I just really don't like those narrow-minded, short-sighted, self-proclaimed philosophers, who can only look upon something from one perspective. Question: Our emotional circuitry is based on a 100man society (not a society of billions). Question: Our emotional circuitry is based on a 100man society (not a society of billions). Dont you think its possible that religion has evolved into such a huge part of our society becuase its needed in our society to get the majority of the people to "fly straight". we are not built for a international society and if you look at how violently animal societies hierarkies are kept in check, if our emotional circuitry is similar then having religion to keep us in check might be nessesary.

@gooieslee Yes I know science helps people but religion does as well...both have their pro's and cons. I'm just saying...you can't blame religion for wars, it's the individual people that interpret the religious books that are made by people in a harmful way. This does not mean religion is necessarily a bad thing. And Muslims do get state aid just like Christians to build their religious houses here. And I agree they should get that. I have no problems with it at all.

There are huge cultural differences within the world, everyone has different values. I would not want to judge about what is good and what is bad regarding religion and state. Also every state that has a lot of implied religious values, like the human rights. Look at the constitution of your country.
