I read this book for an independent novel study project. It was very intense and had many important messages. I plan to read the sequel in my spare time, and I think it would be a good idea if the series was made into a movie!

in my opinion the bar code tattoo was poorly written and mfumbe and kayla's other boyfriend are very alike in demeanour personality and speech- if Suzanne Weyn would have given the outline of this book to another author it probably would have one a few prizes- it seems as if the author knew the plot and meaning of what she wanted the story to be but did not know how to word it and did not put much thought into what she wrote. Also, the book was poorly edited

oh yeah and btw. barcode tattoos real meanings are that of individuality, that barcode belongs to a specific item and there is not another one like it. and my tattoo artist told me that in the book of revolation the barcode is the mark of the beast. which i think is SICK!

I really liked this book, but it creeped me out, maybe because Kayla Reed and I look and act so much alike. Hell, we have the same first and middle names. We both have a blue streak in our hair. My best friend acts just like Amber, and Kayla's reactions are almost exactly what my reactions would be - and I'm not just saying that. Never mind the fact that the book takes place in 2012 and she's sixteen and in 2012 I'll be sixteen. There's schizofrnia in both our families.
