  • lol i almost believed that was him...

  • The great American philosopher was was not afraid to tackle the difficult issues of his day. It was he who said, "If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous he will not bite you. That is the principal difference between a dog and a man." The profound make known by way of that which is seemingly simple.

  • Funny thing, a fiction author slandering liars. The only way it would be more ironic is if he were a magician.

  • @Makingnewnamesisdumb

he is not just a fictional author good sir

  • @skormz10 And Penn Jillette isn't JUST a magician, but they are both still in the business of deception and tall tales. These are fabrications that don't hurt anybody, but they are fabrications none the less and require the same sort of yarn weaving skills that liars do.

  • @Makingnewnamesisdumb I bet you really think that is logically sound too.

  • @cryjesuscry What are you referring to? And what's the problem?

  • Mark Twain, i.e. Sam Clemens, was actually 12 when his father died, so that's a lie when he talks of his attitude about his father from ages 14 to 21.

  • ahahh you guys realize this isn't Mark Twain Right? He died wayy before the time of color TV.

  • This was genius.

  • When was this filmed?

  • @Boudiga Hal Holbrook, 'Mark Twain Tonight'. It was a one-man stage show, filmed in 1967. I saw it the first time around. Thanks to paxgnbru for posting it.
