass they are not Grind of any kind but pure death mate. "Goregrind" was a name coined for any band that was a bit to heavy & lyrical for death.

  • It's metal. Who cares. Awesome video for those who understand the lyrics.

  • 2 word for carcass fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckiiiiiiiingggggggggggggg coooooooooooooooooooooooooool!!!!!!!!!! oooooooooooh yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaah

  • Minus keyboards...

    Thank God

  • what do you mean by "now." They haven't recorded anything in what, like 10 years?

  • watch your words moron...

children of bodom start in 1997, carcass last album was in 1996 Mr. knowledge

  • fuck you,net troll

  • @Hivoyer ohhh... i'm so offended... snif

  • I didn't say they're bad,I said they were better with grindcore

  • @Hivoyer they will never sound like children of bodom

  • haha carcass is a grindcore band, Arch enemy is Melodic death metal.

  • @zer4567oi ha ha your uncle touched you when you were little you got both the genres completely wrong

  • @zer4567oi : archenemy is power-pop.

  • @zer4567oi you are a prize fuckhead pal you have got you're genres totally backwards! Napalm Death, Anal Blast, Terrorizer are grindcore. NOT CARCASS hahahahahahahaha. Carcass is Death... The main difference between Death and Grind is the melody!!!!!! Hence Melodic Death!!!

  • Carcass were poets and tremendous artists. It's a petty that they didn't have as much control over their video production as their music. Then again, they wouldn't have got as much air time. They truly expressed something special about mortality.

  • poets?

  • yeah, have you listend to No love lost? all lyric is a poem of dislove

  • ah. okay, point given. I like the word dislove, by the way. I always thought the antonym of love was hate, though.

  • lol wat?

  • Carcass, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Death, Deicide,Suffocation, Bloodbath, Nile, vadar, Six Feet Under, Autopsy, and obituary.....death Metal Have some epic bands under its belt...I love the brutalness!!!

  • and Gorguts=)

    so underrated...

  • @UnhandyCrane Fuck bro I could've written that myself in those exact words...... you are a man after my own evil heart!!!!

    Fuckin tell it brother

    HAILS

  • @UnhandyCrane Pungent Stench is cool too.

  • @UnhandyCrane Terrorizer, Brujeria, Napalm Death

  • @UnhandyCrane Couldnt agree more. but Six feet under sucks

  • carcas are fucking awesome-they truly deserve their position at bloodtock open air this year-which is right at the very top:D

i just hope to god they play this song because it will seem like a worthwhile gig forever. the album in particulaqr is amazing in itself though-each track is a pure gem.

  • those are the most awesome dreads i've ever seen

  • They progressed from Grindcore/Goregrind to Death Metal after the first album. The only reason it happened was because Bill Steer became a much better guitarist. Then when Micheal Amott joined, they recorded the tools of the trade EP and became more melodic death metal. Swansong was just Bill Steer exercising his classic rock influences, with twin guitar melodies and solos.

  • What? Are you seriously going to block out one of the most influential bands in death metal, just because its not fucking grindcore. Grindcore is fucking shite, nothing but a load of noise and gurgling. Because these guys became better musicians, they changed.

  • grindcore is shit? so youre saying that napalm death is shit then.

  • Their music changed an awful lot, and to be frank, I'd say for the best. Glad it kept it's brutality while adding a more obvious rythm (I swear that's not right).

The only complaint I have is the fact they made some of the songs so long. I like this one more than others though, it doesn't drag on.

  • I'm sure..I love DM like grind but heartwork and swan song are for me annoing.fu**ing slow boring music..tipical DM 92-94...most of DM trying to sell more LP for 1 year rebel child.

I known wat is DM & when I want DM listen I have 1300 CD 600 7" 350 LP and all great stuff no gothic no groove no stupid commercial melo.

I see DM born and I told you:

I'm fast 39 and I listen true HC-DM-Grind -Thrash from early 86 and my love for this music still aliveand F**K all the commercial bastards.

