this gives me so much hope! Im on the 360 but in BC2 (EVEN though it was a dumb move, it felt more realistic and safe) I would ALWAYS fly low and fast like your pilot there. the others would fly high and slow but i noticed although it looks like it was easier in BC2 they would get shot down a lot. now that theres jets ig ill be the among the best! @goldbear42 pilot's rockets? you don't take out tanks without your gunner's support, too unpowered. Gunner's cannon itself can take out tank with no problem, maybe too powered, but if your going to take out MAA / LAV you need all the chopper's firepower to do that. It would be more realistic and fair to balance power of those two.

i see you take guided missiles and the extinguisher. whats your opinion on these missiles?

@goldbear42 If you looked my tank/heli vid, you saw that guided missile is not for fast attack, it takes too long to lock on target and the distance for lock is too short. if you'r in hurry to shoot, but that almost takes out tank by himself so it's balanced someway :)

I've seen plenty of bad flyiers playing the Beta. And not bad as in "just learning to fly"; I mean bad as in take off without a gunner, fly as high as possible and get immediately shot down repeatedly.

I always like watching vids with people that knows how to fly in games, and by that I don't mean (only) trick flying, but also knowing how to maneuver into position. Too many players have no idea what flanking means.

@Radintoriov As someone who had 200+ kills in the Jets, not counting disables, I loved munching on idiotic helicopter pilots who spent time above the treeline. There's no excuse for taking off without a gunner. The chain gun now does thee most damage to every target, not just infantry, so it's important to have one. Also, unlocks/kits stack. So if you take an extinguisher, your gunner can take zoom optics. If you both take flares, you can launch them twice etc... 2 slot vehicles are powerful.

@mmx25 You are absolutely right. I mean, me and a friend started flying a helo (whenever we could find one free, of course), and since I always flew low and trying to give my gunner a good line of fire on an enemy (I kept rockets as a backup weapon rather than primary), he got more points and unlocked flares before me. I tell you, those things came in handy when the enemy engineers concentrated on taking us down. Also staggered releases of double flares worked greatly to avoid getting hit.

The flying is low, because you can't fly any higher for a few seconds longer before you are being shot at from at least 2 Stingers, an AA tank and a jet. And in BC2, there's not much no dodge in low flying, a few poles etc. per map, in the Caspian Border, there are trees, lightposts (eg. freeway) and changing geometry a lot. Harder to fly in this than in BC2 or BF2.

@GeneralSub this is a game you must remember. The physics I have seen playing Operation Metro with a sniper rifle are way off. Bullet drop seems a lot higher than it would be in real life considering the muzzle velocity of some of these guns and the distance. 200m and you seem to be aiming a foot above their heads.

Good stuff :) Some nice moves there although mainly just low flying. I only wish I could have got some footage of myself on Xbox in BFBC2. Converting to PC now so hope to be able to pick up flying as quickly as I did on there.

@TheIRAmike I believe the laws of physics cause his rockets to be more accurate. He's flying at high speeds when firing so those rockets take that speed along with their own, and have less time to veer off course.

@catachan186 You can get the same results from both. Depends on the pilot. I use the mouse to fly the jet, and had entire rounds where I didn't get shot down. Personal preference thing.

This is how the helo should be used. Unfortunately, few pilots have this ability or sense. The Heli was a free kill anytime I spotted it in my jet because it was always floating around slowly and without cover. I hope to see it used more effectively to munch up the abundance of tanks always rolling around.

It would show the flying mechanics better if it was from the pilot view, but since I'm the pilot and my comp can't keep a steady FPS, it's risky to fly.

Thanks for the video! Although i'm not really convinced of the chopper flying mechanics yet but this was the first video i've seen that looked challenging and fun to play. Not BF2-like, rather like on of that martix-hovercrafts.

Most others are either videos without any notable opposition or, on the other side, chopper massacres.
