The very first zombie you encounter in RE1 still terrifies me to this very day even after 14 or 15 years I think of me first seeing it as a young kid. I still cover my eyes lol

@MrCorrupted17 Suppose that he DID survive he would have survived not ONLY a bath of lava,but also a rocket. We can only hope he is alive but I'm not sure if I like the idea of him surviving something like that, you know a bit to unrealistic. Resident always kept a certain realism.You did had 2 things right. Your comparison from Albert to the terminator because the terminator died in a lava bath like Wesker(the other terminators were other builds).And that Wesker made ResidentEvil Wicked awsome.

Resident evil DIED! No more Wesker.Not even his death was worthy it's a pity..he injected himself with the las plagas(WHY)which made him malformed and hideous,and then died by falling in lava and getting a rocket on his ass..so sad/UNORIGINAL.No more Umbrella,no Zombies,no Puzzles.(puzzles in 4/5 cannot be called puzzles!)No Horror,no more T/G Virus or other strains like the Veronica virus. What's left is a shadow of its former self and whiteout its title history, Resident evil would be nothing!
@ndewild2 it wasn't even the plagas, Uroboros? really? He spent 10 years collecting every infection out there just to mix it all up. T, G, T - Veronica, Plagas.
Shinji Mikami must be laughing his ass off right now. The creator of the series really boosted it all up up to RE4 and he leaves, leaving the 5 in the mud.

Wesker was the most awesome character he shouldn't have died. Neither do I like the new perspectives in resident evil. I am a horror, story and zombie fan. Resident evil doesn't offer me that anymore. Played all games the series and still am a fan of the series because of its history don't get me wrong, but I lost fate.
@jkdreamer01 i agree with both u and ndewild. especially on ur MGS4 opinion. i played MGS for a decade and its ending is EPIC. i might not play MGS rising. i'm afraid i'll be disappointed... my prediction is "R.I.P. tactical espionage action" and "hello lightning bolt action"
@McShieldBash hey man, lay off of Raiden. He redeemed himself multiple times after New York. What he did in Shadow Moses was tear jerking.
I think the stealth genre needs to change up a bit. Splinter Cell Conviction seems like a nice way to go.
Rising will bring in the bucks but it will never live up Solid's legend. As long as they don't make some DMC style hack and slash, I'm still going for it.
@kys5 Too good to be true, I replayed resident evil 3 recently on the psp from start to finish in 3 days. I couldn't stop playing. I think remaking 3 or going back too it's original roots is the best think they can do.. but they won't. Resident evil 2.5 would be awesome idea as well,a story before 3 and after 2 kinda like resident evil zero that came before 1(remake)That way they would have a reason to use the T,G etc viruses again and maybe clone Wesker so we know that after 5 wesker is alive.
@CoenVance92 Not exactly...RE3 takes place over the course of several days, from like September 28th to October 1st. RE2 is during the night of September 30th and the early morning of October 1st. That is if Capcom doesn't do ANOTHER retcon.
@ndewild2 In The Umbrella Cronicles, Wesker gets infected and is back to normal while he argues with the red queen. (Who is a computer.) And escapes just before the abandoned lab self destructs!
@agentpancakes1 I know, But Umbrella Chronicles only play's through the storylines that lay in between of resident evil zero and 3. In resident evil 5, which is after 3, he dies. That he survived zero till 3 is obvious and quite irrelevant. it speaks for himself if you consider that he was still alive until the end of 5.
@ndewild2 It's strongly hinted that his "brother" Alex, who is even more of a badass/genius (he was head of Umbrella's Information Division) will take over as the next villain. There are clues in both the main campaign and Lost In Nightmares abou this.
@PsyrenXY Who knows,If I'm correct he found the secret to immortality but disappeared. The thing is, even though he might be one of the more sadistic and evil ones of the Wesker children,I liked the story of Albert Wesker and the way hey slowly obtained his powers throughout the residentevil series, colecting al viruses.Topping that is nearly impossible.I do hope he has some sort of powers which are based of the T,G or veronica viruses or a combination.Albert was the last real link to the virus
@ndewild2 Well think about it, would the style of gameplay the old games had really be still fun today? People would probably call it dated. RE4 and RE5 adapted to more of a western culture action gameplay style to keep up with today's games. I agree with you there should be more horror but maybe the old gameplay should stay with the past games. What are your thoughts on RE: Operation Raccoon City?

