u have no idea what this made for me.. there are some musical tunes out there that if you listen to them more than once you'll ruin it for yourself.. I think this was the perfect tune for in the perfect time for me even though it's the first time i listen to it!
Nicely played, however I have one criticism - You need to work on improving tone production. You sounded twangy on the trebles. Incidentally I also have to work on this problem in my playing.
Excelente. O som bem equilibrado. Gostei muito. Esse estudo também me ajudou muito na técnica de apoio da mão direita. É sempre bom postar exercícios bem executados para ajudar nos estudos dos participantes do youtube. Obrigado e parabéns
Wouaouw, thank you very much for this very nice moment! I'm learning this peace and it's hard! But I'll make it one day just like you do (I wish). I'll try to move my right hand to have a better sound, just like you do. Thank you again!
your performance is so beautiful, but at the same time you seem to have a great arrangement for recording. Can you tell me what mic you are using, and do you do any post performance edits? I dont think you do, but just asking for my own learning.
Hey, no criticizing intended, really wondering, did you change the song for it to be easier to play, or is that really the real way to play it, with the classical technique and whatnot? Just asking because I'm starting classical guitar and I am trying to do everything right for a possible audition for xchool later on, so don't think I'm asking that in a doubting way or whatever :P
is a great job dude you play really clean but in some parts i dont really hear what is the bass n the melodic line. no ofense but try to keep lower the bass, out of that great job 5 stars
Loved it, unlike some of the commenters here I had no problem at all with the tempo, and I thought the occassional slow-downs just made it sound more emotional.
I think towards the end you could work on the dynamic (it gets very dramatic, and then it ends sort of softly). Apart from that, I thought it was excellent.
There is no standard tempo marking for this study. It may be played at a nice walking pace and retain its musicality. So you are wrong on that score. I thought it was a charming performance.
It is true that there were a few breaks but I did not find to be so distracting. Technique is the ground a musician stands on, but it is not the sole focus. I am more offended by thoughtless performances than minor flaws. Consider the late Segovia performances. Some of them are just not all that great compared to his prime. But they are still lovely to hear. Please take no offense by my statements. It is You Tube after all. It's meant to be fun.
I thought his tempo was suitably moderate also had no issue with the slight pauses which if anything made it more graceful by creating breathing space. You evidently prefer a more mechanical interpretation.
i agree that a touch faster. and there shouldn't be a pause it should just be a retardando. it seemed that you just didn't remember the change fast enough on the C maj (IX) arpeggio. The piece should have momentum from one chord to the next.
and this is classical guitar - to anyone else who doesn't play and doesn't understand constructive criticism - TONE is everything.
sir, i have to say i came to think of you as my brouwer teacher... :) now i found out you are playing this one by carcassi as well. so i'll definitely have to thank you so much for your help!
This might be crap but it worked for me: try metronome @ 60 clicks per note and work on the transition into the F# m chord.. over and over again. it's only a half bar so that part is easy, i found the important part was to get my thumb underneath the higher frets to support my 3 and 4 finger. This got every note ringing nicely. It is a bit of a reach though and my hand hurts a little bit by the time i'm ready to move to the next chord.
thanks, man. That part is pretty smooth now. I'm working on a sor chord study, and a Brouwer etude now. MY jury's coming up so i need to get them as smooth as possible.
Wow!! 5 stars that was great, you have so much feeling with this piece. I'm working on this now, can play it all but have some problems on the barre part in the first section at the end. For some reason sometimes the notes come out a little dead no matter how hard I barre that section (the barre at 22sec on video) Just sometimes not real clear. any sug. or tricks to that barre?I think I have my elbow back enough and pulling down on it . lol.. oh well lots more pratice
Every piece has his hairy moments. Just play that bar seperately, let every note ring until you're comfortable, then do the sequence with one bar before the tricky one.
The trick with barre is not to press any harder but put your fingers better!

it would have been better if you played it faster. plus I didn`t much like the delays that you made between the chords, you shouldn`t do this mistake.
but it`s good in overall.

chopin65 2 years ago 7
alright how about the delays between the positions? does the score say that the player have to stop before when changing positions?
that's what I didn`t much like in his performance. I`d rather hear the note played impure but in the right beat.

Hello Jasper my friend,
How are you these days, I must say that your technique is improving a lot.
You inspire me with this etude from Carcassi.
In my book from Armand Coeck this is rated 5th grade and it's on my favourites list for this schoolyear that's starts tonight.
I'm waiting for my new H2 these days and after some try outs of this new toy I will also post again.
My regards an 5*

Hi Björn,
Thanks a lot for your nice comment and the stars,
The only reasonI can see it's 5th grade is the changing of position, since the arpeggio pattern is basic stuff!