  • i agree, death metal is much better than grindcore

  • @irongeorge94

lol wtf boygeorge94, you can't compare death metal to grindcore, that just doesn't have any sens..

  • @PsychoPathologist420

quite incorrect theres plenty grindcore thats actually quite similar to death metal

  • where is bill steer?!!

  • He's the sexy fucker with the orange guitar.

  • lol

  • yo los vi en bogota suenan increible pero ese pinche baterista no le llega a los tobillos a ken owen

  • If I can only see them again ... \m/

  • they're coming out again it said in Guitar World mag that Amott is touring with thme again or somthing. so you very well ight have your op my friend

  • You're in a luck, eh?

  • yus!-

  • que cancion 5/5 y a favoritos se a dicho.

  • PINCHE CANCION ROMPEMADRES

  • oh right! gid save the bondage!

  • awesome song.

  • so many good riffs in this song. the intro riff is my fav

  • my favorite song of CARCASS! this makes me insane

  • I think this was the second one I listened to - but it was the one that convinced me I liked the band.

  • Always the real sound of UK!!Epic band of grind!!!

  • carcass forever

  • This is a sweet song but ya can't beat Chuck Schuldiner with Death :)

  • i fucking hate sub genres, why can't we just call it metal :S

  • Because it is too open?

Really, if every sub genre of metal was just called metal it would be really confusing if trying to discuss musical taste with people. While I agree sub genres can be confusing especially those that are very similar it just wouldn't work with the wide spectrum of sub genres that fit under metal.

  • i think what jongemoneous is trying to say is that the arguring between fans and what they think the bands subgenre is, is extremely annoying, especially like you said similar subgenres. i would prefer to limit subgenres especially in regard to adjectives like technical, prog and symphonic. but people will always call them what they will....

  • I always confuse sub genres. What is Carcass classified as?

  • goregrind (Reek, Symhponies), death metal/grindcore (or grind metal as it is officially classified) @ Necroticism which is the album of this song. Melodic death metal/death n roll for Swansong and Heartwork

  • grindcore = goregrind, sorry

  • heavyyield; by death n roll you mean death rock right ? cos im hearing that term for the first time !!

  • death n roll is a real term. google bands such as hearse (with johan liiva, former vox on arch enemy) and you will find it to be classified as death n roll. I myself havent heard of the team death rock before, but i think they mean the same *death metal + rock n roll)

  • death rock and death n roll are two different things

  • I don't blame you. Even some sub genres have their own sub genres.

  • Almost 18 years ago i bought the album and it's still a classic one. RESPECT !

  • The London Philarmonic Orchestra of GRINDCORE!!!

  • score one for UK

  • Great Cd!!!

  • many people think cannibal corpse is the most brutal stuff out there, but thats why they havent heard Carcass yet!!

I met Bill Steer, Jeff Walker and Michael Ammot last month, they fucking rule!

  • Comment removed

  • for me disgorge is the most brutal band

  • muy bueno

  • the video is...is...kinda....gross!

  • me too dude

    its gonna be awesome

  • get 2 c them at california metal fest next week...w00t!

  • man those riffs are sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ken Owen goes to my mates college :P

Confetti Creative Studio's in Nottingham :)

    CARCASS FUCKING RULE

  • these guys r sooooo much better than cannibal cock, i dont no why those guys are still attempting to make music. carcass hasnt put out a new album in over 10 year and theyre still waaaaaaaay outta their league.

  • Gotta love the main guitar breakdown. Gets my blood pumping.

However, the first half of the video was... kinda comical. was expecting more slipknot costume kind of a thing.

  • Amazingg song <333

  • Fuck oats this rocks!

  • I don't care what anyone says. This is simply one of the best heavy metal songs ever written. I can't believe it's old enough to drink. :-)

  • They are amazing, this song kick asses, Mexico salutes you CARCASS, come back soon

  • fucking sick Ibanez!

  • Same here.

  • Shit thought this was Arch Enemy's my bad!

  • Arch enemy did a cover for this song...

  • they did a cover of this song because this was one of the few songs off necrotism that micheal amott wrote or helped write.

  • I know that.