But I don't agree it would be outdated if it used the old style of gameplay.Re was something new when it came to the market even creating a new genre:survival horror.That genre is now lost.Going mean stream made something Original,unoriginal.It lost its identity in the process.About OperationRC: I am getting it,of course,But am afraid it will be taking a step further to mainstream action game.
@ndewild2 Also, while I will admit RE5 had little to no horror elements to it, I thought RE4 was actiony while still keeping a very creepy RE atmosphere. It never really scared me but it still had a good horror element to it I think.
@MarzX1802 There were some parts I liked about 4.I liked the beginning and the mystery about What was going on in that village.That continued till chapter 2 and then it became monotonous..Very monotonous.I liked the weaponupgrades.Graphic were good for that time and most off all I liked the Regenerators and their breading.you could hear them from far away.The regenerators made me grade it from a 3- to a 5 and giving me hope but the chainsaw and machinegun characters made me drop it again to a 4

Sorry to disappoint you but, if you really think that than you may provide a link to prove your claim. I would be very happy if I was the one wrong here which I am undoubtedly not.
@noobofdoom500 In this day and age, we are more likely to get REmakes that resemble 4/5 and not like the 1st. I rather not have REmakes if that's the case.
@ndewild2 i agree but some things are wrong, if you were to look into the newer games you would see that they are "Planning on making some games in the fixed camera style, and resident evil 6 is gonna be a Reboot of the series.

@ndewild2 try resident evil revelations... yeah, resident evil 4 & 5 are shitty games, but i play the revelations demo's version, and, actually is pretty good

The Classic Resident Evils! including the remake were the best! puzzles! horror survival! alll that stuff.... but the new reisdent evil is just your a guy going rambo in africa or some place where they speak spanish :P!!!
I wish the current RE games were more like the originals. They were all about the horror, suspense, mystery, and story telling. Now...all they focus is on is the action
I must have listend to this song hundreds of times since I first heard this piece 6 jears ago. I listen to it almost every week and sometimes 3 times after each other. It takes my mind off things and always make me wonder about important things. Sometimes I forget about this song but somehow I always return.
@JayDetoX I bought RE2 online. Didn't like it nearly as much as I thought I would. I only played 1 and 3 as a kid. ^^' 1 was the best, though. Kinda reminds me of remote island syndrome. :D Limited place to go, slow zombies, hard to get lost, etc, etc. XD The good old days!
If RE had the Graphics of RE5 and the story play of the classics, I would crap rainbows of joy for that. It would be a sight to behold. RE5 had a so-so game-play, but the originals will always be the true heroes.

@schtegg88 definitely man. when i first played these games in my youth lol i always complained about the camera angles cuz it would make it scarier and more difficult in some instances. But now ive come to appreciate that whole technique. Im in love with the atmosphere and plot of this entire game. sadly though, they dont make em like this anymore :/

This video is obviously devoted to "oldschool" Resident Evil and I'm pretty sure you knew that, yet you posted a comment that you knew someone would react to. You're no better than me or anyone who is devoted to any other game series.
No. No it isn't. Resident Evil 5 is not worthy to carry the name of Resident Evil, nor is it worthy to have the names of the old characters in it. It's an action mashup pushed out half-hearted and absolutely worthless to any and all pre Resident Evil movies fans. Then again, you wouldn't understand no matter how much I went into details, nor would you even try. The "arc" had to end sooner or later, but this was not the correct way.
resident evil died after the 3rd game, im sorry but the new alien....bug things are NOT cool, the creepy zombie takeover of little towns in america from old resident evil was so much better, I hate resident evil 4 and 5 and will probably hate all the others unless they revert back to the old ways.

Capcom should remake the old games like RE4 and 5 with 0, 1, 2 and 3 having Co-Op. They could try to put Co-Op in the others, but it might retcon some events. Still, I vote over the shoulder Co-Op on 0, 1, 2 and 3!

Why is the first the best? Because it is creepily beautiful and overall fantastic at creating a nightmare whilst sustaining H.P lovecraft esq gourgously groutesqe horrors that await every corner... No resident evil after CVX has been able to do that once again, except for 4's good moments..
@Aidan0128 Actually, on the subject of Lovecraft, when I first played RE4 I was blown away by the sheer Lovecraftian feel to it, especially the parallels it shared with his "Shadow Over Innsmouth", and the whole basis of a cult devoted to a mysterious, unnatural race of creatures, very reminiscent of the Cthulhu cult in many of his tales. I daresay RE4 was more Lovecraftian than any of the previous ones. The earlier ones remind me more of George Romero than of Lovecraft.
It is true that resident evil 4 did have a wicker man/H.P lovecraft feel to it, and I loved that to tell you the truth... But the previous ones have something 4 or 5 did not have.
Beauty, look at the video just for one minute, play a resident evil game for one minute, it is horrible, sad bloody.. Beauty..I did not see that in 4, I saw a cult game, which isn't bad or anything but..
But it just lacked the utter epicness I expect from the series and its sheer name..
Well done video, and I really love the story behind it, but if I may make a small suggestion, I hope I'm not being too nitpicky, but I think for the parts with Jill playing the piano, you should use her alternate costume from RE3. Since it's supposed to be her in her free time playing the piano while reminiscing, it would make more sense for her to be in civilian wear rather than her S.T.A.R.S. outfit.
I think the movies need a remake as well. They are just fucking awful... how could they have done that to this beautiful franchise?!? Oh my fuck those movies piss me off sooooo much. I think I'm gonna send anthrax to Paul WS Anderson. Fuck him for ever screwing with Resident Evil. This game was too scary to play alone and/or at night. My buddy and I used to play this all the time until the wee hours, and I was always terrified to walk home after we finally finished. What a classic.
Really great music video, and now I realized it's almost 4 years old! I like the recurring scene of Jill playing the piano, the idea of her playing music while seeing some events of the game in the form of a flashback is really great
It seems Jill looses everything in this game. Imagine having all your friends killed in one night, and being scarred from the horror of the undead. This game truly makes me envy Jill.

