this is more like a classic FPS. The predator does not behave like that. running around with the blaster, speargun etc. The predator is more like stealthy approach, grab throat and cut off his head, more up in trees scouting an area before killing victims. but of course this is an old game so im not blaming you of course.

I'm pretty sure you mixed them up. In the original version it's a guy standing in front of a green sheet, speaking without any enthusiasm or energy in his voice. In the gold version there are special effects, energy, shouting, ACTING, and the guy is wearing much more belivable marine gear and clothing.

There is a reason I reviewed original version instead of Gold version. And no matter what you say I still think the Gold version has CRAPPY actors. @gameduct You can watch the original actors from the 1999 version of AvP on the Steam 2000 Classic edition. All you have to do is:

1 - Rename the folder called FMV located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\a­liens versus predator classic to FMV_old and cut and paste it somewhere safe.

2 - Then put the original 1999 AvP disc in (the data disc not the music disc) and locate the FMV folder on the disc and copy and paste it to the location mentioned above.

the game wasnt to hard for me ive completed all the story modes for each species and yes ive played the call of duty games. this game was just a bit boring doing the same stuff over and over again even as a marine you are separated from your squad somthing like 30 seconds in the game and u never really get any help especially in a game like this you need someone to watch your back. multiplayer was good for this.

Predator isn't much fun if you play him like that spamming plasma. I always cloaked an tried to melee the marines an only blasted the aliens. But yeah I think AvP2 is mostly better just my opinion. Lets hope the new one from Rebellion will top them both though.

The reason I made the review is cause the game is very special to me. And I think it is better than avp2 in allmost every way. Avp2 is scripted all the way, making a second play predictable and boring. The graphic in AvP2 is allso too bright and colorful and looks cartoonish. I usually like monolith games, but here they failed. Seems they used too much textures from their No One Lives Forever Game