  • simply awesome

  • (L)

  • aawesome-its one of my fave songs from carcass which comes from a masterful piece of work

  • good to hear this again

  • dio can sono i migliori!!

  • Hahaha, gli italiani si riconoscono sempre! Carcass rules!

  • thanx for the video, probable I never would have seen it if you didn't put it on here

  • If you are anxious about admitting you enjoy metal, i suggest buying some weed, get ripped and play this album very loud from beginning to end.

Thats all i need to say on this matter.

  • One of my favorite songs of ll times.

    Hail brutalism!

  • Arch Enemy sucks donkey balls. Carcass rules.

  • compared to carcass arch enemy suck donkey balls-but they arent that bad to be hones.

there are worse bands in the world...

  • Just listened to Arch Enemy's cover,a total let-down, just as I thought. Overproduced and sterile modern melodeath, that's what the cover is all about. The guitar tone sounds so synthetic...That gal's growls sound...Bleargh!!! The drums are terrible. Bass? What bass???

The song is also in a lower tonality, and that's no good.

Stick with the original, you all. One of the best metal songs ever made. Check out the beginning (and ending) riff in 11/8 and the riff at 0:14, fucking legendary moments!

  • indisputable legends, gods even. most influential band ever in my book.

although.. i gotta admit i like the AE cover of this song better (mainly cause of the improved guitar tone and recording quality) but this ver is awesome AND nostalgic for me... so its a tough call

  • Why people gotta abbreviate the most random godamn shit? What the FUCK is "AE"?

  • Arch Enemy, maybe? Btw, I agree, it's fucking annoying.

However, I haven't listened to the Arch Enemy cover, but I can say without a doubt that it doesn't top the original, because, yeah, this is fucking nostalgic!!! Being a melodic death metal band, I'm pretty sure that their cover would have a modern and overproduced sound, like all the other bands of the same genre, but there's Michael Amott, maybe...

  • You agree that abbreviating statements is annoying, but in the same statement you say "BTW"...

    Maybe I'm missing something...

...And that guy with the red guitar standing on top of his amp, is he making fun of Ace Freeley from Kiss, or is he just dressing like a black metal fag...

    I'd hope the former.

  • Yeah, you're right. I dislike abbreviations and usually I try to not use them, but, you know, I was exceeding the characters limit, so I was forced to use the abbreviation.

Dunno about the guitarist. I think he was just trying to act in heavy metal fashion.

  • American Eagle. No, just kidding. Its for Arch Enemy.

  • Undisputed kings of british death metal

  • Good to hear that they're back together

  • sorry 0:14

  • Riff at 14:00 is simply amazing

  • How can anyone not like this stuff??

  • Necrotism was their best work. Corporeal Jigsore their legacy. End of debate.

  • unreal.

  • One of them is swedish actually and thats amott and he spent most of his life in england

  • This album was amazing to get stoned to at my parents place in my teens.

Changed me for life. To bad they weren't the same after.

  • Great song, but Youtube has shitty audio quality.

  • i love this album,,super muza CARCASS ROZPIERDALA

  • NIE INACZEJ!!! I LOVE CARCASS!!!

  • perfect!!!!

  • Una de las mejores rolas de Carcass.Que grandes!!!espero que crucen el charco en 2009 y pasen por españa o cerca al menos...Siempre Carcass!!!

  • Some scumbags stole my truck with this cassette tape in the stereo. I cursed them with voodoo and I think they are all dead now. Their death was not enough to please me though, I need to extract more, Satan help me!

  • one of the best death metal songs ever

  • awesome song weird vid though!

  • Good old grind/death sickness, lovin it!!!

Gods of grind tour all day!

  • I LOVE CARCASS fück U stupid baby-metal fans

  • michael ammot has swedish parents swedish but was raised in england

  • although i like this song, i think they should keep playing like their first 2 albums, damn you Michael Ammot, i hate you

  • I don't think it was Mike's fault. He liked "Symphonies Of Sickness". I think it rather was their labelmates at Earache who affected them to do a more straight death metal style.
