To TenorClef, there is no "hisses on some of the higher keys" happened on my NP-30, but,its happened slightly on my left side speaker when I play chord keys!!
Contact Yamaha! There are many NP-30's that have a problem with high frequency noise. If you hear this in your left speakers your NP-30 is probably affected too. Mine is scheduled for a warranty repair this weekend at a local certified Yamaha Tech.
I just took my NP-30 into a local tech for a warranty repair for this problem today. While there I tested his floor model NP-30 and his unit had the EXACT same problem. If anyone wants more detail about this just drop IM me here on the Tube, and I'll be happy to go into detail.

Yes, the problem can be solved without charge. As long as you're still within your warranty.

That´s not only a problem on the NP 30. I have this Sound Problem on my Yamaha EZ 200 Keyboard too....
