Im really not looking forward to this new doctor. Perhaps now that the whole production team are on the way out the whole universe should go up in flames and time is erased. I really believe doctor who is gonna crash and burn. The TARDIS looks like it will finally be put to sleep.
The Waters of Mars is in November, with Tennant's last two specials most likely to be Xmas Day and New Year's Day - as it's a 2-parter (with the Master, no less!)
Matt Smith's first ep will be in the Spring of 2010, and I expect it'll be the Easter weekend.

Thanks for putting this up, here in Australia of course we don't get to see this stuff. As for the Doctor's new outfit it's brilliant!! A lot of people are complaining it's not like DT's outfit, well of course it's not! With each Doctor there's always been a different outfit. I personally love it. Anything else on such a young actor just wouldn't be Doctor Whoish.

I agree that the Doctor is returning to the traditional suit and bowtie and that the TARDIS is going back to its original look but I think it doesn't quite work. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Mr. Smith is a good actor, but I just can't take him seriously as the Doctor in THAT Oxford professor suit!

There's no other reason to have a TARDIS this pristine after NINE HUNDRED PLUS YEARS of travel!!

It's not what I expected. It's really stripped down old school style. Very Troughton. The tardis exterior has changed slightly too in the sun online photo's. I like it.
I TOTALLY agree about the Troughton-esque look (I hope Matt's acting is as good lol), though I'm not sure I agree that its looking 'the way to go' at the moment. Just my opinion...:)
It's not good in the series that I saw him in. However, the coolest thing that I saw him in that convinced me he would be a good Doctor is the deleated scene in 'In Bruges'. He's bloody brilliant in that few minutes that he had. Totally would have stolen the show if it had been left in the movie.

And don't you dare go saying im not a real fan, because ive always thought the old ones were way better than the new ones, and yes ive seen the Three doctors(I got it on DVD) and the five doctors, and War Games on Dvd, ive seen The Invasion but I dont have it on DVD, which I also have on dvd.

WHAT STORY? rose? thats all the last 4 series were. the show is about the dr not his obsessedd blonde bimbo of a companion who didn't want him just cos he didn't have 2 hearts. The reason the quality of writing deteriorated was because RTD molded all 4 series around rose

Im really not looking forward to this new doctor. Perhaps now that the whole production team are on the way out the whole universe should go up in flames and time is erased. I really believe doctor who is gonna crash and burn. The TARDIS looks like it will finally be put to sleep.

The Waters of Mars is in November, with Tennant's last two specials most likely to be Xmas Day and New Year's Day - as it's a 2-parter (with the Master, no less!)
Matt Smith's first ep will be in the Spring of 2010, and I expect it'll be the Easter weekend.

Thanks for putting this up, here in Australia of course we don't get to see this stuff. As for the Doctor's new outfit it's brilliant!! A lot of people are complaining it's not like DT's outfit, well of course it's not! With each Doctor there's always been a different outfit. I personally love it. Anything else on such a young actor just wouldn't be Doctor Whoish.
To the younger one's please Matt a go. Doctor Who always changes, we wont have a DT every few years, sorry.

Lol, I really don't like the WHOLE ne look of doctor who, I loved the suit and converses, and the new tardis, but its k7now going ack to classic again.
Im sorry for all the classic fans, but Im only 14 and have loved this whole new modern look, I also really am going to miss david tennant, he was such a goodlooking, well suitd part..Well, lets see hat happens!

Do you really believe that Doctor Who is returning to the classic set-up? Because, in my personal opinion, that isn't what's happening here.
I agree that the Doctor is returning to the traditional suit and bowtie and that the TARDIS is going back to its original look but I think it doesn't quite work. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Mr. Smith is a good actor, but I just can't take him seriously as the Doctor in THAT Oxford professor suit!
Ah well, here's hoping it'll change for the better...

Yeah! However, out of respect for Mr. Smith as an actor and as a person, I'm going to give him a chance. Who knows? Maybe it'll work bringing the Doctor back down to his roots again. And he HAS been carefully chosen by Stephen Moffatt: a greater writer and a particularly good writer of Doctor Who!
And, should Mr. Smith fail miserably after the first series, THEN we sic him!!! :D lol

spesh when such a talented actor has played it, such as DT who has really made the charecter his own -- this is the first time i'm gonna see the doctor change as a fan of the series and am really worried tht DT is not gonna be able to fill the shoes, however i am gonna try and jusge him only on his performance and not in comparision to DT (WHO IS AWESOME!!)

well uhm... the outfit however awfulish (idiot man-child and child in his grandfather's clothes come to mind) actually works for matt. amy is adorable but i'm not diggin' the converse... too much a Ten throw back and as for the TARDIS... the only explanation for THAT is that she regenerates with Ten in some horrible explosion! There's no other reason to have a TARDIS this pristine after NINE HUNDRED PLUS YEARS of travel!!

as for Matt's costume... i'm growing to like it, but i'm really not sure about Karen's, it's a little bit odd... i've seen other pictures... but then again costumes come to life on film...
then theres the shiny new TARDIS aswell (see pictures on the Sun website, as well as a massive spoiler) it's a little too 'blue'... but i am so excited!!!!

It's not what I expected. It's really stripped down old school style. Very Troughton. The tardis exterior has changed slightly too in the sun online photo's. I like it.

It's not good in the series that I saw him in. However, the coolest thing that I saw him in that convinced me he would be a good Doctor is the deleated scene in 'In Bruges'. He's bloody brilliant in that few minutes that he had. Totally would have stolen the show if it had been left in the movie.