Final Fantasy is tanking, Resident Evil is backtracking AGAIN, 3rd Birthday ruined PE. Japanese gamers are losing it big time.
Only MGS4 ended spectacularly but it's OVER nonetheless.
Now I'm playing Red Dead and Mass Effect 2.

I agree with you there should be more horror but maybe the old gameplay should stay with the past games. What are your thoughts on RE: Operation Raccoon City?

But I don't agree it would be outdated if it used the old style of gameplay.Re was something new when it came to the market even creating a new genre:survival horror.That genre is now lost.Going mean stream made something Original,unoriginal.It lost its identity in the process.About OperationRC: I am getting it,of course,But am afraid it will be taking a step further to mainstream action game.

@MarzX1802 There were some parts I liked about 4.I liked the beginning and the mystery about What was going on in that village.That continued till chapter 2 and then it became monotonous..Very monotonous.I liked the weaponupgrades.Graphic were good for that time and most off all I liked the Regenerators and their breading.you could hear them from far away.The regenerators made me grade it from a 3- to a 5 and giving me hope but the chainsaw and machinegun characters made me drop it again to a 4

@JayDetoX I bought RE2 online. Didn't like it nearly as much as I thought I would. I only played 1 and 3 as a kid. ^^' 1 was the best, though. Kinda reminds me of remote island syndrome. :D Limited place to go, slow zombies, hard to get lost, etc, etc. XD The good old days!

anyone else think its a shame how resi has gone??I like resi regardless, just for how brilliant it can be but theres something about a fixed camera, going round a corner and running into a zomb that you couldnt see that will always better the free camera of the new generation resis and the whole umbrella involvement with accidental outbreaks and labs and mansions is pure setting genius...resident evil 0,1,2,3 are the only ones for me...why cant we all petition capcom to remake them!!!

But now ive come to appreciate that whole technique. Im in love with the atmosphere and plot of this entire game. sadly though, they dont make em like this anymore :/

No. No it isn't. Resident Evil 5 is not worthy to carry the name of Resident Evil, nor is it worthy to have the names of the old characters in it. It's an action mashup pushed out half-hearted and absolutely worthless to any and all pre Resident Evil movies fans. Then again, you wouldn't understand no matter how much I went into details, nor would you even try. The "arc" had to end sooner or later, but this was not the correct way.

Capcom should remake the old games like RE4 and 5 with 0, 1, 2 and 3 having Co-Op. They could try to put Co-Op in the others, but it might retcon some events. Still, I vote over the shoulder Co-Op on 0, 1, 2 and 3!

Why is the first the best? Because it is creepily beautiful and overall fantastic at creating a nightmare whilst sustaining H.P lovecraft esq gourgously groutesqe horrors that await every corner... No resident evil after CVX has been able to do that once again, except for 4's good moments..

@Aidan0128 Actually, on the subject of Lovecraft, when I first played RE4 I was blown away by the sheer Lovecraftian feel to it, especially the parallels it shared with his "Shadow Over Innsmouth", and the whole basis of a cult devoted to a mysterious, unnatural race of creatures, very reminiscent of the Cthulhu cult in many of his tales. I daresay RE4 was more Lovecraftian than any of the previous ones. The earlier ones remind me more of George Romero than of Lovecraft.

It is true that resident evil 4 did have a wicker man/H.P lovecraft feel to it, and I loved that to tell you the truth... But the previous ones have something 4 or 5 did not have.
Beauty, look at the video just for one minute, play a resident evil game for one minute, it is horrible, sad bloody.. Beauty..I did not see that in 4, I saw a cult game, which isn't bad or anything but..
But it just lacked the utter epicness I expect from the series and its sheer name..

Well done video, and I really love the story behind it, but if I may make a small suggestion, I hope I'm not being too nitpicky, but I think for the parts with Jill playing the piano, you should use her alternate costume from RE3. Since it's supposed to be her in her free time playing the piano while reminiscing, it would make more sense for her to be in civilian wear rather than her S.T.A.R.S. outfit.

This game was too scary to play alone and/or at night. My buddy and I used to play this all the time until the wee hours, and I was always terrified to walk home after we finally finished. What a classic.
